1 Mpanjaka 9
1 Ary rehefa vitan’ i Solomona ny nanaovany ny tranon’ i Jehovah sy ny lapan’ ny mpanjaka araka izay rehetra efa niriny hatao,
And it came to pass, when Solomon had made an end of building the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and everything that Solomon desired, which he was pleased to make,
2 dia niseho tamin’ i Solomona indray Jehovah tahaka ilay nisehoany taminy tao Gibeona.
then appeared Yahweh unto Solomon, a second time, —as he appeared unto him, in Gibeon.
3 Ary hoy Jehovah taminy: Efa reko ny vavakao sy ny fifonanao izay nataonao teo anatrehako; koa efa nohamasiniko ity trano nataonao ity mba hampitoerana ny anarako mandrakizay: ary ho amin’ ity mandrakariva ny masoko sy ny foko.
And Yahweh said unto him—I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, wherewith thou hast made supplication before me, I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my Name there unto times age-abiding, —and mine eyes and my heart shall be there, continually:
4 Ary raha ianao handeha eo anatrehako tahaka ny nandehanan’ i Davida rainao tamin’ ny fahitsian’ ny fo sy ny fahamarinana ka hanao araka izay rehetra nandidiako anao ary hitandrina ny didiko sy ny fitsipiko,
As for thee, therefore, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, with a whole heart and with uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, —and, my statutes and my regulations, wilt keep,
5 dia hampitoeriko mandrakizay amin’ ny Isiraely ny seza fiandrianan’ ny fanjakanao, araka ilay nolazaiko tamin’ i Davida rainao hoe: Tsy ho diso zanakalahy amin’ ny seza fiandrianan’ ny Isiraely ianao.
then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom over Israel, unto times age-abiding, —as I promised unto David thy father, saying, There shall not be cut off to thee a man, from off the throne of Israel.
6 Fa raha miala amin’ ny fanarahana Ahy kosa ianareo na ny zanakareo ka tsy mitandrina ny lalàko sy ny didiko, izay nataoko teo anoloanareo, fa mandeha manompo andriamani-kafa sy miankohoka eo anatrehany,
If ye, turn back, ye or your sons, from following me, and keep not my commandments, my statutes, which I have set before you, —but depart and serve other gods, and bow yourselves down to them,
7 dia hofongorako tsy ho amin’ ny tany izay nomeko azy ny Isiraely; ary ity trano izay nohamasiniko ho an’ ny anarako ity dia hofongorako tsy ho eo imasoko; ary ny Isiraely ho tonga ohabolana sy ambentinteny any amin’ ny firenena rehetra;
then will I cut off Israel, from the face of the soil, which I have given unto them, and, the house which I have hallowed for my Name, will I suffer to be carried away from before me, —and Israel shall become a byword and a mockery, among all the peoples;
8 ary na dia avo aza ity trano ity, dia mbola hitalanjonan’ izay rehetra mandalo izy sady hisitrisirany ka hanaovany hoe: Naninona re no dia nataon’ i Jehovah toy izao ity tany sy ity trano ity?
and, this house which had been renowned, shall be desolate, every one that passeth by it, shall be astonished and shall whistle, —and men shall say—For what cause, hath Yahweh done, thus, unto this land, and unto this house?
9 Ary hisy hamaly hoe: Satria ny olona nahafoy an’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny, Izay nitondra ny razany nivoaka avy tany amin’ ny tany Egypta, ary nikikitra tamin’ andriamani-kafa sy niankohoka teo anatrehany ka nanompo azy, dia izany no nampidiran’ i Jehovah izao loza rehetra izao taminy.
And men will answer—Because they forsook Yahweh their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold of other gods, and bowed themselves down to them, and served them, for this cause, hath Yahweh brought in upon them all this ruin.
10 Ary nony afaka ny roa-polo taona nanaovan’ i Solomona ny trano roa, dia ny tranon’ i Jehovah sy ny lapan’ ny mpanjaka
And it came to pass, at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, —the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king;
11 (Hirama, mpanjakan’ i Tyro, nanome an’ i Solomona hazo sedera sy hazo kypreso ary volamena, araka izay rehetra niriny), dia nomen’ i Solomona tanàna roa-polo tany amin’ ny tany Galilia kosa Hirama.
Hiram king of Tyre having supplied Solomon with timber of cedar, and with timber of fir, and with gold, according to all his desire, that, then, King Solomon gave unto Hiram twenty cities, in the land of Galilee.
12 Ary Hirama niala tany Tyro hizaha ny tanàna izay nomen’ i Solomona azy, ka tsy tiany ireny.
And Hiram came out from Tyre to view the cities which, Solomon, had given him, —and they were not pleasing in his eyes.
13 Dia hoy izy: Hatao inona ireo tanàna nomenao ahy ireo, ry rahalahiko? Ary ireny dia natao hoe tany Kobola mandraka androany.
So he said—What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them, Unfruitful Land, [as they are called] unto this day.
