< Luka 22 >

1 Mukiti we inkoko isena mulungo chiuba kwina ha fwihi, uba ku sumpwa Impaseka.
And the feast of the unleavened bread, which is called a Passover, was drawing near.
2 Baprista ni Bañoli baba bi ni mulelo wa kwi haya Jesu, kono baba tiyi chichaba.
And the High-priests and the Scribes were seeking, how they might get rid of him; for they feared the people.
3 Satani abe njili kwa Judas Isikaliote yabli zumwi wa balutiwa bena ikumi ni bo bele.
But Satan entered into Judas, him called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve;
4 Judas aba yendi ku Baprista ni Baeteleli ku wambola mwete ba mu betekele ku bali.
and, departing, he conversed with the High-priests and Captains, as to how, unto them, he might deliver him up.
5 Baba tabite, ni ku zuminzana ku muha mali.
And they rejoiced, and bargained with him to give him, silver;
6 Aba zuminzani, ni ku lola inzila yo kumu lukulwila ku chichaba.
and he freely consented, and began seeking a good opportunity for delivering him up, in the absence of a multitude, unto them.
7 Izuba lya mukiti u sena mulungo chi lya sika, li baba ku swanela kuti ingu ye Paseka i haiwe.
Now the day of the unleavened bread a came, —on which it was needful to be sacrificing the passover.
8 Jesu aba tumi Peter ni Joani kuti baka lukise i paseka kuti balye,
And he sent forth Peter and John, saying—Go, and make ready, for us, the passover, that we may eat.
9 Chiba mubuza kuti, Ko saka kuti tuka lukise njo kuhi?
And, they, said unto him—Where wiliest thou, we should make ready?
10 Aba be tabi, “Mu ni teke, Chi mwa ke njila mu munzi mumu shangane Mukwame yo hindite kahambwe ka menzi. Mumwi chilile mwi nzubo yete ake njile.
And, he, said unto them—Lo! when ye have entered into the city, there will meet you a man, bearing, an earthen-jar of water: follow him into the house into which he is entering.
11 Imi mu mu wambile si nzubo kuti, Muluti u wamba kwenu, Inzubo mwete a lile i paseka ni ba Lutwana bakwe inahi?”
And ye shall say unto the master of the house—The teacher saith unto thee, where is the lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?
12 Mwa mi tondeze inzubo ina kwi wulu inkando i lukiswe. Mulukise mwa teni.
And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper room, spread: there, make ready.
13 Mi chi ba yenda, ni ku wana mwa ba ba teli, imi chiba lukisa ipaseka.
And, departing, they found according as he had said unto them, and made ready the passover.
14 Inako ha i sika, che kala he ntafule ni ba lutwana.
And, when the hour arrived, he reclined, and the apostles with him.
15 Imi cha ba cho kuti, ni lakaza hahulu ku lya i paseka nenwe hani seni ku zuwiswa kuchisa.
And he said unto them—I have greatly desired, to eat, this passover, with you before I suffer;
16 Linu ni wamba kwenu, kuti kani li i paseka hesi chiye zibiswa mu mubuso wa Mulimu.
For, I say unto you—In nowise shall I eat it, until it have been fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 Jesu cha hinda i nkomoki, ha manaku litumela, ni ku cho kuti muhinde ichi muli abele.
And, accepting a cup, giving thanks, he said—Take this, and divide among yourselves;
18 linu chati ku bali, kete ni nwe i waine hape hesi mubuso wa Ireeza chi weza.
For, I say unto you—In nowise shall I drink henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until, the kingdom of God, shall come.
19 Cwale cha hinda chinkwa, ha mana ku litumela, cha chi komauna, ni ku baha ni ku cho kuti,” uwu nji mubili wangu mu lye nje nkupuzo yangu.”
And, taking a loaf, he gave thanks, and brake, and gave unto them, saying—This is my body which in your behalf is being given: this, be ye doing, in remembrance, of me.
20 Cha hinda i nkomoki che nzila i swana haba mana kulalila, chati, iyi inkomoki chilikani chetu ka malaha, angu ete e tikilwe nwe.
