< Mark 10 >

1 Na Jesus el fahsr liki acn sac ac som nu in facl Judea ac tupalla Infacl Jordan. Ac un mwet puspis sifilpa fahsreni nu yorol, ac el luti nu selos oana ke el oru pacl nukewa.
On leaving that place Jesus came into the borders of Judea, on the other side of the Jordan, Once more the people flocked about him, and again, as usual, he began teaching them.
2 Ac kutu mwet Pharisee elos tuku nu yorol ac srike in srikal ac siyuk sel, “Fahk nu sesr, ku Ma Sap lasr uh lela sie mukul in sisla mutan kial?”
Presently some Pharisees came up and tested him, by asking if it was lawful for a man to divorce his wife.
3 Ac Jesus el topkolos ke sie kusen siyuk, “Ma sap fuka Moses el sot nu suwos?”
"What did Moses command you?" he replied,
4 Elos topuk ac fahk, “Moses el lela sie mukul in simusla sie pwepu in fahsrelik na el fah supwala mutan kial in som lukel.”
"Moses," said they, "permitted a man to draw up a bill of separation and divorce her."
5 Ac Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Moses el simusla ma sap se ingan nu suwos ke sripen upa in lutiyuk kowos.
But Jesus said to them. "Moses gave you that command because of the hardness of your hearts;
6 Tusruktu, ke mutaweyen orekla faclu, ‘God El oralosla mukul ac mutan,’ oana ke Ma Simusla fahk.
but from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 ‘Pa ingan sripa se oru sie mukul el som liki papa tumal ac nina kial, ac fulyang nu sin mutan kial,
"For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh;
8 ac eltal ma sefannala.’ Ouinge eltal fah tia sifil ma luo, a ma sefanna.
so that they are no more two, but one flesh.
9 Ke ma inge, ma God El falsani lela mwet in tia eisalik.”
What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."
10 Ke elos folokla nu in lohm ah, mwet tumal lutlut elos siyuk sel Jesus ke ma inge.
When indoors the disciples began to question Jesus again about this, and he said.
11 Ac el fahk nu selos, “El su sisla mutan kial ac marut nu sin sie pac mutan, el orek kosro lain mutan kial.
"Any man who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her;
12 In ouiya se pacna inge, sie mutan su sisla mukul tumal ac payuk nu sin sie pac mukul, el orek kosro.”
and if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."
13 Kutu mwet uh use tulik natulos nu yurin Jesus tuh elan filiya paol faclos, a mwet tumal lutlut elos kai mwet ah.
Now people were bringing little children to Jesus for him to touch them; but the disciples rebuked them.
14 Ke Jesus el liye, el arulana toasr ac fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Lela tulik srisrik ingan in tuku nu yuruk ac nimet ikololosi, tuh Tokosrai lun God ma lalos su ou elos.
Jesus was indignant when he saw it, and said. "Let the little children come to me. Do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such.
15 Pwayena nga fahk nu suwos, el su tia eis Tokosrai lun God oana sie tulik srisrik, fah koflana ilyak nu loac.”
I tell you true that unless a man receives the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not even enter it."
16 Na el srukak tulik srisrik uh ac filiya paol fin kais sie selos, ac akinsewowoyelosla.
Then he took them in his arms, and laid his hand upon them in blessing.
17 Ac ke Jesus el mukuiyak in som liki acn sac, sie mwet kasrusr nu yorol ac sikukmutuntei ye mutal ac siyuk sel, “Mwet Luti wo, mea nga ac oru tuh ngan ku in eis moul ma pahtpat?” (aiōnios g166)
As he started to go forth into the road, a man came running up to him, and knelt down before him. "Good Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" (aiōnios g166)
18 Ac Jesus el siyuk sel, “Efu kom ku pangonyu wo? Wangin sie mwet wo sayen God mukena.
Jesus said to him. "Why do you call me ‘good’? No one is good save one, God himself.
19 Kom etu ma sap: ‘Nik kom akmas, nik kom kosro, nik kom pisrapasr, nik kom orek loh kikiap lain mwet, nik kom kutasrik in kiapu mwet, sunakin papa tomom ac nina kiom.’”
You know the commandments. Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat, honor your father and mother."
20 Na mwet sac fahk nu sel, “Mwet Luti, nga liyaung ma inge nukewa in pacl nga fusr me.”
"Teacher," he answered, "I have observed all these from my youth."
