ലൂക്കോസ് 6
1 ൧ ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ യേശു വിളഭൂമിയിൽ കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ കതിർ പറിച്ചു കൈകൊണ്ട് തിരുമ്മിത്തിന്നു.
Now it happened on the second chief Sabbath that he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain, and ate, rubbing them in their hands.
But some of the Pharisees said to them, "Why do you do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?"
3 ൩ യേശു അവരോട്: ദാവീദ് തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും വിശന്നപ്പോൾ എന്താണ് ചെയ്തത്? അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്ന്
Jesus, answering them, said, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him;
4 ൪ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരും തിന്നരുതാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം വാങ്ങി തിന്നുകയും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്ക് കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ളത് നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?"
He said to them, "The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath."
6 ൬ മറ്റൊരു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ അവൻ പള്ളിയിൽ ചെന്ന് ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ വലങ്കൈ ശോഷിച്ച ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
It also happened on another Sabbath that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered.
7 ൭ ശാസ്ത്രികളും പരീശരും അവനിൽ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാൻ എന്തെങ്കിലും കാരണം അന്വേഷിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അവൻ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ആ മനുഷ്യനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുമോ എന്നു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
The scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him.
8 ൮ അവരുടെ വിചാരം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ട് അവൻ ശോഷിച്ച കയ്യുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോടു: എഴുന്നേറ്റ് നടുവിൽ നില്ക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;
But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, "Rise up, and stand in the middle." He arose and stood.
9 ൯ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് നിന്നു. യേശു അവരോട്: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ഒന്ന് ചോദിക്കട്ടെ: ശബ്ബത്തിൽ നന്മ ചെയ്കയോ തിന്മചെയ്കയോ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിയ്ക്കുകയോ നശിപ്പിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നത് നിയമാനുസൃതമോ? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to destroy it?"
10 ൧൦ അവരെ എല്ലാം ചുറ്റും നോക്കീട്ട് ആ മനുഷ്യനോടു: കൈ നീട്ടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു, അവന്റെ കൈ സുഖമായി.
He looked around at them all, and said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and his hand was restored.
But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.
12 ൧൨ മറ്റൊരു ദിവസം അവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുവാനായി ഒരു മലയിൽ ചെന്ന്. അവൻ ദൈവത്തോട് രാത്രി മുഴുവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.
It happened in these days, that he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.
13 ൧൩ രാവിലെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിച്ചു, അവരിൽ പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേരെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, അവർക്ക് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ എന്നും പേർവിളിച്ചു.
When it was day, he called his disciples, and from them he chose twelve, whom he also named apostles:
14 ൧൪ അവരുടെ പേരുകൾ: പത്രൊസ് എന്നു അവൻ പേർവിളിച്ച ശിമോൻ, അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ്, യാക്കോബ്, യോഹന്നാൻ, ഫിലിപ്പൊസ്, ബർത്തൊലൊമായി,
Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James and John; and Philip and Bartholomew;
and Matthew and Thomas; and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon, who was called the Zealot;
and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
17 ൧൭ അവൻ അവരോട് കൂടെ മലയിൽനിന്നു താഴെ ഇറങ്ങി സമഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടവും, യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ എല്ലായിടത്തുനിന്നും, യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നും സോർ, സീദോൻ എന്ന സമുദ്രതീരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും, അവന്റെ വചനം കേൾക്കുവാനും രോഗശാന്തി കിട്ടുവാനും വന്ന ബഹു പുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
He came down with them, and stood on a level place, with a large crowd of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon,
who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured.
19 ൧൯ അവനിൽ നിന്നു ശക്തി പുറപ്പെട്ടു എല്ലാവരെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകകൊണ്ട് പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും അവനെ തൊടുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.
All the crowd sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all.
20 ൨൦ അനന്തരം അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ നോക്കി പറഞ്ഞത്: ദരിദ്രന്മാരായ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ; ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളത്.
He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said, "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God.
21 ൨൧ ഇപ്പോൾ വിശക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ; നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തൃപ്തിവരും; ഇപ്പോൾ കരയുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ; നിങ്ങൾ ചിരിക്കും.
Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
22 ൨൨ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ നിമിത്തം മനുഷ്യർ നിങ്ങളെ ദ്വേഷിച്ച് കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറന്തള്ളുകയും നിന്ദിക്കുകയും നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടർ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് നിങ്ങളെ തള്ളുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.
Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake.
23 ൨൩ ആ നാളിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ വലിയത്; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ പ്രവാചകന്മാരോട് അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.
Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for look, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.
24 ൨൪ എന്നാൽ സമ്പന്നരായ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്വാസം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നേരത്തേ ലഭിച്ചുപോയല്ലോ.
"But woe to you who are rich. For you have received your consolation.
25 ൨൫ ഇപ്പോൾ തൃപ്തന്മാരായ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വിശക്കും. ഇപ്പോൾ ചിരിക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിച്ചു കരയും.
Woe to you, you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.
26 ൨൬ സകലമനുഷ്യരും നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തിപ്പറയുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ കള്ളപ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.
Woe when all people speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.
27 ൨൭ എന്നാൽ കേൾക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങളോടു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നത്: നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു ഗുണം ചെയ്‌വിൻ.
"But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.
