< Lukka 15 >

1 Awo abasolooza b’omusolo n’abakozi b’ebibi ne bakuŋŋaanira eri Yesu okumuwuliriza.
Then drew near to him all the publicans and sinners to hear him.
2 Naye Abafalisaayo n’abannyonnyozi b’amateeka ne beemulugunya nga bagamba nti Yesu akolagana n’abantu abalina ebibi, n’okulya n’alya nabo.
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 Yesu n’alyoka abagerera olugero luno ng’agamba nti,
And he spoke this parable to them, saying,
4 “Singa omu ku mmwe abadde alina endiga kikumi, naye emu n’emubulako, taleka ziri ekyenda mu omwenda ku ttale n’agenda anoonya eri ebuze okutuusa Lw’agiraba?
What man of you having a hundred sheep, if he loseth one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he findeth it?
5 Bw’agiraba, agisitula ku bibegabega bye n’agitwala eka ng’ajaguza.
And when he hath found [it], he layeth [it] on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 Bw’atuuka eka ayita mikwano gye ne baliraanwa be bajje ng’agamba nti, ‘Munsanyukireko kubanga endiga yange eyabadde ebuze, erabise.’
And when he cometh home, he calleth together [his] friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 Mu ngeri y’emu, mbagamba nti mu ggulu eribaayo essanyu lingi nnyo olw’omwonoonyi omu eyeenenyezza okusinga ekyenda mu omwenda abatuukirivu abateetaaga kwenenya.”
I say to you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance.
8 “Oba mukazi ki alina ennoso ze kkumi, emu n’emubulako, atakoleeza ttaala n’anoonya mu buli kasonda konna ak’ennyumba, n’ayera n’ebuziizi yenna okutuusa lw’agiraba?
Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she loseth one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she findeth [it]?
9 Bw’agiraba, ayita mikwano gye ne baliraanwa be n’abagamba nti, ‘Munsanyukireko, ennoso yange eyabadde ebuze ngirabye.’
And when she hath found [it], she calleth [her] friends and [her] neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Mbategeeza nti mu ngeri y’emu omukozi w’ebibi omu bwe yeenenya, bamalayika ba Katonda bajjula essanyu.”
Likewise, I say to you, There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
11 Awo Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Waaliwo omusajja eyalina batabani be babiri.
And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 Omuto n’agamba kitaawe nti, ‘Kitange, nkusaba ompe omugabo gwange ku bintu byo ogunsaanidde.’ Kitaawe n’abagabanyiza ebintu byabwe.
And the younger of them said to [his] father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth [to me]. And he divided to them [his] living.
13 “Waayitawo ennaku ntono, omwana omuto n’asibako ebintu bye byonna ne yeetambulira, n’agenda mu nsi ey’ewala. Bwe yatuuka eyo n’asaasaanya ebintu bye ne yeemalira mu binyumu.
And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 Mu kiseera ekyo we yamalirawo ebintu bye byonna, n’enjala nnyingi we yagwira mu nsi omwo mwe yali, n’asiibanga era n’asulanga enjala.
And when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 N’agenda abeere ew’omwami omu ow’omu nsi omwo n’amusaba amuwe omulimu, n’amusindika gye yalundiranga embizzi azirabirirenga.
And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 Omulenzi ne yeegombanga okulyanga ebikuta by’embizzi, naye ne watabaawo amuwa kantu konna.
And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat; and no man gave to him.
17 “Naye bwe yeddamu n’agamba nti, ‘Eka ewaffe, abasajja abapakasi aba kitange bafuna emmere nnyingi ne balya ne balemwa, naye nze ndi wano nfiira wano enjala!
And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger!
18 Nnaagenda eri kitange, mugambe nti, Kitange, nnyonoonye eri eggulu ne mu maaso go,
I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 era sikyasaanira na kuyitibwa mwana wo. Nfunira omulimu mbeere ng’abapakasi bo.’
And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 Bw’atyo n’asitula n’addayo ewa kitaawe. “Naye bwe yali ng’akyaliko wala n’awaka, kitaawe n’amulengera ng’ajja, n’amusaasira nnyo. Kitaawe ng’ajjudde amaziga n’amusisinkana, n’amugwa mu kifuba n’amunywegera.
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 Omwana n’agamba kitaawe nti, ‘Kitange, nnyonoonye eri eggulu ne mu maaso go. Sikyasaanira kuyitibwa mwana wo.’
And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 “Naye kitaawe n’alagira abaddu be nti, ‘Mwanguwe mangu! Muleete ekkanzu esinga obulungi mugimwambaze. Mumunaanike empeta ku ngalo ye, mumwambaze n’engatto!
But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put [it] on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on [his] feet:
23 Era mugende mutte ennyana eya ssava. Tufumbe embaga nnene tujaguze.
And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill [it]; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 Kubanga mutabani wange ono yali afudde kaakano mulamu, yali azaaye laba wuuno azaawuse.’ Embaga n’etandika.
For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 “Mu kiseera ekyo omwana omukulu yali ali mu nnimiro. Awo bwe yali akomawo eka ng’asemberedde ennyumba, n’awulira ennyimba ez’amazina.
Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 N’ayita omu ku baweereza n’amubuuza bwe bibadde.
And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 Omuweereza n’amutegeeza nti, ‘Muganda wo akomyewo, era kitammwe amuttidde ennyana eya ssava olwokubanga muganda wo akomyewo nga mulamu bulungi.’
And he said to him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him in health.
28 “Muganda we omukulu n’anyiiga, n’okuyingira n’atayingira mu nnyumba. Naye kitaawe n’ajja n’amwegayirira ayingire,
And he was angry, and would not go in; therefore his father came out, and entreated him.
29 naye omwana n’amuddamu nti, ‘Emyaka gino gyonna nkukoledde, era tewali mulundi na gumu Lwe wali ondagidde ne nkujeemera. Naye tompangayo wadde akabuzi akato neesanyuseeko ne mikwano gyange.
And he answering, said to [his] father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither have I at any time transgressed thy commandment; and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 Naye kale mutabani wo olukomyewo ng’ebintu byo bye wamuwa amaze okubimalira mu bamalaaya, n’omuttira ennyana ensava.’
But as soon as this thy son had come, who hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31 “Kitaawe n’amuddamu nti, ‘Laba mwana wange, tuli ffenna bulijjo, era byonna bye nnina bibyo.
And he said to him, Son, thou art ever with me: and all that I have is thine.
32 Kaakano kituufu okusanyuka n’okujaguza. Kubanga muganda wo, yali afudde, kaakano mulamu! Yali azaaye, wuuno azaawuse!’”
It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
