ലൂക്കോസ് 20
1 ആ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ജനത്തോടു ഉപദേശിച്ചു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു:
On one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, the priests and scribes came to him with the elders.
2 നീ എന്തു അധികാരംകൊണ്ടു ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു? ഈ അധികാരം നിനക്കു തന്നതു ആർ? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”
3 അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി അവൻ: ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു വാക്കു ചോദിക്കും; അതു എന്നോടു പറവിൻ.
He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:
4 യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നോ മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്നോ ഉണ്ടായതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”
5 അവർ തമ്മിൽ നിരൂപിച്ചു: സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിക്കും.
They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’
6 മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാലോ ജനം ഒക്കെയും യോഹന്നാൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നമ്മെ കല്ലെറിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു:
But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”
7 എവിടെനിന്നോ? ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.
8 യേശു അവരോടു: എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്ന അധികാരം കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
9 അനന്തരം അവൻ ജനത്തോടു ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി കുടിയാന്മാരെ പാട്ടത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ടു ഏറിയ കാലം പരദേശത്തു പോയി പാൎത്തു.
He began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.
10 സമയമായപ്പോൾ കുടിയാന്മാരോടു തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവം വാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു ദാസനെ അയച്ചു; അവനെ കുടിയാന്മാർ തല്ലി വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him and sent him away empty.
11 അവൻ മറ്റൊരു ദാസനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവനെയും അവർ തല്ലി അപമാനിച്ചു വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
12 അവൻ മൂന്നാമതു ഒരുത്തനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവർ അവനെയും മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him and threw him out.
13 അപ്പോൾ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ: ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രനെ അയക്കും; പക്ഷേ അവർ അവനെ ശങ്കിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
The lord of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’
14 കുടിയാന്മാർ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഇവൻ അവകാശി; അവകാശം നമുക്കു ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം അവനെ കൊന്നുകളക എന്നു തമ്മിൽ ആലോചിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
“But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’
15 അവർ അവനെ തോട്ടത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ അവരോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യും?
Then they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?
16 അവൻ വന്നു ആ കുടിയാന്മാരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചു തോട്ടം അന്യന്മാൎക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും. അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവർ അങ്ങനെ ഒരുനാളും സംഭവിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When they heard that, they said, “May that never be!”
17 അവനോ അവരെ നോക്കി: “എന്നാൽ വീടുപണിയുന്നവർ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ലു മൂലക്കല്ലായിത്തീൎന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?
But he looked at them and said, “Then what is this that is written, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the chief cornerstone’?
18 ആ കല്ലിന്മേൽ വീഴുന്ന ഏവനും തകൎന്നുപോകും; അതു ആരുടെ മേൽ എങ്കിലും വീണാൽ അവനെ ധൂളിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whomever it falls on to dust.”
19 ഈ ഉപമ തങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു ആ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ അവന്റെ മേൽ കൈവെപ്പാൻ നോക്കി എങ്കിലും ജനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people—for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.
20 പിന്നെ അവർ അവനെ നാടുവാഴിയുടെ അധീനതയിലും അധികാരത്തിലും ഏല്പിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ വാക്കിൽ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തക്കം നോക്കി നീതിമാന്മാർ എന്നു നടിക്കുന്ന ഒറ്റുകാരെ അയച്ചു.
They watched him and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
21 അവർ അവനോടു: ഗുരോ, നീ നേർ പറഞ്ഞു ഉപദേശിക്കയും മുഖപക്ഷം നോക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി യഥാൎത്ഥമായി പഠിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.
They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.
22 നാം കൈസൎക്കു കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
23 അവരുടെ ഉപായം ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ അവരോടു: ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് കാണിപ്പിൻ;
But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test me?
24 അതിനുള്ള സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: കൈസരുടേതു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They answered, “Caesar’s.”
25 എന്നാൽ കൈസൎക്കുള്ളതു കൈസൎക്കും ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിൻ എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
26 അങ്ങനെ അവർ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചു അവനെ വാക്കിൽ പിടിപ്പാൻ കഴിയാതെ അവന്റെ ഉത്തരത്തിൽ ആശ്ചൎയ്യപ്പെട്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
They weren’t able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer and were silent.
27 പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യരിൽ ചിലർ അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചതു:
Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.
28 ഗുരോ, ഒരുത്തന്റെ സഹോദരൻ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിട്ടു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയാൽ അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അവന്റെ ഭാൎയ്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു സഹോദരന്നു സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
They asked him, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up children for his brother.
29 എന്നാൽ ഏഴു സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരിൽ ഒന്നാമത്തവൻ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.
There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.
30 രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
The second took her as wife, and he died childless.
31 അവ്വണ്ണം ഏഴുപേരും ചെയ്തു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.
The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.
32 ഒടുവിൽ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
Afterward the woman also died.
33 എന്നാൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൾ അവരിൽ ഏവന്നു ഭാൎയ്യയാകും? ഏഴുവൎക്കും ഭാൎയ്യയായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”
34 അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കയും വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. (aiōn g165)
Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
35 എങ്കിലും ആ ലോകത്തിന്നും മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിന്നും യോഗ്യരായവർ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കയുമില്ല വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല; അവൎക്കു ഇനി മരിപ്പാനും കഴികയില്ല. (aiōn g165)
But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
36 അവൻ പുനരുത്ഥാനപുത്രന്മാരാകയാൽ ദൈവദൂതതുല്യരും ദൈവ പുത്രന്മാരും ആകുന്നു.
For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.
37 മരിച്ചവർ ഉയിൎത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു എന്നതോ മോശെയും മുൾപ്പടൎപ്പുഭാഗത്തു കൎത്താവിനെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്നു പറയുന്നതിനാൽ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
38 ദൈവമോ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ; എല്ലാവരും അവന്നു ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”
39 അതിന്നു ചില ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ: ഗുരോ, നീ പറഞ്ഞതു ശരി എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”
40 പിന്നെ അവനോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാൻ അവർ തുനിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.
They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.
41 എന്നാൽ അവൻ അവരോടു: ക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
He said to them, “Why do they say that the Christ is David’s son?
42 “കൎത്താവു എന്റെ കൎത്താവിനോടു: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠമാക്കുവോളം എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തിരിക്ക എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു”
David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,
43 എന്നു സങ്കീൎത്തനപുസ്തകത്തിൽ ദാവീദ് തന്നേ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’
44 ദാവീദ് അവനെ കൎത്താവു എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
“David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?”
45 എന്നാൽ ജനം ഒക്കെയും കേൾക്കെ അവൻ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു:
In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,
46 നിലയങ്കികളോടെ നടപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കയും അങ്ങാടിയിൽ വന്ദനവും പള്ളിയിൽ മുഖ്യാസനവും അത്താഴത്തിൽ പ്രധാനസ്ഥലവും പ്രിയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രിമാരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.
“Beware of those scribes who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;
47 അവർ വിധവമാരുടെ വീടുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങുകയും ഉപായരൂപേണ ദീൎഘമായി പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവൎക്കു ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധിവരും.
who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