And—the cup, in like manner, after the taking of supper, saying—This cup, is the new covenant in my blood, which, in your behalf, is to be poured out.
21 Kono mu teke. Yoni beteka wina neme he ntafule.
Nevertheless, lo! the hand of him who is delivering me up, is with me upon the table.
22 Mukuti Mwana we Ireeza che ziba kuti mukwi kalile, cwale kwina bumai kuya ba bi ni mulelo wo wa ku beteka.
Because, the Son of Man, indeed, according to what is marked out, goeth his way; nevertheless, alas! for that man through whom he is being delivered up.
23 Imi chiba tanga ku libuza mukati kabo, kuti njeni wina muhupulo uwo.
And, they, began to be enquiring together, among themselves, as to which, then, it could be, from among them, who, this thing, was about to perpetrate!
24 Imi chi kwa buka i nkani mukati kabo kuti yo hupulelwa kuba mukando njeni,
And it came to pass that there was, a rivalry also, among them, as to which of them seemed to be greater [than the rest].
25 Chacho ku bali, Ba simwine bena bubusi hewulu lyabo, mi nji bena ziho hewulu lyabo ba sumpwa kuti bayendisi.
And, he, said unto them—The kings of the nations, lord it over them, and, they who wield authority over them, benefactors, are called.
26 kanji ku bi bulyo nenwe. Kono, mu leke yo li hinda bukando mukati kenu abe munini, mi mu leke yo lihinda ku sepahala abe bulyo;
But, ye, not so! On the contrary—the greater among you, Let him become as, the younger, and, he that governeth, as, he that ministereth,
27 Imi mukando, ibe iye wi kala he ntafule, kapa yo ha? Kanji wi kele he ntafule? Mukuti ime ni na mukati kenu ni ha.
For which is greater—he that reclineth? or he that ministereth? Is not he that reclineth? But, I, am, in your midst, as he that ministereth,
28 Kono njenwe mu be ntanzi mu miliko yangu.
Ye, however, are they who have remained throughout with me in my temptations;
29 Imi muni mihe Mubuso, sina mwa ba ni heli Tayo mubuso, kuti mulye ni ku nwa he ntafule yangu mu Mubuso wangu.
And, I, covenant unto you—as my Father hath covenanted unto me—a kingdom,
30 Imi ka mwi kale ha chipula cha bu simwine ni ku atula luzubo lwa Isilaele.
That ye may eat and drink, at my table, in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging, the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 Simon, Simon, bone, Satani uni kumbila kuti ami helule sina lungu lwa mauza.
Simon! Simon! lo! Satan, hath claimed you, to sift as wheat;
32 Kono chi na mi lapelela kuti itumelo yenu kanji i boleli hansi. Hachi mwa bola mukole ni mwachako.
But, I, have entreated for thee, that thy faith may not fail. And, thou, once thou hast turned, strengthen thy brethren.
33 Pitrosi cha wamba kwali, “Simwine, ni li bakenye ku yenda newe mwi ntolongo kapa ku fwa.”
But, he, said unto him—Lord! with thee, am I, ready, both into prison and unto death, to be going.
34 Jesu che taba kuti, Pitrosi koni sampule ko tatwe pili mukombwe ni useni ku lila.”
And, he, said: I tell thee, Peter—A cock will not crow this day, until, thrice, thou deny that thou knowest me.
35 Jesu aba wambi ku bali, “Hani mi tuma ni mu sena chipaupau, ni mukotana usena zilyo, ni sangu, mu ba buli nzi?” Chi be taba, “Kakwina.”
And he said unto them—When I sent you forth, without purse or satchel or sandals, of anything, came ye short? And, they, said—Of nothing!
36 Cwale cha wamba kubali kuti, Kono hanu, wina chipaupau ni mukotana we zilyo a zi hinde. Umwi ya sena mukwale, a uze ingubo yakwe a wule mukwale.
And he said unto them—But, now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, in like manner also, a satchel; and, he that hath nothing, let him sell his mantle, and buy a sword!
