< Mark 9 >

1 Ac el fahk pac nu selos, “Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, oas rkutu selos inge su ac fah tiana misa nwe ke elos liye Tokosrai lun God tuku ke ku.”
He said to them, "Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see the Kingdom of God come with power."
2 Tukun len onkosr Jesus el eisal Peter, James ac John, ac el usaltalak nu fin soko eol fulat yen ma elos muku we. Ke eltal ngetang liyal, Jesus el ekla,
After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
3 ac nuknuk lal ekla saromrom, arulana fasrfasr liki na ma kutena mwet faclu ku in akfasrfasrye.
His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
4 Ac mwet tumal lutlut tolu ah liyal Elijah ac Moses ke eltal sramsram nu sin Jesus.
Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
5 Na Peter el fahk nu sin Jesus, “Mwet Luti, seyal wo ke kut muta inge uh! Kut ac orala tolu iwen aktuktuk — sie nu sum, sie nu sel Moses, ac sie nu sel Elijah.”
Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
6 El ac mwet wial uh arulana sangeng, pwanang el nikanla lah mea el ac fahk.
For he did not know what to answer, for they became very afraid.
7 Na sie pukunyeng sikyak ac sonolosi, ac sie pusra tuku in pukunyeng uh me ac fahk, “El inge el Wen kulo nutik — kowos lohngol!”
A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, "This is my beloved Son. Listen to him."
8 Ac ke eltal sa na in lohang nu kac, eltal tia liyauk kutena mwet, a Jesus mukena oasr yoroltal.
Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them anymore, except Jesus alone.
9 Ac ke elos oatui liki fineol uh, Jesus el wili nu seltal ac fahk, “Nimet komtal fahkak nu sin kutena mwet ke ma komtal tuh liye, nwe ke na pacl se Wen nutin Mwet el sifil moulyak liki misa.”
As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10 Elos akos fahk lal, tusruktu elos mutawauk in asiyuki inmasrlolos sifacna ac fahk, “Mea kalmen ‘sifil moulyak liki misa’ se inge?”
They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the "rising from the dead" meant.
11 Ac elos siyuk sin Jesus, “Efu ku mwet luti Ma Sap uh elos fahk mu Elijah el ac tuku meet?”
They asked him, saying, "Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?"
12 Ac el topuk nu selos, “Pwayena lah Elijah el ac tuku meet tuh elan aksuwosye ma nukewa. Na fuka tuh Ma Simusla uh fahk mu Wen nutin Mwet el ac fah keok ke ma puspis ac pilesreyuk?
And he said to them, "Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. And why is it written of the Son of Man that he should suffer many things and be rejected?
13 A nga fahk nu suwos lah Elijah el tuku tari, ac mwet uh oru nu sel kutena ma elos lungse oru nu sel, oana ke Ma Simusla fahkak kacl.”
But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him."
14 Ke elos foloko nu yurin mwet tumal lutlut wialos, elos liye u lulap se raunelosla, ac mwet luti Ma Sap elos akukuin yorolos.
And when they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them, and scribes questioning them.
15 Ac ke mwet uh liyal Jesus elos arulana lut, ac kasrusr nu yorol ac paingul.
Immediately all the crowd, when they saw him, were greatly amazed, and running to him greeted him.
16 Na Jesus el siyuk sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Mea kowos akukuin nu selos kac uh?”
He asked them, "What are you arguing about with them?"
17 Ac sie sin mwet in u sac topuk nu sel ac fahk, “Mwet Luti, nga use nu yurum wen nutik ke sripen oasr ngun fohkfok yorol ac el tia ku in kaskas.
And one out of the crowd answered him, "Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;
18 Pacl nukewa ngun fohkfok ac aklokoalokyal uh el ac kipakinilya nu infohk uh, ac atinfilak fahsr inwalul, ac el ngalseni inwihsel, ac kekela manol nufon. Nga siyuk sin mwet tomom lutlut elos in sisla ngun sac, a elos koflana.”
and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and wastes away. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren't able."
19 Ac Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Fuka lupan selulalfongi lowos uh! Nga ac muta yuruwos putaka? Nga ac muteng kowos nwe ngac? Usalu nu yuruk!”
And answering, he said to them, "You unbelieving generation, how long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to me."
20 Ac elos usalla nu yorol Jesus. Ke pacl se na ngun fohkfok sac liyalak Jesus, el sisya tulik sac ac tuyang musal, ac el putatla nu infohk uh ac tipirpir, ac atinfilak tuku inwalul me.
They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.
21 Ac Jesus el siyuk sin papa tumal, “Mas se inge oan yorol putaka?” Ac el topuk ac fahk, “Ke el tulik ah me.
He asked his father, "How long has it been since this has come to him?" He said, "From childhood.
22 Pacl puspis ngun fohkfok uh srike in unilya ke el ac siselang nu in e, ku nu in kof uh. Pakomutasr ac kasrekut, kom fin ku!”
And it has often cast him both into fire and into water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us."
23 Ac Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Aok, kom sifacna fin ku! Ma nukewa ku nu sel su lulalfongi.”
Jesus said to him, "'If you can?' All things are possible to him who believes."
24 In pacl sacna papa sac wowoyak ac fahk nu sel, “Nga lulalfongi, tuh soenna fal. Kasreyu akyokye lulalfongi luk uh!”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, "I believe. Help my unbelief."
