Luke 11

When he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as Yochanan also taught his disciples.”
2 Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Kowos in pre ouinge: ‘Papa: Lela Ine mutal lom in akfulatyeyuk; Lela Tokosrai lom in tuku.
He said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
3 Kite kut mwe mongo ma kut enenu pingana len.
Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 Nunak munas nu sesr ke ma koluk lasr, Mweyen kut nunak munas nu sin mwet nukewa su oru koluk nu sesr. Ac tia kol kut nu ke mwe srike upa.’”
Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”
5 Ac Jesus el fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Fin pa sie suwos som nu lohm sin mwet kawuk se lal ke infulwen fong ac fahk nu sel, ‘Mwet kawuk, sewin tolkwe lof in bread an.
He said to them, “Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight and tell him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6 Kawuk se luk fahsr nu ke sie pac acn tuh pa tui yuruk, a wangin ma ngan sang kital!’
for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’
7 Na kawuk se lom el fin kasma luin lohm uh me, ‘Nimet tukasru! Ku kom tia liye lah srungul uh kauli tari? Nga ac tulik nutik inge mutulla tari. Nga tia ku in tukakek ac sot enenu lom an.’
and he from within will answer and say, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’?
8 Na fuka? Nga fahk nu suwos lah el finne tia tukakek ac sot bread uh nu sum ke sripen kom mwet kawuk lal, tusruk ke sripen sumwekin ac kuinsrim lom an, el ac tukakek ac sot mwe enenu lom nukewa.
I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.
9 Ouinge nga fahk nu suwos: Siyuk, ac ac fah itukot nu suwos; suk, ac kowos fah konauk; towolak, ac ac fah ikakla nu suwos.
“I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
12 Ku el fin siyuk ke sie atro, ya kom ac sang nu sel soko scorpion?
Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he?
13 Kowos finne koluk, a kowos etu in sang ma wo nu sin tulik nutuwos uh. Kalem na lah Papa tomowos inkusrao El ac oru arulana yohk liki, ac El ac fah sang Ngun Mutal nu selos su siyuk sel!”
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
14 Jesus el lusla sie demon su oru mwet se kofla kaskas, ac ke pacl se demon sac illa ah, mwet sac mutawauk in kaskas. Un mwet se ma liye ah arulana fwefela,
He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marvelled.
15 tusruktu kutu selos fahk mu, “Beelzebul, leum lun demon uh, pa sang ku nu sel in luselosyak uh.”
But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”
16 Ac kutu pac selos kena srikal Jesus, ouinge elos siyuk sel elan oru sie mwe akul in akkalemye lah ku lal ma inkusrao me.
Others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.
17 Tuh Jesus el etu ma elos nunku, na el fahk nu selos, “Kutena mutunfacl su srisrielik ac alein sie sin sie fah tia oan paht; sie sou su srisrielik ac fah musalelik.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.
18 Ke ma inge, u lun Satan uh fin tukeni aacnwuki, na tokosrai lal uh ac ku fuka? Kowos fahk mu nga lusla demon uh mweyen Beelzebul el se ku luk in oru.
If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.
19 Fin pa ingan ouiya nga oru uh, na mwet lowos uh luselosla fuka? Mwet lowos uh sifacna akpwayei lah kowos sutuela!
But if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
20 Tiana ouingan, a ku lun God pa oru nga in lusla demon uh, ac ma inge akpwayei lah Tokosrai lun God tuku tari nu yuruwos.
But if I by God’s finger cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come to you.
21 “Ke sie mwet fokoko el akoela tari kufwen mwe mweun lal nukewa in karingin lohm sel, na ma lal nukewa ac oanna wo.
“When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.
22 Tusruktu sie mwet ma ku lukel fin tuku lainul ac kutangulla, el ac usla kufwen mweun nukewa ma mwet sac tuh lulalfongi, ac kitalik ma el pisrala uh.
But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armour in which he trusted, and divides his plunder.
23 “El su tia wiyu, el lainyu. Ac el su tia wiyu eisani, el sisalik.
“He who is not with me is against me. He who doesn’t gather with me scatters.
24 “Ke pacl se sie ngun fohkfok ac illa liki sie mwet, el ac forfor in acn ma wangin kof we, in suk acn elan mongla we. El fin tia ku in konauk, el ac fahk nu sel sifacna, ‘Nga ac folokla nu in lohm se nga muta we meet ah.’
The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will turn back to my house from which I came out.’

When he returns, he finds it swept and put in order.

