1 Ma sel Paul, mwet kulansap lun Christ Jesus, ac sie mwet sap su God El sulela ac pangon in fahkak Pweng Wo lal.
From Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, who has been called to become an apostle, and has been set apart to tell God’s good news.
2 Pweng Wo se inge God El tuh wulela kac in kas lun mwet palu lal in pacl loeloes somla, oana ke simla in Ma Simusla Mutal.
This good news God promised long ago through his prophets in the sacred scriptures,
3 Pweng se inge ma ke Wen natul, Leum lasr Jesus Christ. Ke el moul in mwet, el isusla sie sin fwilin tulik natul David,
concerning his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord; who, as to his human nature, was descended from David,
4 ac ke el moul in luman God, akkalemyeyuk ke ku lulap lah el Wen nutin God ke akmoulyeyukyak el liki misa.
but, as to the spirit of holiness within him, was miraculously designated Son of God by his resurrection from the dead.
5 God El ase lungkulang se inge tuh nga in sie mwet sap inen Christ, ac tuh nga in pwanma mutanfahl nukewa nu ke moul in lulalfongi ac akos.
Through him we received the gift of the apostolic office, to win submission to the faith among all nations for the glory of his name.
6 Na kowos su muta in acn Rome, kowos wi pac oaoala yurin mwet inge, mweyen God El pangon kowos tuh kowos in mwet lun Jesus Christ.
And among these nations are you – you who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7 Ke ma inge nga sim nu suwos nukewa in acn Rome. God El lungse kowos ac El pangon kowos tuh kowos in mwet lal: Lela God Papa tumasr ac Leum Jesus Christ in asot lungkulang ac misla nu suwos.
To all in Rome who are dear to God and have been called to become Christ’s people, may God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
8 Ma se meet, nga kulo nu sin God luk keiwos nukewa inen Jesus Christ, mweyen mwet faclu nufon elos lohng ke lulalfongi lowos.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because the report of your faith is spreading throughout the world.
9 God El mwet loh luk lah ma nga fahk uh pwayena — God se su nga orekma nu se ke insiuk nufon ke nga luti Pweng Wo ke Wen natul. God El etu lah nga esam kowos
God, to whom I offer the worship of my soul as I tell the goodness of his Son, is my witness how constantly I mention you when I pray,
10 pacl nukewa ke nga pre. Nga siyuk tuh, fin ou lungse lun God, El fah oru tuh nga in ku in fahsrot nu yuruwos ke pacl na sa.
asking that, if he be willing, I may some day at last find the way open to visit you.
11 Mweyen nga kena liye kowos, tuh nga in akkeye kowos ke mwe akinsewowo lun ngun.
For I long to see you, in order to impart to you some spiritual gift and so give you fresh strength –
12 Kalmen ma nga fahk uh pa kut kewa fah akasrui — lulalfongi lowos ac kasreyu, ac lulalfongi luk ac fah kasrekowos.
or rather that both you and I may find encouragement in each other’s faith.
13 Mwet wiuk in lulalfongi, nga ke kowos in etu lah pacl puspis nga akoo in fahsrot nu yuruwos, tusruktu pacl nukewa oasr na ma se ikolyu ngan tia orala. Nga kena tuh nga in ku in kifasla kutu inmasrlowos, oapana ke nga oru inmasrlon mwet in mutunfacl saya.
I want you to know, my friends, that I have many times intended coming to see you – but until now I have been prevented – that I might find among you some fruit of my labours, as I have already among the other nations.
14 Nga enenu na in kasru mwet nukewa: mwet ma muta in kalem oayapa mwet srakna muta in lohsr; nu sin mwet etauk, ac nu sin mwet nikin.
I have a duty to both the Greek and the barbarian, to both the cultured and the ignorant.
15 Pa oru nga arulana ke fahkak Pweng Wo nu suwos pac su muta Rome.
And so, for my part, I am ready to tell the good news to you also who are in Rome.
16 Arulana yohk yukinyen Wosasu sik; tuh pa inge inkanek in molela na ku lun God nu selos nukewa su lulalfongi — nu sin mwet Jew meet, ac oayapa nu sin mwet sayen mwet Jew.
For I am not ashamed of the good news; it is the power of God which brings salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, but also to the Greek.
17 Tuh Wosasu uh akkalemye ma God El oru in aksuwosyela mwet uh ye mutal: pa ke lulalfongi mukena, mutawauk nu ke safla. Oana Ma Simusla uh fahk, “El su aksuwosyeyuk ye mutun God ke lulalfongi fah moul.”
For in it there is a revelation of the divine righteousness resulting from faith and leading on to faith; as scripture says – “Through faith the righteous will find life.”
