< 1 Timothy 6 >

1 Tengban Mapugi ming amadi eikhoigi tambiba asi thina ngangdanaba, minaigi potpu puribasingna, makhoigi mapusingbu ikai khumnabada matik chabani haina khan-gadabani.
Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine may not be blasphemed.
2 Christian-singna mapu oiriba makhoising aduna, makhoi thajaba maselni haiduna thawoi usittaba touroidabani. Madugi mahutta maduna henna phajana thougal tougadabani; maramdi makhoina touriba thougal adudagi kanaba phangliba adu thajabasingni amasung makhoina nungsijabasingni. Hiramsing asi nahakna tambiyu amasung thoujinbiyu.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
3 Eikhoigi Mapu Ibungo Jisu Christtagi achumba wahei amasung eikhoigi laininggi tambiba adudagi tonganba kanagumbana tambirabadi,
If any man teacheth otherwise, and agreeth not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 makhoidi karisu khangdaba amasung napan toubasingni. Yetnaba amasung waheigi maramda chinda paodanaba pammi maduna kalakpa, yetnaba, yengthinabagi wari, phattana chingnaba thok-halli,
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, from which cometh envy, strife, railings, evil suspicions,
5 amasung achumba adu leitraba, pukning phattraba misinggi marakta tattana yanadaba thok-halli. Tengban Mapu ningba asi lan-thum tongjanabagi pambeini haina makhoina khalli.
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 Adubu penthokpaga loinana Tengban Mapu ningba haibasi yamna tongjabani.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 Maramdi eikhoina taibangpanda karisu pudana lakle, aduga masidagi eikhoina karisu puba ngamloi.
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 Chanaba amasung setnaba leirabadi maduna eikhoi penthokchagani.
And having food and raiment with these let us be content.
9 Inak khuningba misingdi athembada tai amasung apangba amadi misingbu mangtakpada tahanba phattaba apambasing adugi langda thui.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 Sel pamganbadi phattaba pumnamakki hourakphamni; mi kharadi sel pammanbadagi thajabadagi lammuknakhre aduga awaba kayaga loinana makhoigi thamoi kaire.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some have coveted, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 Adubu he Tengban Mapugi mi, nahakti pumnamak asidagi chenthok-u. Achumba chatpa, Tengban Mapu ningba, thajaba, nungsiba, khaangheiba, pukning tappa oinanaba hotnou.
But thou, O man of God, flee from these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Thajabagi akanba laan adu soknou. Lomba naidaba hingba adu chetna paiyu masida nahakpu koubire amasung sakhi kayagi mamangda nahakna phongdokle. (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 Pumnamakpu hingba pibiriba Tengban Mapu amasung Pontius Pilate-ki mangda mahakki thajaba adu chingnaba leitana haidokkhiba Christta Jisugi mamangda eina nangonda yathang piri,
I command thee in the sight of God, who maketh alive all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 madudi Ibungo Jisu Christta phongdoktriba phaoba amakpa amasung mingchat thiba yaodana yathang asi ngak-u.
That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Yaiphaba amasung Leingakpa, ningthousinggi Ningthou amasung mapusinggi Mapu, Tengban Mapuna madu achaba matamda thok-hanbigani.
Who in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Sinaidaba asi Ibungo Mahak khaktani amadi kananasu changsinba ngamdaba mangal aduda Ibungo mahak lei. Aduga kana amatana Ibungo mahakpu ukhidri amasung ubasu ngamde. Ibungo mangonda ikai khumnaba amasung lomba naidana panggal leiba oirasanu! Amen. (aiōnios g166)
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Houjikki taibangpanba asida inakkhullibasing makhoina pukning nawangdanaba amadi areppa leitaba landa asa thamdanaba adubu eikhoibu nungainanaba pot pumnamak marang kaina pibiba Tengban Mapuda makhoigi asa thamjanaba yangthang piyu. (aiōn g165)
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (aiōn g165)
18 Aphaba thabak tounaba, aphaba thabakta inak khunnaba amasung pina heiba oinanaba amadi makhoigi areiba adu ateisingga saruk yaminnanaba makhoida yathang piyu.
That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to share;
19 Matou asumna lakkadaba matamgidamak makhoina achetpa yumpham thonbagumna makhoigidamak makhoina lansing peisinjagani, asumna achumba hingba oiriba hingba adubu makhoina paijagani.
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
20 Timothy, nangonda sinnaraba adu ngak-u; Tengban Mapubu ikai khumnadaba wa ngangba amadi mioi kharana lanna “Lousingni” haina kounaba yanadaba wakhallonsing adudagi mai leithok-u.
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
21 Mioi kharadi madu phangle haijaduna thajaba adudagi leithokkhre. Thoujalna nakhoi pumnamakta loinabisanu.
Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen. The first to Timothy was written from Laodicea, which is the chiefest city of Phrygia Pacatiana.
