< Luka 7 >

Now when he had ended all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick, and ready to die.
And when he heard of Jesus, he sent to him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
4 Tango bakomaki epai ya Yesu, babondelaki Ye makasi; balobaki: — Tata wana abongi penza ete osalela ye likambo oyo asengi epai na Yo,
And when they came to Jesus, they besought him earnestly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
Therefore neither thought I myself worthy to come to thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
For I also am a man placed under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say to one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned himself about, and said to the people that followed him, I say to you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10 Tango bato oyo mokonzi ya basoda atindaki bazongaki na ndako, bakutaki mosali yango nzoto kolongono.
And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well that had been sick.
And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and many people.
Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and many people of the city were with her.
13 Tango kaka Nkolo amonaki mwasi yango, ayokelaki ye mawa mingi mpe alobaki na ye: — Kolela te!
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, Weep not.
14 Apusanaki mpe asimbaki tsipoyi oyo bazalaki komema na yango mwana oyo akufaki, mpe bato oyo bazalaki komema yango batelemaki. Yesu alobaki: — Elenge mobali, nalobi na yo, lamuka!
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bore him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say to thee, Arise.
15 Moto oyo akufaki avandaki mpe abandaki koloba; mpe Yesu azongisaki ye epai ya mama na ye.
And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet hath risen among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the surrounding region.
And the disciples of John reported to him of all these things.
19 mpe atindaki bango epai ya Nkolo Yesu mpo na kotuna: — Boni, ozali penza Ye oyo asengelaki koya to tosengeli kozela mosusu?
And John calling two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
20 Tango bakomaki epai ya Yesu, balobaki na Ye: — Yoane Mobatisi atindi biso epai na Yo mpo ete totuna: « Boni, ozali penza Ye oyo asengelaki koya to tosengeli kozela mosusu? »
When the men had come to him, they said, John the Baptist hath sent us to thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and afflictions, and of evil spirits; and to many that were blind he gave sight.
22 Boye, Yesu azongiselaki bayekoli oyo Yoane atindaki: — Bokende koyebisa Yoane makambo oyo bomoni mpe oyo boyoki: bakufi miso bazali komona, bakufi matoyi bazali koyoka, ba-ebosono bazali kotambola, bato na maba bazali kopetolama, bakufi bazali kosekwa, mpe Sango Malamu ezali kosakolama epai ya babola.
Then Jesus answering said to them, Go, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; that the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
And blessed is he, who shall not be offended because of me.
And when the messengers of John had departed, he began to speak to the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
25 Soki te, bokendeki penza kotala nini? Moto moko alata bilamba ya kitoko? Te!
But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they who are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.
26 Kasi nani bino bokendeki penza kotala? Mosakoli? Iyo, nazali koloba na bino, mpe aleki kutu ata mosakoli.
But what went ye out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.
27 Yoane azali moto oyo Makomi ezali koloba boye na tina na ye: « Nakotinda ntoma na Ngai liboso na Yo, oyo akobongisela Yo nzela. »
This is he, concerning whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
For I say to you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
29 Bato nyonso elongo na bafutisi mpako oyo bayokaki maloba na Yesu bandimaki ete nzela ya Nzambe ezali sembo, pamba te Yoane abatisaki bango
And all the people that heard him, and the tax collectors, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized by him.
31 Boye Yesu alobaki: — Na nani penza nakokokanisa bato ya ekeke oyo? Bakokani penza na banani?
And the Lord said, To what then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
They are like children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped to you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a demon.
The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!
35 Kasi bato nyonso oyo bayambaka Bwanya ya Nzambe batalisaka ete ezali sembo.
But wisdom is justified by all her children.
And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat.
And, behold, a woman in the city, who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus was eating in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Tango Mofarizeo oyo abengisaki Yesu amonaki bongo, amilobelaki: — Soki moto oyo azali mosakoli, alingaki koyeba soki mwasi oyo azali kosimba Ye azali nani, mpe soki azali mwasi ya lolenge nini: moto ya masumu.
Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
Mofarizeo azongisaki: — Moteyi, loba yango.
And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have somewhat to say to thee. And he saith, Master, say it.
41 Yesu alobaki: — Moto moko adefisaki bato mibale mbongo. Moto ya liboso asengelaki kozongisa mbongo ya bibende nkama mitano, mpe oyo ya mibale, mbongo ya bibende tuku mitano.
There was a certain creditor who had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simona azongisaki: — Nakanisi ete ezali moto oyo balimbisi niongo ya mbongo oyo eleki ebele. Yesu alobaki na ye: — Okati malamu!
Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said to him, Thou hast rightly judged.
And he turned to the woman, and said to Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thy house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
Kasi moto oyo balimbisaki niongo moke azali kotalisa bolingo moke.
Therefore I say to thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 Bongo Yesu alobaki na mwasi: — Masumu na yo elimbisami.
And he said to her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 Bato mosusu oyo babengamaki elongo na Ye bakomaki koloba, bango na bango: — Moto oyo azali penza nani, oyo akomi ata kolimbisa masumu?
And they that were eating with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 Kasi Yesu alobaki na mwasi yango: — Kondima na yo ebikisi yo; kende na kimia!
And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
