Psalmorum 92

1 Psalmus Cantici, In die Sabbati. Bonum est confiteri Domino: et psallere nomini tuo Altissime.

A Psalm of a Song for the Sabbath-day. It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to your name, O you Most High;

2 Ad annunciandum mane misericordiam tuam: et veritatem tuam per noctem.

to proclaim your mercy in the morning, and your truth by night,

3 In decachordo, psalterio: cum cantico, in cithara.

on a lute of ten strings, with a song on the harp.

4 Quia delectasti me Domine in factura tua: et in operibus manuum tuarum exultabo.

For you, O Lord, have made me glad with your work: and in the operations of your hands will I exult.

5 Quam magnificata sunt opera tua Domine! nimis profundæ factæ sunt cogitationes tuæ:

How have your works been magnified, O Lord! your thoughts are very deep.

6 Vir insipiens non cognoscet: et stultus non intelliget hæc.

A foolish man will not know, and a senseless man will not understand this.

7 Cum exorti fuerint peccatores sicut fœnum: et apparuerint omnes, qui operantur iniquitatem: Ut intereant in sæculum sæculi:

When the sinners spring up as the grass, and all the workers of iniquity have watched; [it is] that they may be utterly destroyed for ever.

8 tu autem Altissimus in æternum Domine.

But you, O Lord, are most high for ever.

9 Quoniam ecce inimici tui Domine, quoniam ecce inimici tui peribunt: et dispergentur omnes, qui operantur iniquitatem.

For, behold, your enemies shall perish; and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

10 Et exaltabitur sicut unicornis cornu meum: et senectus mea in misericordia uberi.

But my horn shall be exalted [as the horn] of a unicorn; and mine old age with rich mercy.

11 Et despexit oculus meus inimicos meos: et in insurgentibus in me malignantibus audiet auris mea.

And mine eye has seen mine enemies, and mine ear shall hear the wicked that rise up against me.

12 Iustus ut palma florebit: sicut cedrus Libani multiplicabitur.

The righteous shall flourish as a palm tree: he shall be increased as the cedar in Libanus.

13 Plantati in domo Domini, in atriis domus Dei nostri florebunt.

They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 Adhuc multiplicabuntur in senecta uberi: et bene patientes erunt,

Then shall they be increased in a fine old age; and they shall be prosperous; that they may declare

15 ut annuncient: Quoniam rectus Dominus Deus noster: et non est iniquitas in eo.

that the Lord my God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.
