< Psalmorum 65 >

1 in finem psalmus David canticum; Hieremiae et Aggei de verbo peregrinationis quando incipiebant proficisci te decet hymnus Deus in Sion et tibi reddetur votum in Hierusalem
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. A song. Praise waits for you, God, in Zion. Vows shall be performed to you.
2 exaudi orationem ad te omnis caro veniet
You who hear prayer, all men will come to you.
3 verba iniquorum praevaluerunt super nos et impietatibus nostris tu propitiaberis
Sins overwhelmed me, but you atoned for our transgressions.
4 beatus quem elegisti et adsumpsisti inhabitabit in atriis tuis replebimur in bonis domus tuae sanctum est templum tuum
Blessed is the one whom you choose and cause to come near, that he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.
5 mirabile in aequitate exaudi nos Deus salutaris noster spes omnium finium terrae et in mari longe
By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea.
6 praeparans montes in virtute tua accinctus potentia
By your power, you form the mountains, having armed yourself with strength.
7 qui conturbas profundum maris sonum fluctuum eius turbabuntur gentes
You still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.
8 et timebunt qui inhabitant terminos a signis tuis exitus matutini et vespere delectabis
They also who dwell in faraway places are afraid at your wonders. You call the morning’s dawn and the evening with songs of joy.
9 visitasti terram et inebriasti eam multiplicasti locupletare eam flumen Dei repletum est aquis parasti cibum illorum quoniam ita est praeparatio eius
You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.
10 rivos eius inebria multiplica genimina eius in stillicidiis eius laetabitur germinans
You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop.
11 benedices coronae anni benignitatis tuae et campi tui replebuntur ubertate
You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance.
12 pinguescent speciosa deserti et exultatione colles accingentur
The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness.
13 induti sunt arietes ovium et valles abundabunt frumento clamabunt etenim hymnum dicent
The pastures are covered with flocks. The valleys also are clothed with grain. They shout for joy! They also sing.
