1 Fihirana fiakarana.
A song of degrees. Lord, remember Dauid with all his affliction.
2 Dia ilay nianiana tamin’ i Jehovah Sy nivoady tamin’ ny Maherin’ i Jakoba hoe:
Who sware vnto the Lord, and vowed vnto the mightie God of Iaakob, saying,
3 Tsy mba hiditra ao an-daiko aho, Na hiakatra amin’ ny farafara fandriako,
I will not enter into the tabernacle of mine house, nor come vpon my pallet or bed,
4 Tsy mba havelako hatory ny masoko, Na ho rendrehana ny hodimasoko,
Nor suffer mine eyes to sleepe, nor mine eye lids to slumber,
5 Mandra-pahitako fitoerana ho an’ i Jehovah. Dia fonenana ho an’ ny Maherin’ i Jakoba.
Vntill I finde out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mightie God of Iaakob.
6 Indro, nandre azy tany Efrata isika; Nahita azy tao amin’ ny saha anaty ala isika.
Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah, and found it in the fieldes of the forest.
7 Aoka hiditra any amin’ ny fonenany isika Ka hivavaka eo amin’ ny fitoeran-tongony.
We will enter into his Tabernacles, and worship before his footestoole.
8 Mitsangàna, Jehovah ô, ho amin’ ny fitsaharanao, Dia Hianao sy ny fiaran’ ny herinao.
Arise, O Lord, to come into thy rest, thou, and the Arke of thy strength.
9 Aoka ny mpisoronao hirafy fahamarinana Ary aoka ny olonao masìna hihoby.
Let thy Priests be clothed with righteousnesse, and let thy Saints reioyce.
10 Noho ny amin’ i Davida mpanomponao Dia aza mampiala maina ny tavan’ ny voahosotrao.
For thy seruant Dauids sake refuse not the face of thine Anointed.
11 Jehovah efa nianiana tamin’ i Davida, Ary marina izany ka tsy hitsoahany Ny ateraky ny kibonao no hapetrako eo ambonin’ ny seza fiandriananao.
The Lord hath sworne in trueth vnto Dauid, and he wil not shrinke from it, saying, Of the fruite of thy body will I set vpon thy throne.
12 Raha hotandreman’ ny zanakao ny fanekeko Sy ny teny vavolombeloko izay hampianariko azy, Dia hipetraka eo ambonin’ ny seza fiandriananao mandrakizay doria kosa ny zanany.
If thy sonnes keepe my couenant, and my testimonies, that I shall teach them, their sonnes also shall sit vpon thy throne for euer.
13 Fa Jehovah efa nifidy an’ i Ziona. Ary naniry azy ho fonenany.
For the Lord hath chosen Zion, and loued to dwell in it, saying,
14 Ity, hoy Izy, no fitsaharako mandrakizay doria; Eto no honenako, fa efa niriko ity.
This is my rest for euer: here will I dwell, for I haue a delite therein.
15 Hotahiko tokoa ny fihinana ao; Hovokisako hanina ny malahelo ao.
I will surely blesse her vitailes, and will satisfie her poore with bread,
16 Ny mpisorona ao dia hampitafiko famonjena; Ary hihoby tokoa ny olo-masìna ao.
And will clothe her Priests with saluation, and her Saints shall shoute for ioye.
17 Ao no hampitsimohako tandroka ho an’ i Davida Sy hanamboarako jiro ho an’ ny voahosotro.
There will I make the horne of Dauid to bud: for I haue ordeined a light for mine Anoynted.
18 Ny fahavalony hampitafiko henatra; Fa eo aminy kosa no hamirapiratra ny satro-boninahiny.
His enemies will I clothe with shame, but on him his crowne shall florish.
