മത്തായി 25
1 ൧ സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം വിളക്കു എടുത്തുകൊണ്ട് മണവാളനെ എതിരേൽക്കുവാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ട പത്തു കന്യകമാരോട് തുല്യം ആയിരിക്കും.
THEN shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins, who taking their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom.
But five of them were provident, and five foolish.
Those who were taking their lamps, took no oil with them:
but the provident took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
But as the bridegroom stayed long, they all slumbered and slept.
Then at midnight the cry came, Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go forth to meet him.
Then all these virgins arose, and set about trimming their lamps.
8 ൮ എന്നാൽ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്തവർ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരോട്: ഞങ്ങളുടെ വിളക്കു കെട്ടുപോകുന്നതു കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണയിൽ കുറെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And the foolish said to the provident, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 ൯ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവർ: ഞങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും തികയാതെ വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾ വില്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി വാങ്ങിക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
But the provident replied, saying, No; lest there be not a sufficiency for us and you: but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 ൧൦ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത കന്യകമാർ വാങ്ങുവാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ മണവാളൻ വന്നു; ഒരുങ്ങിയിരുന്നവർ അവനോടുകൂടെ കല്യാണസദ്യയ്ക്ക് ചെന്ന്; വാതിൽ അടയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
But while they were gone away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they who were prepared went in with him to the marriage-feast: and the door was shut.
11 ൧൧ അതിന്‍റെശേഷം ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത കന്യകമാരും വന്നു: യജമാനനെ, യജമാനനെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി വാതിൽ തുറക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Then came afterwards the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us.
12 ൧൨ അതിന് അവൻ മറുപടിയായി: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു സത്യമായിട്ട് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
But he answering said, Verily, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour in which the Son of man cometh.
For the case is like that of a man, who travelling abroad, called his own servants, and delivered to them his goods.
15 ൧൫ അവരിൽ ഒരുവന് അഞ്ച് താലന്ത്, ഒരുവന് രണ്ടു, ഒരുവന് ഒന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെ ഓരോരുത്തന് അവനവന്റെ പ്രാപ്തിപോലെ കൊടുത്തതിനു ശേഷം യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his several capacity; and immediately went abroad.
He then who had received the five talents, went and traded with them, and acquired five other talents.
In the same manner also he that had the two, gained also himself two others.
But he that had received the one talent, went and digged a hole in the ground, and hid the silver of his master.
Then after a long absence the master of these servants cometh, and maketh a reckoning with them.
20 ൨൦ അഞ്ച് താലന്ത് ലഭിച്ചവൻ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു വേറെ അഞ്ച് താലന്ത് കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു: യജമാനനേ, അഞ്ച് താലന്തല്ലോ എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചത്; ഞാൻ അഞ്ച് താലന്തുകൂടെ നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And he who had received the five talents, coming to him, brought five other talents, saying, Sir, thou deliveredst to me five talents: I have gained to them five other talents.
21 ൨൧ അവന്റെ യജമാനൻ: അവനെ അനുമോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, നന്ന് നല്ലവനും വിശ്വസ്തനുമായ ദാസനേ, നീ അല്പകാര്യങ്ങളിൽ പോലും വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അനേക കാര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് വിചാരകനാക്കും; നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ആനന്ദത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്ക എന്നു അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
His master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many: enter into the joy of thy master.
22 ൨൨ രണ്ടു താലന്ത് ലഭിച്ചവനും അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: യജമാനനേ, രണ്ടു താലന്തല്ലോ എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചത്; ഞാൻ രണ്ടു താലന്തുകൂടെ നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Then came also he that had received the two talents: and said, Sir, thou deliveredst to me two talents: lo! I have gained to them two other talents.
23 ൨൩ അതിന് യജമാനൻ: അവനെ അനുമോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, നന്ന് നല്ലവനും വിശ്വസ്തനുമായ ദാസനേ, നീ അല്പകാര്യങ്ങളിൽ വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അധിക കാര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് വിചാരകനാക്കും; നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ആനന്ദത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്ക എന്നു അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
His master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many: enter thou into thy master’s joy.
24 ൨൪ പിന്നീട് ഒരു താലന്ത് ലഭിച്ചവനും അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: യജമാനനേ, നീ വിതയ്ക്കാത്തിടത്തുനിന്ന് കൊയ്യുകയും വിതറാത്തിടത്തുനിന്ന് ചേർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കർശനക്കാരനായ മനുഷ്യൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞ്
Then came also he that had received the one talent, and said, Sir, knowing thee, that thou art a severe man, reaping where thou hast not sowed, and gathering from whence thou hast not scattered:
25 ൨൫ ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെട്ട് നീ എനിക്ക് തന്ന താലന്ത് നിലത്തു മറച്ചുവച്ചു; ഇതാ, നിനക്ക് അവകാശപ്പെട്ടത് എടുത്തുകൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
and being afraid, I went and hid thy talent in the ground: see here, thou hast thine own.
