ഇയ്യോബ് 19

1 അപ്പോൾ ഇയ്യോബ് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു:

Then Job answered and said,

2 “നിങ്ങൾ എത്രനാൾ എന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കുകയും വാക്കുകളാൽ എന്നെ തകർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും?

How long will ye vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.

3 ഇതാ, പത്തുപ്രാവശ്യം നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അപമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്യാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല.

Ye speak against me; ye do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.

4 ഞാൻ വാസ്തവമായി തെറ്റിപ്പോയിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, എന്റെ തെറ്റ് എന്നെമാത്രം ബാധിക്കുന്ന വിഷയമാണ്.

Yea verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right [to speak]; and my words err, and are unreasonable.

5 നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠരാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുകയും എന്റെ നിസ്സഹായാവസ്ഥ എനിക്കെതിരേയുള്ള തെളിവായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ,

But alas! for ye magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.

6 ദൈവം എന്നോടു ദോഷം പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് അവിടത്തെ വലയിൽ എന്നെ കുടുക്കി എന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾക.

Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled [me], and has raised his bulwark against me.

7 “‘അതിക്രമം!’ എന്നു ഞാൻ കരയുന്നു, എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരം ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല; സഹായത്തിനായി ഞാൻ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു, എനിക്കു നീതി ലഭിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: [or] I will cry out, but [there is] nowhere judgment.

8 എനിക്കു സഞ്ചരിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തവിധം അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ വഴി അടച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വഴിയിൽ അവിടന്ന് അന്ധകാരം വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.

9 അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ ബഹുമതി പറിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ തലയിൽനിന്ന് കിരീടവും നീക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.

10 എല്ലാവശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ തകർക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഇതാ തകർന്നടിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഒരു വൃക്ഷത്തെയെന്നവണ്ണം അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശ പിഴുതുനീക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

He has torn me around about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.

11 എനിക്കെതിരേ അവിടന്നു തന്റെ കോപാഗ്നി ജ്വലിപ്പിച്ചു; എന്നെ അവിടത്തെ ശത്രുഗണത്തിൽ എണ്ണുന്നു.

And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.

12 അവിടത്തെ സൈന്യങ്ങൾ എനിക്കെതിരേ അണിനിരക്കുന്നു; അവർ എനിക്കെതിരേ ഉപരോധത്തിന്റെ ചരിഞ്ഞ പാത തീർക്കുന്നു എന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിനുചുറ്റും അവർ താവളമടിക്കുന്നു.

His troops also came upon me with one accord, liars in wait compassed my ways.

13 “അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ സഹോദരങ്ങളെ എന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പരിചയക്കാർ പൂർണമായും എന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകന്നുമാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognized strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.

14 എന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കൾ എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറി; എന്റെ ഉറ്റ സ്നേഹിതർ എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.

15 എന്റെ അതിഥികളും എന്റെ ദാസിമാരും എന്നെ ഒരു വിദേശിയെപ്പോലെ എണ്ണുന്നു; അവർ എന്നെ ഒരു അപരിചിതനെപ്പോലെ വീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

[As for] my household, and my maid-servants, I was a stranger before them.

16 എന്റെ ദാസനെ ഞാൻ വിളിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ അവൻ പ്രതികരിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ വായ് തുറന്ന് അവനോടു ഞാൻ കെഞ്ചേണ്ടതായിവരുന്നു.

I called my servant, and he hearkened not; and my mouth intreated [him].

17 എന്റെ ഉച്ഛ്വാസം എന്റെ ഭാര്യക്ക് അരോചകമാണ്; എന്റെ സഹോദരങ്ങൾക്കു ഞാൻ അറപ്പായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

And I besought my wife, and earnestly intreated the sons of my concubines.

18 കൊച്ചുകുട്ടികൾപോലും എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേൽക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ എന്നെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.

But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.

19 എന്റെ ആത്മസ്നേഹിതരെല്ലാംതന്നെ എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ സ്നേഹിച്ചവർ എനിക്കെതിരേ തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.

20 ഞാൻ വെറും എല്ലുംതോലും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ തലനാരിഴയ്ക്കാണ് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.

My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in [my] teeth.

21 “എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതരേ, എന്നോടു കരുണകാട്ടണേ, എന്നോടു കരുണകാട്ടണേ; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെമേൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.

22 ദൈവമെന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളും എന്നെ വേട്ടയാടുന്നത് എന്തിന്? എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടാത്തതെന്തുകൊണ്ട്?

Wherefore do ye persecute me as also the Lord [does], and are not satisfied with my flesh?

23 “ഹാ! എന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ ഒന്ന് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ! അയ്യോ! അവ ഒരു പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളിൽ എഴുതിവെച്ചെങ്കിൽ!

For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book forever,

24 ഒരു ഇരുമ്പാണികൊണ്ടോ ഈയക്കമ്പികൊണ്ടോ അവ ഒരു പാറയിൽ എന്നേക്കുമായി കൊത്തിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ!

with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!

25 എന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരൻ ജീവിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് എനിക്കറിയാം, ഒടുവിൽ അവിടന്നു പൊടിമേൽ നിൽക്കുമെന്നും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,

26 എന്റെ ത്വക്ക് ഇങ്ങനെ അഴുകിപ്പോയശേഷവും ഞാൻ ദേഹസഹിതനായി ദൈവത്തെ കാണും;

[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;

27 ഞാൻതന്നെ അവിടത്തെ കാണും; മറ്റൊരുവനല്ല, എന്റെ സ്വന്തം കണ്ണുതന്നെ അവിടത്തെ കാണും. എന്റെ ഹൃദയം അതിനായി ആർത്തിയോടിരിക്കുന്നു.

which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in [my] bosom.

28 “‘അവനെ നമുക്ക് എങ്ങനെ വേട്ടയാടാൻ കഴിയും? അഥവാ, അവനെതിരേ എന്തു കുറ്റം ആരോപിക്കാൻ നമുക്കു കഴിയും?’

But if ye shall also say, What shall we say before him, and [so] find the root of the matter in him?

29 വാളിനെ ഭയപ്പെടുക, ക്രോധം വാളിന്റെ ശിക്ഷയെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തുന്നു. ഒരു ന്യായവിധി ഉണ്ടെന്ന് അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാൻ ഇടയാകും.”

Do ye also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.