18 Kasrkusrak lun God akkalemyeyuk inkusrao me, lain ma koluk ac ma sufal nukewa lun mwet, mweyen ouiya koluk lalos lohsrala ma pwaye in tia eteyuk.
So, too, there is a revelation from heaven of the divine wrath against every form of ungodliness and wickedness on the part of those people who, by their wicked lives, are stifling the truth.
19 God El kaelos, mweyen ma mwet uh ku in etu ke God kalem na selos, mweyen God sifacna El oru in kalem selos.
This is so, because what can be known about God is plain to them; for God himself has made it plain.
20 Finne tia ku in liyeyuk ku lun God su kawil ac elah mutal lal, a oe ke mutaweyen orekla faclu God El akkalemye ma inge ke ma El orala. Ouinge elos tia ku in oru kutena kas in taltal ke ma koluk lalos. (aïdios g126)
For ever since the creation of the universe God’s invisible attributes – his everlasting power and divinity – are to be seen and studied in his works, so that people have no excuse; (aïdios g126)
21 Elos etu God, tusruktu elos tia akfulatyal oana ma fal elos in oru, ac elos tia pac sang kulo nu sel. A nunak lalos wangin sripa, ac lalfon, ac lohsrlana.
because, although they learned to know God, yet they did not offer him as God either praise or thanksgiving. Their speculations about him proved futile, and their undiscerning minds were darkened.
22 Elos fahk mu elos lalmwetmet, tusruktu elos lalfon.
Professing to be wise, they showed themselves fools;
23 Elos tia alu nu sin God su moul ma pahtpat, a elos alu nu sin ma lumweyukla nu ke luman mwet, ku won, ku kosro, ku ma orakrak.
and they transformed the glory of the immortal God into the likeness of mortal humans, and of birds, and beasts, and reptiles.
24 Ke sripen ouiya fohkfok lalos, God El lela elos in oru na lungse lalos, ac nunak fohkfok lalos kololos in oru mwe mwekin yurin sie sin sie.
Therefore God abandoned them to impurity, letting them follow the cravings of their hearts, until they dishonoured their own bodies;
25 Elos forla liki ma pwaye ke God nu ke ma kikiap. Elos alu ac kulansupu ma God El orala, ac tia alu nu sel su orala ma uh, su fal in kaksakinyuk nwe tok! Amen. (aiōn g165)
for they had substituted a lie for the truth about God, and had reverenced and worshiped created things more than the Creator, who is to be praised for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Ke sripen elos oru ma inge, God El fuhlelosla nu ke lung lun ikwa su mwe akmwekin yoklana. Finne mutan uh, wanginla kena lalos nu ke mukul, a elos oru ma na sufal inmasrlolos sifacna.
That, I say, is why God abandoned them to degrading passions. Even the women among them perverted the natural use of their bodies to the unnatural;
27 In lumah sacna, mukul uh oayapa wanginla kena lalos nu ke mutan, ac arulana upa nunak in kosro lalos yurin mukul nu sin mukul. Elos oru mwe akmwekin yurin sie sin sie, ouinge elos sifacna eis in elos kaiyuk ma fal nu selos ke sripen orekma koluk lalos.
while the men, disregarding that for which women were intended by nature, were consumed with passion for one another. Men indulged in vile practices with men, and incurred in their own persons the inevitable penalty for their perverseness.
28 Ke sripen mwet uh srangesr in nunku ke etauk pwaye ke God, na pa El fuhlelana elos in sifacna oru nunak sakirik lalos, pwanang elos oru ma na sufal elos in oru.
Then, as they would not keep God before their minds, God abandoned them to depraved thoughts, so that they did all kinds of shameful things.
29 Elos sessesla ke kain koluk nukewa: nunak koluk, rapku, ac wenteisr; elos arulana sok, akmas, anwuk, kutasrik ac sulallal. Elos mwet lesrik
They revelled in every form of wickedness, evil, greed, vice. Their lives were full of envy, murder, quarrelling, treachery, malice.
30 ac kaskas in akkolukye sie sin sie. Elos srunga God, enum in kaskas, inse fulat ac filang. Elos kinauk inkanek in alein, ac seakos papa nina.
They became back-biters, slanderers, impious, insolent, boastful. They devised new sins. They disobeyed their parents.
31 Elos koflana akilen inmasrlon ma wo ac ma koluk. Elos tia liyaung wulela lalos, ac wangin kulang ac pakoten lalos nu sin mwet.
They were undiscerning, untrustworthy, without natural affection or pity.
32 Elos etu lah ma sap lun God fahk mu mwet su moulkin ouiya inge, fal elos in misa. Tusruktu elos nuna oru na ma inge, ac elos oayapa akkeye mwet saya ma oru ma inge.
Well aware of God’s decree, that those who do such things deserve to die, not only are they guilty of them themselves, but they even applaud those who do them.
