സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 138

1 ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ പൂർണഹൃദയത്തോടെ അങ്ങയെ പുകഴ്ത്തും; “ദേവന്മാരുടെ” മുമ്പാകെ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പാടും.

I will praise you with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto you.

2 ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിനുനേരേ വണങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ട് അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹവും വിശ്വസ്തതയുംനിമിത്തം തിരുനാമത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തും, കാരണം അവിടത്തെ പ്രശസ്തിയും മറികടക്കുംവിധം അവിടത്തെ ഉത്തരവുകൾ ഉന്നതമാക്കിയല്ലോ.

I will worship toward your holy temple, and praise your name for your loving kindness and for your truth: for you have magnified your word above all your name.

3 ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവിടന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളി; അവിടന്ന് എനിക്ക് ശക്തി പകർന്ന് എന്നെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി.

In the day when I cried you answered me, and strengthened me with strength in my soul.

4 യഹോവേ, ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരും തിരുവായിൽനിന്നുള്ള ഉത്തരവുകൾ ശ്രവിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവിടത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തട്ടെ.

All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O LORD, when they hear the words of your mouth.

5 യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്ത്വം ഉന്നതമായിരിക്കുകയാൽ അവർ യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളെപ്പറ്റി പാടട്ടെ.

Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

6 യഹോവ മഹോന്നതൻ ആണെങ്കിലും അവിടന്ന് എളിയവരെ കടാക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അഹങ്കാരികളെ അവിടന്ന് ദൂരത്തുനിന്നുതന്നെ അറിയുന്നു.

Though the LORD be high, yet has he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knows far off.

7 കഷ്ടതകളുടെ നടുവിലാണ് എന്റെ ജീവിതമെങ്കിലും അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ ജീവൻ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ക്രോധത്തിനുനേരേ അവിടന്ന് തിരുക്കരം നീട്ടുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ വലതുകരം എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me: you shall stretch forth your hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and your right hand shall save me.

8 യഹോവ എന്നെ കുറ്റവിമുക്തനാക്കും; യഹോവേ, അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു— തിരുക്കരങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളയരുതേ.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me: your mercy, O LORD, endures for ever: forsake not the works of your own hands.