29 ൨൯ നിന്നെ ഒരു കവിളിൽ അടിക്കുന്നവന് മറ്റേതും കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുക; നിന്റെ പുതപ്പ് എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവന് നിന്റെ ഉടുപ്പും എടുത്തുകളയുവാൻ അനുവദിക്കുക.
To the person who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from the person who takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt either.
30 ൩൦ നിന്നോട് ചോദിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവർക്കും കൊടുക്ക; നിനക്ക് അവകാശമുള്ള എന്തെങ്കിലും എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവനോട് മടക്കി ചോദിക്കരുത്.
Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
And as you would like people to do to you, you also do the same to them.
32 ൩൨ നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്ത് ലാഭം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും തങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 ൩൩ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവർക്ക് നന്മ ചെയ്താൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്ത് ലാഭം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 ൩൪ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തിരിച്ചു നൽകും എന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് കടം കൊടുത്താൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്ത് കിട്ടും? പാപികളും കുറയാതെ മടക്കിവാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന് പാപികൾക്ക് കടം കൊടുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.
35 ൩൫ നിങ്ങളോ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ; അവർക്ക് നന്മ ചെയ്‌വിൻ; ഒന്നും പകരം ആഗ്രഹിക്കാതെ കടം കൊടുക്കുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വളരെ പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ അത്യുന്നതന്റെ മക്കൾ ആകും; അവൻ നന്ദികെട്ടവരോടും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടും ദയ കാണിക്കുന്നു.
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.
37 ൩൭ ആരെയും വിധിക്കരുത്; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളും വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല; ആർക്കും ശിക്ഷ വിധിക്കരുത്; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും ശിക്ഷാവിധി ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; എല്ലാവരോടും ക്ഷമിക്കുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളോടും ക്ഷമിയ്ക്കും.
Do not judge, and you won't be judged. Do not condemn, and you won't be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
38 ൩൮ കൊടുക്കുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കിട്ടും; അമർത്തി കുലുക്കി നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്ന നല്ല അളവ് നിങ്ങളുടെ മടിയിൽ തരും; നിങ്ങൾ അളക്കുന്ന അതേ അളവിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും അളന്നുകിട്ടും.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you."
39 ൩൯ അവൻ ഒരുപമയും അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു: ഒരു കുരുടന് മറ്റൊരു കുരുടനെ വഴി കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുമോ? രണ്ടുപേരും കുഴിയിൽ വീഴും. ശിഷ്യൻ ഗുരുവിനേക്കാൾ വലിയവനല്ല,
He spoke a parable to them. "Can the blind guide the blind? Won't they both fall into a pit?
A disciple is not above the teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
41 ൪൧ എന്നാൽ നീ സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരട് കാണുകയും സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോൽ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്ത്?
And why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
42 ൪൨ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ, സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോൽ നോക്കാതെ: സഹോദരാ, നിൽക്ക; നിന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരട് എടുത്തുകളയട്ടെ എന്നു സഹോദരനോട് പറയുവാൻ നിനക്ക് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? കപടഭക്തിക്കാരാ, ആദ്യം സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോൽ എടുത്തുകളയുക; എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരട് എടുത്തുകളയുവാൻ വ്യക്തമായി കാണുമല്ലോ.
Or how can you tell your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite. First remove the log from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother's eye.
For there is no good tree that brings forth rotten fruit; nor again a rotten tree that brings forth good fruit.
44 ൪൪ ഏത് വൃക്ഷത്തെയും ഫലംകൊണ്ട് അറിയാം. ആർക്കും മുള്ളിൽനിന്ന് അത്തിപ്പഴം ശേഖരിക്കുവാനും ഞെരിഞ്ഞിലിൽ നിന്നു മുന്തിരിങ്ങ പറിക്കുവാനും സാധിക്കുകയില്ല.
For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.
45 ൪൫ നല്ലമനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽ നിന്നു നല്ലത് പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടൻ ദോഷമായതിൽ നിന്നു ദോഷം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു. ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നു നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതാണല്ലോ നാം സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്.
The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
46 ൪൬ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കർത്താവേ, കർത്താവേ എന്നു വിളിക്കുകയും ഞാൻ പറയുന്നത് അനുസരിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്ത്?
"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?
47 ൪൭ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ട് അനുസരിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം ആരോടാണ് തുല്യൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞുതരാം.
Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like.
48 ൪൮ ആഴത്തിൽക്കുഴിച്ച് പാറമേൽ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ട് വീട് പണിയുന്ന മനുഷ്യനോടു അവൻ തുല്യൻ. വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഉണ്ടായിട്ട് ഒഴുക്ക് വീടിനോട് അടിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ അത് നല്ലവണ്ണം പണിതിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ഇളകിപ്പോയില്ല.
He is like someone building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built.
49 ൪൯ എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ട് അനുസരിക്കാത്തവനോ അടിസ്ഥാനം കൂടാതെ മണ്ണിന്മേൽ വീട് പണിത മനുഷ്യനോടു തുല്യൻ. ഒഴുക്ക് അടിച്ച ഉടനെ അത് വീണു; ആ വീടിന്റെ വീഴ്ച പൂർണ്ണവുമായിരുന്നു.
But he who hears, and does not do, is like someone who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great."
