എഫെസ്യർ 2

1 ൧ അതിക്രമങ്ങളും പാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങളെയും അവൻ ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചു.

and you, being dead in your offences and sins —

2 ൨ അവയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ കാലഗതിക്ക് തക്കവണ്ണവും വായു മണ്ഡലത്തിലെ അധികാരങ്ങൾക്കും, അനുസരണമില്ലാത്ത തലമുറകളിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ വ്യാപരിക്കുന്ന ആത്മാവിനും അധിപതിയായവനെയും അനുസരിച്ചുനടന്നു. (aiōn g165)

in which ye once walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience: (aiōn g165)

3 ൩ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നാം എല്ലാവരും മുമ്പെ നമ്മുടെ ജഡമോഹങ്ങളിൽ നടന്നു ജഡത്തിനും മനോവികാരങ്ങൾക്കും ഇഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു മറ്റുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ സ്വഭാവത്താൽ കോപത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആയിരുന്നു.

among whom we also all once had our conversation in the lusts of our flesh, doing what the flesh and the thoughts willed to do, and were children, by nature, of wrath, even as the rest:

4 ൪ കരുണാസമ്പന്നനായ ദൈവമോ നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ച മഹാസ്നേഹം നിമിത്തം

but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 ൫ അതിക്രമങ്ങളാൽ മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നമ്മെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കുകയും — കൃപയാലത്രേ നിങ്ങൾ രക്ഷിയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് —

(we too being dead in offences, ) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace, )

6 ൬ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ നമ്മെ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഇരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

and has raised [us] up together, and has made [us] sit down together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,

7 ൭ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ നമ്മോടുള്ള ദയയാൽ തന്റെ കൃപയുടെ അത്യന്തധനത്തെ വരും കാലങ്ങളിൽ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന് (aiōn g165)

that he might display in the coming ages the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn g165)

8 ൮ കൃപയാലല്ലോ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വാസംമൂലം രക്ഷിയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്; അതിനും നിങ്ങൾ കാരണക്കാരല്ല; അത് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനമത്രേയാകുന്നു.

For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God's gift:

9 ൯ ആരും പ്രശംസിക്കാതിരിക്കുവാൻ പ്രവൃത്തികളും കാരണമല്ല.

not on the principle of works, that no one might boast.

10 ൧൦ നാം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൈവേലയായി സൽപ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കായിട്ട് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു; നാം ചെയ്തുപോരേണ്ടതിന് ദൈവം അവ മുന്നൊരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has before prepared that we should walk in them.

11 ൧൧ അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ സ്വഭാവത്താൽ ജാതികളായിരുന്നു; ശരീരത്തിൽ കയ്യാലുള്ള പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റ പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാർ എന്നു പേരുള്ളവരാൽ ‘അഗ്രചർമക്കാർ’ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു;

Wherefore remember that ye, once nations in [the] flesh, who [are] called uncircumcision by that called circumcision in [the] flesh done with the hand;

12 ൧൨ അക്കാലത്ത് നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ കൂടാതെയുള്ളവരും യിസ്രായേൽ പൗരതയോടു ബന്ധമില്ലാത്തവരും വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങൾക്ക് അന്യരും പ്രത്യാശയില്ലാത്തവരും ലോകത്തിൽ ദൈവമില്ലാത്തവരും ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു ഓർത്തുകൊള്ളുവിൻ.

that ye were at that time without Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 ൧൩ മുമ്പെ ദൂരസ്ഥരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ, ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തത്താൽ സമീപസ്ഥരായിത്തീർന്നു.

but now in Christ Jesus ye who once were afar off are become nigh by the blood of the Christ.

14 ൧൪ അവൻ നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനം; അവൻ ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഒന്നാക്കി, ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളുമായ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്ന ശത്രുത്വം തന്റെ ജഡത്താൽ നീക്കി വേർപാടിന്റെ നടുച്ചുവർ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞത്,

For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of enclosure,

15 ൧൫ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും തന്നിൽ ഒരേ പുതുമനുഷ്യനാക്കി സൃഷ്ടിക്കുവാനും,

having annulled the enmity in his flesh, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might form the two in himself into one new man, making peace;

16 ൧൬ ക്രൂശിന്മേൽവച്ച് ശത്രുത്വം ഇല്ലാതാക്കി അതിനാൽ ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഏകശരീരത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തോടു നിരപ്പിക്കുവാനും തന്നെ.

and might reconcile both in one body to God by the cross, having by it slain the enmity;

17 ൧൭ അവൻ വന്നു ദൂരത്തും സമീപത്തുമുള്ളവർക്കു സമാധാനം സുവിശേഷിച്ചു.

and, coming, he has preached the glad tidings of peace to you who [were] afar off, and [the glad tidings of] peace to those [who were] nigh.

18 ൧൮ ക്രിസ്തുയേശു മുഖാന്തരം നമുക്കു ഇരുപക്ഷക്കാർക്കും ഏകാത്മാവിനാൽ പിതാവിങ്കലേക്ക് പ്രവേശനം സാധ്യമായി.

For through him we have both access by one Spirit to the Father.

19 ൧൯ ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി അന്യന്മാരും പരദേശികളുമല്ല വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഹപ‍ൗരന്മാരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭവനക്കാരുമത്രേ.

So then ye are no longer strangers and foreigners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God,

20 ൨൦ ക്രിസ്തുയേശു തന്നെ മൂലക്കല്ലായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും എന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേൽ പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the corner-stone,

21 ൨൧ അവനിൽ കെട്ടിടം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേർന്ന് കർത്താവിനുവേണ്ടി വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരമായി വളരുന്നു.

in whom all [the] building fitted together increases to a holy temple in the Lord;

22 ൨൨ അവനിൽ നിങ്ങളെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിവാസമാകേണ്ടതിന് ആത്മാവിനാൽ ഒന്നിച്ച് പണിതുവരുന്നു.

in whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God in [the] Spirit.
