1 യോഹന്നാൻ 2
1 ൧ എന്റെ പ്രിയ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങൾ പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുവാൻ ഞാൻ ഇത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ആരെങ്കിലും പാപംചെയ്തു എങ്കിലോ, നീതിമാനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു എന്ന മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥൻ നമുക്ക് പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഉണ്ട്.
My little children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin: and if any one may sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one,
2 ൨ അവൻ നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം ആകുന്നു; നമ്മുടേതിന് മാത്രം അല്ല, സർവ്വലോകത്തിന്റെ പാപത്തിനും തന്നെ.
and he — he is a propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world,
and in this we know that we have known him, if his commands we may keep;
4 ൪ ‘ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തെ അറിയുന്നു’ എന്ന് പറയുകയും അവന്റെ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ നുണയൻ ആകുന്നു; സത്യം അവനിൽ ഇല്ല.
he who is saying, 'I have known him,' and his command is not keeping, a liar he is, and in him the truth is not;
5 ൫ എന്നാൽ ആരെങ്കിലും അവന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ സത്യമായി ദൈവസ്നേഹം അവനിൽ തികഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. നാം അവനിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ഇതിനാൽ നമുക്ക് അറിയാം.
and whoever may keep his word, truly in him the love of God hath been perfected; in this we know that in him we are.
He who is saying in him he doth remain, ought according as he walked also himself so to walk.
7 ൭ പ്രിയമുള്ളവരേ, പുതിയൊരു കല്പനയല്ല ആദിമുതൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള പഴയ കല്പനയത്രേ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതുന്നത്. ആ പഴയ കല്പന നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ട വചനം തന്നെ.
Brethren, a new command I write not to you, but an old command, that ye had from the beginning — the old command is the word that ye heard from the beginning;
8 ൮ ക്രിസ്തുവിലും നിങ്ങളിലും സത്യമായിരിക്കുന്ന പുതിയൊരു കല്പന ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതുന്നു എന്നും പറയാം; കാരണം, ഇരുട്ട് നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; സത്യവെളിച്ചം ഇപ്പോൾതന്നെ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു.
again, a new command I write to you, which thing is true in him and in you, because the darkness doth pass away, and the true light doth now shine;
9 ൯ വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് പറയുകയും സഹോദരനെ പകയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ഇന്നയോളം ഇരുട്ടിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
he who is saying, in the light he is, and his brother is hating, in the darkness he is till now;
he who is loving his brother, in the light he doth remain, and a stumbling-block in him there is not;
11 ൧൧ എന്നാൽ സഹോദരനെ വെറുക്കുന്നവനോ ഇരുട്ടിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഇരുട്ടിൽ നടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇരുട്ട് അവന്റെ കണ്ണ് കുരുടാക്കുകയാൽ എവിടേക്ക് പോകുന്നു എന്ന് അവൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല.
and he who is hating his brother, in the darkness he is, and in the darkness he doth walk, and he hath not known whither he doth go, because the darkness did blind his eyes.
12 ൧൨ പ്രിയ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, അവന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ മോചിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതുന്നു.
I write to you, little children, because the sins have been forgiven you through his name;
13 ൧൩ പിതാക്കന്മാരേ, ആദിമുതലുള്ളവനെ നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതുന്നു. യൗവനക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടനെ ജയിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതുന്നു. കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങൾ പിതാവിനെ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
I write to you, fathers, because ye have known him who [is] from the beginning; I write to you, young men, because ye have overcome the evil. I write to you, little youths, because ye have known the Father:
14 ൧൪ പിതാക്കന്മാരേ, ആദിമുതലുള്ളവനെ നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. യൗവനക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ശക്തരാകയാലും ദൈവവചനം നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുകയാലും നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടനെ ജയിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാലും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
I did write to you, fathers, because ye have known him who [is] from the beginning; I did write to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God in you doth remain, and ye have overcome the evil.
15 ൧൫ ലോകത്തെയോ ലോകത്തിലുള്ളതിനെയോ സ്നേഹിക്കരുത്. ആരെങ്കിലും ലോകത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവനിൽ പിതാവിന്റെ സ്നേഹം ഇല്ല.
