1 ൧ സീയോനിൽ സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കുന്നവരും ശമര്യാപർവ്വതത്തിൽ നിർഭയരായിരിക്കുന്നവരും ജനതകളിൽ പ്രധാനികളായ ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരും, യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം സമീപിക്കുന്നവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം.

6 ൬ നിങ്ങൾ കലശങ്ങളിൽ വീഞ്ഞ് കുടിക്കുകയും വിശേഷതൈലം പൂശുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; യോസേഫിന്റെ കഷ്ടതയെക്കുറിച്ച് വ്യസനിക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.

12 ൧൨ കുതിര പാറമേൽ ഓടുമോ? അവിടെ കാളയെ പൂട്ടി ഉഴുമോ? എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ന്യായത്തെ വിഷമായും നീതിഫലത്തെ കാഞ്ഞിരമായും മാറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

13 ൧൩ ലോദേബാര്‍ പിടിച്ചടക്കിയതില്‍ നിങ്ങൾ സന്തോഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്: “സ്വന്തശക്തിയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ കര്‍ണ്ണയിം പിടിച്ചടക്കിയില്ലയോ” എന്ന് പറയുന്നു.
You who are so proud of capturing Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?”
14 ൧൪ “എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹമേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെനേരെ ഒരു ജനതയെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും; അവർ ഹമാത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനംമുതൽ അരാബയിലെ തോടുവരെ നിങ്ങളെ ഞെരുക്കും” എന്ന് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