26 ൨൬ അതിന് യജമാനൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്: ദുഷ്ടനും മടിയനും ആയ ദാസനേ, ഞാൻ വിതയ്ക്കാത്തിടത്ത് നിന്നു കൊയ്യുകയും വിതറാത്തിടത്തുനിന്ന് ചേർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എന്നു നീ അറിഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.
Then his master answering said to him, Thou wicked and idle slave, thou knewest that I reap whence I had not sown, and gather where I had not scattered:
27 ൨൭ നീ എന്റെ പണം പൊൻവാണിഭക്കാരെ ഏല്പിക്കേണ്ടിയിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ വന്നു എന്റെ പണം പലിശയോടുകൂടെ വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളുമായിരുന്നു.
thou oughtest then to have placed my money with the bankers, so when I came I should have received my own with interest.
Take therefore from him the talent, and give it to him that hath the ten talents.
29 ൨൯ അങ്ങനെ ഉള്ളവന് ഏവനും ലഭിക്കും; അവന് സമൃദ്ധിയും ഉണ്ടാകും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടോ ഉള്ളതുംകൂടെ എടുത്തുകളയും.
For to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: but from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
30 ൩൦ എന്നാൽ ഈ പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്ത ദാസനെ ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുട്ടിലേക്ക് എറിഞ്ഞുകളയുവിൻ; അവിടെ കരച്ചിലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.
And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 ൩൧ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തന്റെ തേജസ്സോടെ സകല ദൂതന്മാരുമായി വരുമ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ തേജസ്സിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കും.
But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory:
32 ൩൨ സകല ജാതികളേയും അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കൂട്ടും; അവൻ അവരെ ഓരോരുത്തരായി ഇടയൻ ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളെയും കോലാടുകളെയും തമ്മിൽ വേർതിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ വേർതിരിക്കും,
and before him shall all the nations be gathered together; and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats:
and he shall place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
34 ൩൪ രാജാവ് തന്റെ വലത്തുള്ളവരോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും: എന്റെ പിതാവിനാൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരേ, വരുവിൻ; ലോകസ്ഥാപനം മുതൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കായി ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യം അവകാശമാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ.
Then shall the King say to those on his right-hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
35 ൩൫ എനിക്ക് വിശന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ ഭക്ഷണം തന്നു; എനിക്ക് ദാഹിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾ കുടിക്കുവാൻ തന്നു; ഞാൻ അപരിചിതനായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടു;
for I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me to drink: I was a stranger, and ye received me hospitably:
36 ൩൬ ഞാൻ നഗ്നനായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ധരിപ്പിച്ചു; ഞാൻ രോഗിയായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ സംരക്ഷിച്ചു; തടവിൽ ആയിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.
naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye took care of me: I was in prison, and ye came to me.
37 ൩൭ അതിന് നീതിമാന്മാർ അവനോട്: കർത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങൾ എപ്പോൾ നിന്നെ വിശന്നു കണ്ടിട്ട് ഭക്ഷണം തരികയോ ദാഹിച്ചു കണ്ടിട്ട് കുടിക്കുവാൻ തരികയോ ചെയ്തു?
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When indeed saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
When indeed saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 ൪൦ രാജാവ് അവരോട്: എന്റെ ഈ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുവന് നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തേടത്തോളം എല്ലാം എനിക്ക് ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ട് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും.
And the king answering shall say to them, Verily I tell you, for as much as ye have done it to one of these my brethren, the very least of them, ye have done it unto me.
41 ൪൧ പിന്നെ അവൻ ഇടത്തുള്ളവരോട്: ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരെ, എന്നെവിട്ടു പിശാചിനും അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാർക്കും ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിത്യാഗ്നിയിലേക്ക് പോകുവിൻ. (aiōnios g166)
Then shall he say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (aiōnios g166)
for I was hungry, and ye gave me nothing to eat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me nothing to drink:
43 ൪൩ അപരിചിതനായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടില്ല; നഗ്നനായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ധരിപ്പിച്ചില്ല; രോഗിയും തടവിലും ആയിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കാണ്മാൻ വന്നില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും.
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye did not clothe me: sick, and in prison, and ye took no care of me.
44 ൪൪ അതിന് അവർ: കർത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ വിശക്കുന്നവനോ ദാഹിക്കുന്നവനോ അപരിചിതനോ നഗ്നനോ രോഗിയോ തടവിലോ ആയി എപ്പോൾ കണ്ട് നിനക്ക് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും. അവൻ അവരോട്:
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 ൪൫ ഈ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിവരിൽ ഒരുവന് നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നതെല്ലാം എനിക്ക് ആകുന്നു ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞത് എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ട് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.
Then shall he reply to them, saying, For as much as ye have not done it to one of the least of these, neither have ye done it to me.