Love not ye the world, nor the things in the world; if any one doth love the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
16 ൧൬ ജഡമോഹം, കണ്മോഹം, ജീവിതത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള നിഗളഭാവം ഇങ്ങനെ ലോകത്തിലുള്ളത് എല്ലാം പിതാവിന്റേതല്ല, എന്നാൽ ലോകത്തിന്റേതത്രെ ആകുന്നു.
because all that [is] in the world — the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life — is not of the Father, but of the world,
17 ൧൭ ലോകവും അതിന്റെ മോഹവും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ദൈവേഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവനോ എന്നേക്കും നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു. (aiōn g165)
and the world doth pass away, and the desire of it, and he who is doing the will of God, he doth remain — to the age. (aiōn g165)
18 ൧൮ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, ഇത് അന്ത്യകാലമാകുന്നു; എതിർക്രിസ്തു വരുന്നു എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ. ഇപ്പോൾ അനേകം എതിർക്രിസ്തുക്കൾ വന്നിരിക്കുകയാൽ അന്ത്യകാലമാകുന്നു എന്ന് നമുക്ക് അറിയാം.
Little youths, it is the last hour; and even as ye heard that the antichrist doth come, even now antichrists have become many — whence we know that it is the last hour;
19 ൧൯ അവർ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് പുറത്തുപോയി; എന്നാൽ അവർ നമുക്കുള്ളവർ അല്ലായിരുന്നു; അവർ നമുക്കുള്ളവർ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവർ നമ്മോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടാകുമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവർ പുറത്തുപോയതുകൊണ്ട് അവരാരും നമുക്കുള്ളവർ അല്ലെന്ന് കാണിക്കുന്നു.
out of us they went forth, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but — that they might be manifested that they are not all of us.
And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and have known all things;
21 ൨൧ നിങ്ങൾ സത്യം അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ടല്ല, നിങ്ങൾ അത് അറിയുകയാലും ഭോഷ്ക് ഒന്നും സത്യത്തിൽനിന്ന് വരായ്കയാലുമത്രേ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
I did not write to you because ye have not known the truth, but because ye have known it, and because no lie is of the truth.
22 ൨൨ യേശുവിനെ ക്രിസ്തുവല്ല എന്ന് നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവൻ അല്ലാതെ കള്ളൻ ആർ? പിതാവിനെയും പുത്രനെയും നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവൻ തന്നെ എതിർക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു.
Who is the liar, except he who is denying that Jesus is the Christ? this one is the antichrist who is denying the Father and the Son;
every one who is denying the Son, neither hath he the Father, [he who is confessing the Son hath the Father also.]
24 ൨൪ നിങ്ങൾ ആദിമുതൽ കേട്ടത് നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കട്ടെ. ആദിമുതൽ കേട്ടത് നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പുത്രനിലും പിതാവിലും വസിക്കും.
Ye, then, that which ye heard from the beginning, in you let it remain; if in you may remain that which from the beginning ye did hear, ye also in the Son and in the Father shall remain,
and this is the promise that He did promise us — the life the age-during. (aiōnios g166)
These things I did write to you concerning those leading you astray;
27 ൨൭ അവനിൽനിന്ന് സ്വീകരിച്ച അഭിഷേകം നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിക്കുവാൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല; എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ അഭിഷേകം തന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സകലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരികയാലും അത് ഭോഷ്കല്ല സത്യം തന്നെ ആയിരിക്കുകയാലും അത് നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനിൽ വസിക്കുവിൻ.
and you, the anointing that ye did receive from him, in you it doth remain, and ye have no need that any one may teach you, but as the same anointing doth teach you concerning all, and is true, and is not a lie, and even as was taught you, ye shall remain in him.
28 ൨൮ ഇപ്പോഴോ പ്രിയ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, അവൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകുമ്പോൾ നാം അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനും അവന്റെ വരവിൽ നമുക്ക് ധൈര്യം ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിനും അവനിൽ വസിക്കുവിൻ.
And now, little children, remain in him, that when he may be manifested, we may have boldness, and may not be ashamed before him, in his presence;
29 ൨൯ അവൻ നീതിമാൻ എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നീതി ചെയ്യുന്നവരെല്ലാം അവനിൽനിന്ന് ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.
if ye know that he is righteous, know ye that every one doing the righteousness, of him hath been begotten.
