ലൂക്കോസ് 16
1 ൧ പിന്നെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: ധനവാനായൊരു മനുഷ്യന് ഒരു കാര്യവിചാരകൻഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അവന്റെ വസ്തുവക അനാവശ്യമായി ചെലവാക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചിലർ അവനെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞു.
And he spoke a parable to his disciples. There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and accusations were brought to him of him, that he squandered his property.
2 ൨ അവൻ അവനെ വിളിച്ചു: നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് ഈ കേൾക്കുന്നത് എന്താണ്? നീ നിന്റെ കാര്യവിചാരകത്തിന്റെ കണക്ക് ഏല്പിച്ചുതരിക; നീ ഇനി എന്റെ കാര്യവിചാരകൻ ആയിരിക്കണ്ട എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And his lord called him, and said to him: What is this that I hear of thee? Render to me an account of thy stewardship; for thou canst no longer be my steward.
3 ൩ അത് കേട്ടപ്പോൾ കാര്യവിചാരകൻ: ഞാൻ എന്ത് ചെയ്യും? യജമാനൻ എന്റെ ജോലിയിൽ നിന്നും എന്നെ നീക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്നു; കിളയ്ക്കുവാൻ ഉള്ള ശക്തി എനിക്കില്ല; മറ്റുള്ളവരോടു യാചിക്കുവാൻ ഞാൻ നാണിക്കുന്നു.
And the steward said with himself: What shall I do, since my lord is about to take from me the stewardship? To dig, I am unable; and to become a beggar, I am ashamed.
4 ൪ എന്നെ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് നീക്കിയാൽ, ആളുകൾ എന്നെ അവരുടെ വീടുകളിൽ സ്വീകരിക്കണം. അതിനുവേണ്ടി എന്ത് ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു എനിക്ക് അറിയാം എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു.
I know what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me to their houses.
5 ൫ പിന്നെ അവൻ യജമാനന്റെ കടക്കാരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തരെ വരുത്തി. ഒന്നാമത്തെ ആളിനോട് നീ യജമാനനോട് കടം വാങ്ങിയിട്ടുള്ളത് എന്താണ് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
And he called each one of his lord's debtors; and he said to the first, How much owest thou to my lord?
6 ൬ നൂറു കുടംഎണ്ണ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. കാര്യവിചാരകൻ അവനോട്: നിന്റെ കൈച്ചീട്ട് വാങ്ങി വേഗം അത് അമ്പത് എന്ന് എഴുതുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And he said to him, One hundred measures of oil. And he said to him: Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write Fifty measures.
7 ൭ അതിന്‍റെശേഷം മറ്റൊരു ആളിനോട്: നീ എന്താണ് കടം വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. നൂറു പറഗോതമ്പു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവനോട്: നിന്റെ കൈച്ചീട്ട് വാങ്ങി എൺപത് എന്നു എഴുതുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And he said to another: And how much owest thou to my lord? And he said to him, One hundred cors of wheat. And he said to him: Take thy bill, and sit down, and write Eighty cors.
8 ൮ ഈ അനീതിയുള്ള കാര്യവിചാരകൻ ബുദ്ധിയോടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് യജമാനൻ അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തി; വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ മക്കളേക്കാൾ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ തലമുറയിൽ ബുദ്ധിയേറിയവരാണ് (aiōn g165)
And our Lord praised the unrighteous steward, for having acted sagaciously: for the children of this world are more sagacious than the children of light, in this their generation. (aiōn g165)
9 ൯ അനീതിയുള്ള ധനംകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു യേശു അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു. അത് ഇല്ലാതെയാകുമ്പോൾ അവർ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിങ്ങളെ സ്വീകരിക്കും. (aiōnios g166)
And I also say to you: Make to yourselves friends, with this unrighteous mammon; so that when it is finished, they may receive you to their everlasting tabernacles. (aiōnios g166)
10 ൧൦ ചെറിയ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ വിശ്വസ്തനായവൻ വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും വിശ്വസ്തൻ ആയിരിക്കും; ചെറിയ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ നീതി കാണിക്കാത്തവർ വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും നീതി കാണിക്കാത്തവർ ആയിരിക്കും.
He that is faithful in the little, is also faithful in the much; and he that is unjust in the little, is also unjust in the much.
11 ൧൧ അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ, നീതി ഇല്ലാത്ത ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ ധനത്തിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ സത്യമായ ധനം നിങ്ങളെ ആരും ഏല്പിക്കുകയില്ല?
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will intrust to you the reality?
12 ൧൨ നിങ്ങളെ ഏൽപ്പിച്ച മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്വന്തമായത് ആരും ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുതരികയില്ല.
And if ye have not been found faithful in that which is not yours, who will give to you that which is yours?
13 ൧൩ രണ്ടു യജമാനന്മാരെ സേവിക്കുവാൻ ഒരു ദാസനും കഴിയുകയില്ല; അവൻ ഒരാളെ വെറുക്കുകയും മറ്റെ ആളിനെ സ്നേഹിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരാളോട് ആത്മാർത്ഥത കാണിക്കുകയും മറ്റെ ആളിനെ നിന്ദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ദൈവത്തെയും ധനത്തെയും സേവിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
There is no servant, who can serve two lords. For, either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will honor the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
And the Pharisees, when they heard all these things, because they loved money, derided him.