14 Ary Hirama nampanatitra talenta volamena roa-polo amby zato ho an’ ny mpanjaka.
Now Hiram had sent to the king, —a hundred and twenty talents of gold.
15 Ary izao no toetry ny fanompoana nampanaovin’ i Solomona mpanjaka ny olona, tamin’ ny nanaovany ny tranon’ i Jehovah sy ny lapan’ andriana ary Milo sy ny màndan’ i Jerosalema, sy Hazora sy Megido ary Gazera
Now, the following, is an account of the tax which King Solomon raised, for building the house of Yahweh and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, —and Hazor and Megiddo, and Gezer.
16 (fa Farao, mpanjakan’ i Egypta, efa niakatra, dia nahafaka an’ i Gazera ka nandoro azy tamin’ ny afo; ary ny Kananita izay nitoetra tao an-tanàna dia novonoiny, ary ny tanàna dia nomeny ho haren-jazavavy ho an’ ny zananivavy, vadin’ i Solomona),
Pharaoh king of Egypt, had gone up and captured Gezer, and burned it with fire, the Canaanites also who were dwelling in the city, had he slain, —and had given it as a dowry, to his daughter, wife of Solomon.
17 ary, Solomona nanamboatra an’ i Gazera sy Beti-horona ambany
So then Solomon built Gezer, and Beth-horon, the nether,
18 sy Baleta sy Tadmora any an-efitra, amin’ ny tany Samata,
and Baalath and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land;
19 ary ny tanàna fitehirizana rehetra izay nananan’ i Solomona sy ny tanàna fitoeran’ ny kalesy sy ny tanàna fitoeran’ ny mpitaingin-tsoavaly sy izay tian’ i Solomona haorina tany Jerosalema sy tany Libanona ary tany amin’ ny tany nanjakany rehetra.
also all the store cities, which Solomon had, and the cities for chariots, and the cities for horsemen, —and the desire of Solomon that he was pleased to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land that he ruled over.
20 Ary ny olona sisa rehetra tamin’ ny Amorita sy ny Hetita sy ny Perizita sy ny Hivita ary ny Jebosita, izay tsy isan’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely,
All the people that were left, of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were, not of the sons of Israel;
21 dia ny taranany izay sisa nandimby azy teo amin’ ny tany, izay tsy azon’ ny Isiraely naringana avokoa, no nampanaovin’ i Solomona fanompoana mandraka androany.
their sons, who were left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel were not able to devote to destruction, Solomon levied them for a toiling labour-band [which remaineth] unto this day.
22 Fa ny Zanak’ Isiraely dia tsy mba nampanaovin’ i Solomona izany; fa izy kosa no miaramila sy mpanompony sy komandy sy mpanafika malaza sy komandin’ ny kalesiny sy ny mpitaingin-tsoavaliny.
But, of the sons of Israel, Solomon devoted none to bond-service, —but, they, were men of war, and his servants, and his generals, and his heroes, and captains of his chariots, and his horsemen.
23 Izao no isan’ ny mpifehy ny olona voatendry izay nitandrina ny asan’ i Solomona: dimam-polo amby dimam-jato lahy no mpifehy ny mpiasa.
These, were the chiefs of the officers, who were over the work, for Solomon, five hundred and fifty, —who ruled over the people that wrought in the work.
24 Ary rehefa niakatra avy any an-Tanànan’ i Davida ny zanakavavin’ i Farao hankany amin’ ny tranony izay nataon’ i Solomona ho azy, dia nanao an’ i Milo koa izy.
Scarcely had Pharaoh’s daughter come up out of the city of David, into her own house, which he had built for her, when he built Millo.
25 Ary intelo isan-taona no nanateran’ i Solomona fanatitra dorana sy fanati-pihavanana teo ambonin’ ny alitara izay naoriny ho an’ i Jehovah, sady nandoro ditin-kazo manitra teo ambonin’ ny alitara teo anatrehan’ i Jehovah izy. Ka toy izany no nahavitany ny trano.
And Solomon used to offer, three times a year, ascending-sacrifices and peace-offerings, upon the altar which he had built unto Yahweh, and to offer incense at the altar which was before Yahweh, —thus Solomon gave completeness unto the house.
26 Ary Solomona mpanjaka nanao sambo tao Ezion-gebera, izay ao anilan’ i Elota, ao amoron’ ny Ranomasina Mena, amin’ ny tany Edoma.
A fleet also, did King Solomon build in Ezion-geber, which is beside Eloth on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
27 Ary Hirama nampandeha ny vahoakany tamin’ ny sambo, dia matilô izay nahay ranomasina, hiaraka amin’ ny vahoakan’ i Solomona.
And Hiram sent in the fleet his servants, seamen, having knowledge of the sea, —with the servants of Solomon;
28 Ary nankany Ofira ireo, dia naka talenta volamena roa-polo amby efa-jato, ka nentiny tany amin’ i Solomona mpanjaka izany.
and they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence, gold, four hundred and twenty talents, —and brought it to King Solomon.