37 Chini wamba kwenu niti, chi ñoletwe ku amana neme kachi zuzilizwe, Mi a balelwe kuba sinyi! Mukuti zakwe chi za tendahala.
For I say unto you—This that is written, must needs be completed in me, —And, with lawless ones, was he reckoned; for, even that which concerneth me, hath, completion.
38 Chiba wamba, “Simwine, lole, milinga yobele” Imi che taba, “Ku shiyeme.”
And, they, said—Lord, lo! two swords, here! And, he, said unto them—’Tis, enough!
39 Hamana mulalilo, Jesu cha yenda, mwa yendelanga, kwi lundu lya zi samu za Olive, mi balutwana bakwe chiba mwi chilila.
And going out, he went, according to his custom, unto the Mount of Olives; and the disciples [also] followed him.
40 Haba ka sika, chati ku bali, “mu lapele mukuti kanji mwi njili mu miliko.”
And, coming up to the place, he said unto them—Be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.
41 Cha chunduluka ku bali chibaka chi likana ni ku zindwa kwe ibwe cha kubama ni ku lapela,
And, he, was torn from them about a stone’s throw; and, bending his knees, he began to pray,
42 Nati, “Tayo, haiba mo sakile u zwise i nkomoki kwangu. Kanji uchiti muni sakila, ku chitwe mo sakila.
saying—Father! if thou please, bear aside this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be accomplished.
43 Imi ingeloi lizwa kwi wulu chilye za kwali, ku mu koza,
And there appeared unto him a messenger from heaven, strengthening him, —
44 Cwale ha ba bile mubukabo cha lapela ahulu, mane chitukutuku chi a donka ubu malaha a wila hansi.
and, coming to be in an agony, more intensely, was he praying; and his perspiration became, as if great drops of blood, falling upon the ground.
45 Ha mana ku lapela cheza ku Balutwana bakwe cha ba wana kuti balele cha maswabi abo, cha ba buza kuti, “Chinzi ha mu lele? Mu buke mu lapele, kuti kanji mubi mu mu liko.”
And, arising from prayer, he came unto his disciples, and found them falling asleep by reason of their grief;
and he said unto them—Why are ye slumbering? Arise! and be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.
47 Haba ku si wamba, chi kweza chikwata, ni Judas, umwi wa balutwana yo ba hitile, cheza hafwihi ni Jesu cha mu chuchuna,
While yet he was speaking, lo! a multitude; and, he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them on, —and he drew near unto Jesus, to kiss him.
48 imi Jesu cha wamba kwali, “Judas, chiwa beteka mwana'muntu cha kumu chuchuna.”
But, Jesus, said to him—Judas! with a kiss, the Son of Man, dost thou deliver up?
49 Abo ba ba zimbukite Jesu haba bona zi ba ku pangahala, chi bati, “Simwine, tulwe ka mukwale?”
And they who were about him, seeing what would be, said—Lord! shall we smite with the sword?
50 Cwale zumwi ca hinda mukwale ni ku konokola muhikana wo Muprisita mukulwana, ku mu konokola kutwi kwe chilyo.
And a certain one from among them smote, the High-priest’s, servant, and took off his right ear.
51 Jesu chati, “ku shiyeme.” Cha wonda kutwi, ni ku mu hoza.
But Jesus, answering, said—Let be—as long as this! …And, touching the ear, he healed him.
52 Jesu cha wambila baprisita ba kulwana, ni manduna ni balibeleli be nkeleke, ni bakulwana be chisi ba ba kezi kwa kwe, mwiza kwangu che mikwale ne nkoli ubu mu bwima musa?
And Jesus said unto the High-priests, and Captains of the temple, and Elders, who had come against him—As against a robber, have ye come out, with swords and clubs?
53 Hani bena nenwe mazuba wonse mwi nkeleke, kana muba biki iyanza lyenu hangu. Kono nje nako inu yenu ni ziho ze chinzime.
Daily, was I with you, in the temple, and yet ye stretched not forth your hands against me! …But, this, is your hour, and the authority of darkness.