15 ൧൫ യേശു അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: നിങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുൻപിൽ സ്വയം നീതീകരിക്കുന്നവർ ആകുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നു; നല്ലതെന്ന് മനുഷ്യർ ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ ദൈവം വെറുക്കുന്നു
And Jesus said to them: Ye are such as justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your heart: for that which is exalted among men, is abominable before God.
16 ൧൬ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും കാലം യോഹന്നാൻ വരെ ആയിരുന്നു; അന്നുമുതൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ സുവിശേഷിച്ചുവരുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ കയറുവാൻ വേണ്ടി പരിശ്രമിക്കുന്നു.
The law and the prophets were until John: since then, the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and every one presseth it to enter in.
17 ൧൭ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ അക്ഷരം മാറുന്നതിനേക്കൾ എളുപ്പം ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നത് ആയിരിക്കും.
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one letter to pass from the law.
18 ൧൮ ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് മറ്റാരെയെങ്കിലും വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഭർത്താവ് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
Whoever putteth away his wife, and taketh another, committeth adultery; and whoever taketh her that is put away, committeth adultery.
19 ൧൯ ഒരിടത്ത് ധനവാനായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രവും പട്ടുംധരിച്ചു ദിനമ്പ്രതി ആഡംബരത്തോടെ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു.
And there was a certain rich man, who was clothed in fine linen and scarlet, and passed every day in splendid luxury.
20 ൨൦ ലാസർ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു ദരിദ്രൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ ശരീരം മുഴുവൻ വ്രണങ്ങൾനിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അവൻ ധനവാന്റെ പടിപ്പുരയ്ക്കൽ ആയിരുന്നു കിടന്നിരുന്നത്
And there was a certain poor man, whose name was Lazarus; and he was laid at the gate of the rich man, smitten with ulcers.
21 ൨൧ ധനവാന്റെ മേശയിൽ നിന്നു വീഴുന്നത് തിന്നു വിശപ്പടക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു; നായ്ക്കളും വന്നു അവന്റെ വ്രണം നക്കും.
And he desired to fill his belly with the fragments that fell from the rich man's table: and the dogs also came and licked his ulcers.
22 ൨൨ ആ ദരിദ്രൻ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ദൂതന്മാർ അവനെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മടിയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി. ധനവാനും മരിച്ചു അടക്കപ്പെട്ടു;
And so it was, that the poor man died; and angels transported him to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried.
23 ൨൩ പാതാളത്തിൽ കഷ്ടത അനുഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ മേലോട്ടു നോക്കി ദൂരത്ത് നിന്നു അബ്രാഹാമിനെയും അവന്റെ മടിയിൽ ലാസറിനെയും കണ്ട്: (Hadēs g86)
And being tormented in hell, he raised his eyes from afar off, and saw Abraham, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
24 ൨൪ അബ്രാഹാംപിതാവേ, എന്നോട് കനിവുണ്ടാകേണമേ; ലാസർ വിരലിന്റെ അറ്റം വെള്ളത്തിൽ മുക്കി എന്റെ നാവിനെ തണുപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവനെ അയയ്ക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ ഈ ജ്വാലയിൽ കിടന്ന് വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
And he called with a loud voice, and said: Abraham, my father, have pity on me; and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and moisten my tongue; for, lo, I am tormented in this flame.
25 ൨൫ അബ്രാഹാം: മകനേ, നിന്റെ ആയുസ്സിൽ നീ നന്മയും ലാസർ തിന്മയും പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നു ഓർക്ക; ഇപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഇവിടെ ആശ്വസിക്കുന്നു: നീയോ വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു.
And Abraham said to him: My son, remember, that thou receivedst thy good things in thy lifetime, and Lazarus his evil things: and now, behold he is here at rest, and thou art tormented.
26 ൨൬ അത്രയുമല്ല ഞങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും നടുവെ വലിയൊരു പിളർപ്പുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവിടെ നിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ കടന്നുവരുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് സാധിക്കുകയില്ല; അവിടെനിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ കടന്നു വരുവാനും സാധ്യമല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And with all these, there is a great barrier between us and you; so that they who would pass from here to you, cannot; neither can they pass from there to us
He said to him: I pray thee, therefore, my father, that thou wouldst send him to my father's house;
28 ൨൮ എനിക്ക് അഞ്ച് സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ട്; അവരും ഈ യാതനാസ്ഥലത്തു വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ അവരോട് സാക്ഷ്യം പറയട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
for I have five brothers; that he may go and protest to them; lest they also come to this place of torment.
29 ൨൯ അബ്രാഹാം അവനോട്: അവർക്ക് മോശെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവരുടെ വാക്ക് അവർ കേൾക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Abraham said to him: They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them.
30 ൩൦ അതിന് അവൻ: അങ്ങനെ അല്ല, അബ്രാഹാംപിതാവേ, മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് ഒരുവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് എങ്കിൽ അവർ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
But he said to him: No, my father Abraham: but if one shall go to them from the dead, they will repent.
31 ൩൧ അവൻ അവനോട്: അവർ മോശെയുടെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും വാക്ക് കേൾക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഒരുവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ചെന്നാലും വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Abraham said to him: If they hear not Moses and the prophets, they will not believe, though one should rise from the dead.
