1 ൧ ഒരു ഗീതം; കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം; സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്ക്; മഹലത്ത് രാഗത്തിൽ പ്രതിഗാനത്തിനായി; എസ്രാഹ്യനായ ഹേമാന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനം. എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ രാവും പകലും തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു;

A song, a psalm of the sons of Korah; for the chief musician; set to the Mahalath Leannoth style. A maschil of Heman the Ezrahite. Yahweh, God of my salvation, I cry out day and night before you.

2 ൨ എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന തിരുമുൻപിൽ വരുമാറാകട്ടെ; എന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കു ചെവി ചായിക്കണമേ.

Listen to my prayer; pay attention to my cry.

3 ൩ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ കഷ്ടതകൊണ്ട് നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജീവൻ പാതാളത്തോട് സമീപിക്കുന്നു. (Sheol h7585)

For I am filled with troubles, and my life has reached Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

4 ൪ കുഴിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ എന്നെ എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ബലഹീനനായ മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയാകുന്നു.

People treat me like those who go down into the pit; I am a man with no strength.

5 ൫ ശവക്കുഴിയിൽ കിടക്കുന്ന ഹതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരെ അങ്ങ് പിന്നെ ഓർക്കുന്നില്ല; അവർ അങ്ങയുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

I am abandoned among the dead; I am like the dead who lie in the grave, about whom you care no more because they are cut off from your power.

6 ൬ അങ്ങ് എന്നെ ഏറ്റവും താണകുഴിയിലും ഇരുട്ടിലും ആഴങ്ങളിലും ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

You place me in the lowest part of the pit, in the dark and deep places.

7 ൭ അങ്ങയുടെ ക്രോധം എനിക്ക് ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ എല്ലാ തിരകളുംകൊണ്ട് അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ വലച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)

Your wrath lies heavy on me, and all your waves crash over me. (Selah)

8 ൮ എന്റെ പരിചയക്കാരെ അവിടുന്ന് എന്നോട് അകറ്റി, അവർക്ക് എന്നോട് വെറുപ്പായിരിക്കുന്നു; പുറത്തിറങ്ങുവാൻ കഴിയാത്തവിധം എന്നെ അടച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Because of you, my acquaintances avoid me. You have made me a shocking sight to them. I am hemmed in and I cannot escape.

9 ൯ എന്റെ കണ്ണ് കഷ്ടതഹേതുവായി ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ദിവസംപ്രതി അങ്ങയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുകയും എന്റെ കൈകളെ അങ്ങയിലേക്ക് മലർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

My eyes grow weary from trouble; All day long I call out to you, Yahweh; I spread out my hands to you.

10 ൧൦ അവിടുന്ന് മരിച്ചവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുമോ? മൃതന്മാർ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് അങ്ങയെ സ്തുതിക്കുമോ? (സേലാ)

Will you do wonders for the dead? Will those who have died rise and praise you? (Selah)

11 ൧൧ ശവക്കുഴിയിൽ അങ്ങയുടെ ദയയെയും വിനാശത്തിൽ അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെയും വർണ്ണിക്കുമോ?

Will your covenant faithfulness be proclaimed in the grave, your loyalty in the place of the dead?

12 ൧൨ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ അങ്ങയുടെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും വിസ്മൃതിയുടെ ദേശത്ത് അങ്ങയുടെ നീതിയും വെളിപ്പെടുമോ?

Will your wonderful deeds be known in the darkness, or your righteousness in the place of forgetfulness?

13 ൧൩ എന്നാൽ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോട് നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; രാവിലെ എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ വരുന്നു.

But I cry to you, Yahweh; in the morning my prayer comes before you.

14 ൧൪ യഹോവേ, അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നതെന്തിന്? അങ്ങയുടെ മുഖത്തെ എനിക്ക് മറയ്ക്കുന്നതും എന്തിന്?

Yahweh, why do you reject me? Why do you hide your face from me?

15 ൧൫ ബാല്യംമുതൽ ഞാൻ അരിഷ്ടനും മൃതപ്രായനും ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ ഭീകരതകൾ സഹിച്ച് വലഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

I have always been afflicted and on the verge of death since my youth. I have suffered from your terrors; I am in despair.

16 ൧൬ അങ്ങയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപം എന്റെ മീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ ഭീകരത എന്നെ സംഹരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Your angry actions have passed over me, and your terrifying deeds have annihilated me.

17 ൧൭ അവ ഇടവിടാതെ വെള്ളംപോലെ എന്നെ ചുറ്റുന്നു; അവ ഒരുപോലെ എന്നെ വളയുന്നു.

They surround me like water all the day long; they have all encircled me.

18 ൧൮ സ്നേഹിതനെയും കൂട്ടാളിയെയും അവിടുന്ന് എന്നോട് അകറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർ അന്ധകാരമത്രേ.

You have removed every friend and acquaintance from me. My only acquaintance is the darkness.