21 Jesus el lungse el, ac el ngetang suilya ac fahk, “Ma sefanna kom srak fos kac. Fahla ac kukakunla ma lom nukewa ac sang mani kac an nu sin mwet sukasrup, na ac fah oasr mwe kasrup lom inkusrao; na kom fahsru fahsr tukuk.”
Jesus loved him as he looked at him, and said. "One thing you lack. Go, sell all you have and give to the poor; and you shall have wealth in heaven; and come, follow me."
22 Ke mwet sac lohng ma inge, mutal arulana supwarla ac el som lukel ke inse toasr, mweyen el sie mwet na kasrup.
But his face fell at these words, and he went away saddened, for he was one who had great wealth.
23 Jesus ngetang nu sin mwet tumal lutlut ac fahk nu selos, “Arulana upa mwet kasrup uh in utyak nu in Tokosrai lun God!”
Then Jesus looked round on his disciples and said, "How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter into the kingdom of God!"
24 Mwet tumal lutlut elos arulana lut ke kas inge, ac Jesus el sifilpa fahk, “Tulik nutik, kowos in etu lah ma na upa se in utyak nu in Tokosrai lun God!
The disciples were amazed at his words. Jesus looked around and said again to them.
25 Ac fisrasr tuh soko camel in fahsr sasla ke mutun soko nilul, liki sie mwet kasrup in ilyak nu in Tokosrai lun God.”
"My sons, how hard it is for those who trust in money to enter the kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."
26 Ke el fahk ma inge, mwet tumal lutlut elos arulana fwefela kac, ac asiyuki inmasrlolos ac fahk, “Fin ouinge, su ac ku in moulla?”
"Then who can be saved?" they said to themselves astonished beyond measure.
27 Jesus el ngetang nu selos ac fahk, “Ma inge upa sin mwet uh, tusruktu tia upa sin God; tuh God El ku in oru ma nukewa.”
When he had looked at them, Jesus said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God."
28 Na Peter el kasla ac fahk, “Liye, kut filiya ma nukewa ac fahsr tukum.”
"But we," Peter began to say, "we have left our all and have followed you."
29 Na Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Aok pwaye, ac nga fahk nu suwos, kutena mwet su filiya lohm sel, ku mwet lel ac mwet lohl, ku papa ac nina kial, ku tulik natul, ku facl sel ke sripuk ac ke sripen Wosasu,
"I tell you solemnly," said Jesus, "that there is no man who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake and the gospel’s,
30 el ac fah eis ma yohk liki na in pacl inge. El ac fah eis pacl siofok yohk liki ke lohm, mwet lel ac mwet lohl, nina kial ac tulik natul, facl sel, ac oayapa mwe keok nu sel. Ac in moul se tok ah, el ac fah eis moul ma pahtpat. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but shall receive a hundred times as much, now in this present world, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, lands-and persecutions with them - and in the world to come eternal life. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 A mwet puspis su meet in pacl inge, elos ac fah tok, ac mwet puspis su tok in pacl inge elos ac fah mau meet.
But many who are first shall be last, and the last, first."
32 In pacl se inge Jesus ac mwet tumal lutlut elos fahsr inkanek uh in som nu Jerusalem. Ac Jesus el fahsr meet lukelos, ac elos arulana inse fosrnga, ac mwet ma fahsr tokolos elos sangeng. Na Jesus el sifilpa srela mwet tumal lutlut singoul luo ac fahkak ke ma ac sikyak nu sel.
They were still on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus led the way; and they were amazed, and some, although they followed, were afraid. Then once more he took the Twelve, and began to tell them what was about to befall him.
33 El fahk nu selos, “Lohng akwoye. Kut ac som nu Jerusalem, yen Wen nutin Mwet el ac fah itukyang nu inpoun mwet tol fulat ac mwet luti Ma Sap uh. Elos ac fah wotela in anwuki el, ac eisalang nu sin mwet pegan,
"See," said he, "we are going up to Jerusalem and the Son of man will be betrayed to the high priests and the Scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles,
34 su ac fah aksruksrukel, anel, srunglul, ac unilya. Na tukun len tolu el fah sifil moulyak.”
who will mock him, spit upon him, flog him, and put him to death; and after three days he will rise again."
35 Na James ac John, wen natul Zebedee, eltal kalukyang nu yurin Jesus ac fahk nu sel, “Mwet Luti, oasr ma se kut lungse siyuk kom in oru nu sesr.”