54 Imi chi ba muwonda, kumu twala ku nzubo yo Muprisita mukulwana. Linu Pitrosi aba mwi chilile kule zana.
And, having arrested him, they led him away, and took him into the house of the High-priest; and, Peter, was following afar.
55 Haba mana ku tumbuza mulilo ha kati ke lapa chi be kala hamwina, ni Pitrosi che kala nabo.
And, they having kindled up a fire in the midst of the court, and taken seats together, Peter was for sitting among them.
56 Muhikana zumwi wa ba kazana cha mu bona ha mulilo, niku mu lolisa chati, “Naye uzu imwakwe wa Jesu.”
But, a certain maid-servant, seeing him seating himself towards the light, and looking steadfastly at him, said—This one also, was, with him.
57 Linu Pitrosi cha kanana, chati, “Mukazana, Kani mwizi uzo.”
But, he, denied, saying—I know him not, woman!
58 Ha ku hita kaba kazana zumwi cha mubona, chati, “Uzumwi wa bo.” Imi Pitrosi chati, “Mukwame, ka njime.”
And, after a little, another, beholding him, said—Thou also, art, from among them. But, Peter, said—Man! I am not.
59 Ha ku hita i hola zumwi Mukwame cha pihelela kuti,” Initi uzu mukwame a bena naye wuzu, Mugalileya,”
And, about one hour having passed, a certain other, began stoutly to insist, saying—Of a truth, this one also, was with him; for indeed he is, a Galilaean.
60 Imi Pitrosi chati, “Mukwame, kani zi izo zo wamba.” Na chi wamba, Mukombwe chiwa lila.
But Peter said—Man! I know not what thou art saying! And, instantly while yet he was speaking, a cock crew.
61 Jesu cha chebuka niku lola Pitrosi. Imi Pitrosi cha hupula manzwi a Simwine, ha wamba kwali kuti, Pili mukombwe nu seni ku lila totatwe ko be choni sampwile.”
And the Lord turned, and looked at Peter; and Peter was put in mind of the declaration of the Lord, how he had said to him—Before, a cock, crow this day, thou wilt deny me thrice!
62 Pitrosi cha zwila hanze, ku ka lila.
[And, going forth outside, he wept bitterly.]
63 Bakwame baba ku gantela Jesu baba kumu shenda ni kumu kaba.
And, the men who held him bound, kept mocking him, with blows;
64 Haba mana ku mu sumina isila ku menso, chiba mu buza, kuti,” U nuhe wa ku kaba kuti njeni?”
and, blindfolding him, questioned him, saying—Prophesy! which is he that smote thee?
65 Chi bawamba ziwambo zingi kwa Jesu.
and, many other things, with profane speech, were they saying unto him.
66 Hali zwa izuba, bakulwana, ni ba kulwana ba Prisita ni bañoli chi ba kopana hamwina ku mu twala kwi nkuta,
And, when it became day, the Eldership of the people was gathered together—both High-priests and Scribes, —and they led him away into their high-council, saying—If, thou, art the Christ, tell us!
67 Chibati, 'haiba njewe Kelesite, “tu wambile, “Kono cha ba wambila kuti, “chi na mi wambila, kete muni zumine.”
But he said unto them—If I should tell, you, in nowise would ye believe,
68 Mi niha ni mi buza, kete muni tabe.
And, if I should put questions, in nowise would ye answer;
69 Kuzwa sunu, Mwana wa Muntu mwe kale kwi yanza lya bulyo ka ziho ze Ireeeza.”
But, henceforth, shall the Son of Man be seated on the right hand of the power of God.
70 Bonse Chibati, “Linu u Mwana we Ireeeza?” Imi Jesu cha cho kuti, “Mwa wamba njeme”
And they all said—Thou, then, art the Son of God? And, he, unto them said—Ye, say [it], —because, I, am.
71 Chi bati “Chinzi hatu saka buniti? Mu kuti twa zuwa buniti buzwa mu kaholo kakwe.”
And, they, said—What, further, need have we, of witness? We ourselves, have heard it from his mouth.