25 Ac Jesus el liye lah mwet uh kilukeni nu yorolos, na el kai ngun fohkfok sac ac fahk nu sel, “Kom ngun se su sulohng ac sukas, nga sap kom in fahla liki tulik sacn, ac tia sifil ilyak nu in el!”
When Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, "You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again."
26 Ngun sac wowoyak ac sisya tulik sac nu infohk uh, na el illa lukel. Tulik sac oan oana elan misa, ac mwet uh fahk, “El misa!”
Having screamed, and convulsed greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead; so much that most of them said, "He is dead."
27 A Jesus el sruokya paol ac tulokunulak, ac el tuyak.
But Jesus took him by the hand, and raised him up; and he arose.
28 Tukun Jesus el utyak nu in lohm ah, mwet tumal lutlut elos siyuk sel in lukma ac fahk, “Efu ku kut kofla in sisla ngun fohkfok sac?”
And when he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, "Why could we not cast it out?"
29 Ac Jesus el topuk ac fahk, “Wangin ma ku in sisla ngun ouinge uh sayen pre mukena.”
And he said to them, "This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer and fasting."
30 Jesus ac mwet tumal lutlut som liki acn sac ac fahsr sasla Galilee. Jesus el tia lungse mwet uh in etu acn el oasr we,
They went out from there, and passed through Galilee. He did not want anyone to know it.
31 mweyen el luti nu sin mwet tumal lutlut ac fahk nu selos, “Wen nutin Mwet el ac fah itukyang nu inpoun mwet su ac fah unilya. Tusruktu tukun len tolu el ac fah sifil moulyak.”
For he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, "The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, after three days he will rise again."
32 A elos tia etu kalmen ma el luti inge, ac elos sangeng in siyuk sel.
But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.
33 Elos tuku nu Capernaum, ac ke elos ilyak nu in lohm uh, Jesus el siyuk selos, “Mea kowos asiyuki kac inkanek uh?”
He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, "What were you arguing on the way?"
34 A elos tiana topkol, mweyen elos akukuin inmasrlolos sifacna lah su kac ac fulat emeet selos uh.
But they were silent, for they had disputed one with another on the way about who was the greatest.
35 Na Jesus el muta ac pangonma mwet tumal lutlut singoul luo ac fahk nu selos, “Kutena mwet fin lungse tuh elan meet, el fah oru tuh elan tok liki nukewa, ac elan mwet kulansap nu sin mwet nukewa.”
And he sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all, and servant of all."
36 Na el eis sie tulik srisrik ac sap elan tuyak ye mutalos nukewa, na el kaosulma ac fahk,
He took a little child, and set him in the midst of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
37 “Kutena mwet su eis sie sin tulik srisrik ouinge inek, el eisyu; ac el su eisyu el tia eisyu mukena, a el eisal pac su supweyume.”
"Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, does not receive me, but him who sent me."
38 John el fahk nu sel, “Mwet Luti, kut tuh liye mwet se sisla demon uh inem; a kut kutongilya mweyen el tia ma in u lasr uh.”
John said to him, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he was not following us."
39 Ac Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Nik kowos srike in kutongilya, mweyen wangin sie mwet su oru ma sakirik ke inek fah ku in fahk ma koluk keik tukun el oru ma inge.
But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
40 Tuh kutena mwet su tia lain kut, el wi kut.
For whoever is not against us is for us.
41 Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, kutena mwet su sot nu suwos sie cup in kof nimowos ke sripen kowos mwet luk, fah eis lacnen orekma wo lal.
For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you belong to the Christ, truly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
42 “Fin oasr kutena mwet su aktukulkulye sie sin tulik srisrik inge in tila lulalfongiyu, fal nu sin mwet sacn in sripsripi sie tapweng eot inkwawal ac sisila el nu in meoa uh.
Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he was thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.
43 La poum fin aktukulkulye kom, pakela! Ac wo nu sum kom in utyak nu in moul wi la na poum, liki in oasr po luo lom ac kom som nu in hell, nu in e se koflana kunla. [ (Geenna g1067)
If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire, (Geenna g1067)
44 “Yen wet ma kang manolos tiana misa, ac e uh tiana kunla.]
45 Ac la niom fin aktukulkulye kom, pakela! Wo kom in ilyak nu in moul ke lac ne liki in oasr niom kewa ac sisila kom nu in hell. [ (Geenna g1067)
If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
46 Yen wet ma kang manolos tiana misa, ac e uh tiana kunla.]
47 Ac la motom fin aktukulkulye kom, tipalla! Wo kom in lac atronmuta na ilyak nu in Tokosrai lun God, liki in fas atronmotom kewa ac sisila kom nu in hell. (Geenna g1067)
If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell, (Geenna g1067)
48 ‘Yen wet ma kang manolos tiana misa, ac e uh tiana kunla.’
'where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.'
49 “Mwet nukewa ac fah aknasnasyeyuk ke e, oana ke mwe kisa uh aknasnasyeyuk ke sohl uh.
For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be salted with salt.
50 Sohl uh wo, tuh fin wangin eman sohl kac, ac fuka oreya in sifil oasr emah? “Lela sohl lun insese in oasr inmasrlowos, ac kowos in moul in misla yurin sie sin sie.”
Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how can you make it salty? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another."