Presently there came up to him Jamesand John, the sons of Zebedee, and said, "Teacher, we wish you would do for us whatever we ask you."
36 Ac Jesus el siyuk seltal, “Mea se?”
"What is it you want me to do for you?" said he.
37 Na eltal fahk, “Ke pacl se kom ac muta fin tron wolana in Tokosrai lom, kut lungse wi kom muta, sie lac po layot ac sie lac po lasa sum.”
They answered, "Allow us to sit, one at your right hand, and the other at your left hand, in your glory."
38 Ac Jesus el fahk nu seltal, “Komtal tia etu ma komtal siyuk an. Ya komtal ku in nim ke cup in keok su nga ac fah nim kac? Ya komtal ku in baptais ke baptais su nga enenu in baptais kac?”
"You know not what you are asking," said Jesus. "Can you drink the cup that I drink, or be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"
39 Eltal topuk, “Kut ku.” Na Jesus el fahk nu seltal, “Pwaye lah komtal ac nim ke cup su nga enenu in nim kac, ac baptais ke ouiyen baptais su nga enenu in baptais kac.
They answered him, "We can." "You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism that I am baptized with shall you be baptized,
40 Tuh nga tia ku in fahk lah su ac fah muta lac pouk layot ac lac pouk lasa. God pa ac fah sang acn inge nu sin mwet su El akola nu se.”
but a seat upon my right hand or my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been reserved."
41 Ke mwet tumal lutlut singoul ah lohng ke siyuk se inge, elos arulana kasrkusrak sel James ac John.
When they heard this the ten began to be indignant at Jamesand John, so Jesus called them to him and said.
42 Ouinge Jesus el pangnoloseni ac fahk nu selos, “Kowos etu lah mwet kol lun mwet pegan uh lungsena sapsap nu fin mwet lalos, ac mwet leum uh elos akkalemye lah ku nukewa oasr selos.
"You know that those who are regarded as rulers among the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make them feel their authority.
43 Tusruktu tia ouinge inmasrlowos. El su lungse in fulat, el enenu in kulansupu mwet ngia;
Not so shall it be among you. On the contrary whoever would become great among you shall be your servant;
44 ac sie suwos fin lungse in meet inmasrlowos, el enenu in mwet foko lowos nukewa.
and whoever among you would be first, shall be slave of all,
45 Finne Wen nutin Mwet, el tia tuku tuh in kulansupweyuk el; a el tuku in kulansap ac sang moul lal in molela mwet puspis.”
and justly, for even the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life, a ransom for many."
46 Jesus wi mwet tumal lutlut ac u lulap se elos fahsr sasla in acn Jericho, ac ke elos illa sie mwet kun el muta ngusr pe innek uh. Inel pa Bartimaeus, wen natul Timaeus.
Then they reached Jericho; and as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimeus, the son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting beside the road.
47 Ke el lohng tuh Jesus mwet Nazareth pa ac fahsryak uh, el wowoyak ac fahk, “Jesus, Wen nutin David, pakomutuk!”
Hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began shouting and saying, "Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me!"
48 Pus sin mwet uh mulat nu sel ac fahk elan misla. A el wowoyak yohk liki meet ac fahk, “Wen nutin David, pakoten nu sik!”
and many kept rebuking him and telling him to be quiet, but he only shouted much louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
49 Ac Jesus el tui ac fahk, “Pangnolma.” Ouinge elos pangon mwet kun sac ac fahk nu sel, “Kom in enganak! Tuyak, el pangon kom.”
Then Jesus stood still, saying, "Call him." So they called the blind man, and said, "Courage, rise, he is calling you."
50 Na el sisla nuknuk lik lal ac sroak ac tuku nu yurin Jesus.
The man threw off his cloak, sprang to his feet, and came to Jesus.
51 Ac Jesus el siyuk sel, “Mea kom lungse ngan oru nu sum?” Ac mwet kun sac fahk, “Mwet Luti, nga kena ngan ku in sifil liye.”
"What do you want me to do?" said Jesus, addressing him. And the blind man answered, "O Rabboni, that I might receive my sight!"
52 Ac Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Kom ku in som. Lulalfongi lom akkeyekomla.” In pacl sacna, el ku in liye, ac el fahsr tokol Jesus inkanek uh.
"Go," said Jesus, "your own faith has saved you," and immediately he received his sight, and began to follow Jesus along the road.