Then he goes and takes seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first.”
27 Ke Jesus el fahk ma inge, mutan se kasak liki inmasrlon mwet uh ac fahk nu sel, “Insewowo mutan se su oswekomla ac katitii kom!”
It came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts which nursed you!”
28 A Jesus el topuk, “Aok pwaye, tuh elos su lohng kas lun God ac akos, ac insewowo yohk liki!’”
But he said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.”
29 Ke mwet uh iktokeni nu yorol Jesus, el sifilpa fahk, “Fuka lupan koluk lun mwet in pacl inge uh! Elos siyuk sie mwe akul lulap, tuh wangin ma ac itukyang nu selos sayen mwe akul kacl Jonah.
When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
30 In oapana ke mwet palu Jonah el tuh sie mwe akul nu sin mwet Nineveh, ouinge Wen nutin Mwet el ac fah sie mwe akul nu sin mwet in pacl inge.
For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so the Son of Man will also be to this generation.
31 Ke Len in Nununku uh, Kasra lun Sheba el ac mau tuyak ac orek loh lain mwet in pacl inge uh, mweyen el tuh tuku liki acn sel su oan yen loeslana in tuh porongo kas lalmwetmet lal Solomon; ac nga fahk nu suwos lah oasr sie inge su arulana yohk lukel Solomon.
The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgement with the men of this generation and will condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, one greater than Solomon is here.
32 Ke Len in Nununku, mwet Nineveh elos ac mau tuyak ac orek loh lain kowos, mweyen elos tuh forla liki ma koluk lalos ke elos lohng luti lal Jonah; ac nga fahk nu suwos lah oasr sie inge su arulana yohk lukel Jonah!
The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgement with this generation, and will condemn it, for they repented at the proclaiming of Jonah; and behold, one greater than Jonah is here.
33 “Wangin sie mwet ac akosak sie lam ac okanla, ku afinya ke sie ahlu. El ac filiya fin sukan lam uh, tuh mwet uh in liye kalem kac ke elos ac utyak nu in lohm uh.
“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.
34 Atronmutun mwet uh oana sie lam nu ke mano. Atronmotom fin nasnas, na monum nufon ac sessesla ke kalem; tusruktu atronmotom fin koluk, monum nufon ac fah lohsr.
The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness.
35 Kowos karinganang tuh kalem su oan in kowos an in tia lohsr.
Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness.
36 Monum nufon fin sessesla ke kalem ac wangin kitin acn lohsr kac, ac fah arulana kalem, oana ke sie lam ac tolkowosyak ke kalem yohk la.”
If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining gives you light.”
37 Tukun Jesus el kaskas tari, sie mwet Pharisee solal elan welul mongo; ouinge el utyak ac akola in mongo.
Now as he spoke, a certain Pharisee asked him to dine with him. He went in and sat at the table.
38 Mwet Pharisee sac lut ke el liye lah Jesus el tiana winwinla meet liki el mongo.
When the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed himself before dinner.
39 Ouinge Leum el fahk nu sel, “Kowos mwet Pharisee uh oaru na in ohlla acn lik ke cup ac ahlu in mongo lowos uh, a insiowos sesseslana ke sulallal ac ma koluk.
The Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness.
40 Kowos mwet nikin! God, su orala acn lik El oayapa orala acn loac!
You foolish ones, didn’t he who made the outside make the inside also?
41 A kowos in sang ma oan in cup ac ahlu lowos an nu sin mwet sukasrup, na ma nukewa ac fah nasnas nu suwos.
But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.
42 “We nu suwos mwet Pharisee! Kowos sang nu sin God sie tafu singoul, finne ke mahsrik mwe akyuye mongo oana mint ac rue, a kowos pilesru nununku suwohs ac lungse nu sin God. Fal kowos in oru ma inge, ac tia pilesru ma saya uh.
But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and God’s love. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
43 “We nu suwos mwet Pharisee! Kowos lungse nien muta fulat in iwen lolngok uh, ac in paingyuk kowos ke kas in sunak ke nien kuka uh.
Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.
44 We nu suwos! Kowos oana kulyuk ma wangin akul kac, na mwet uh fahsr fac ac tia akilen.”
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like hidden graves, and the men who walk over them don’t know it.”
45 Sie sin mwet luti Ma Sap uh fahk nu sel, “Mwet Luti, ke kom fahk ma inge, kom akkolukye kut pac!”
One of the Torah scholars answered him, “Rabbi, in saying this you insult us also.”
46 Jesus el topuk ac fahk, “We nu suwos pac, mwet luti Ma Sap! Kowos sang mwe utuk toasr nu fin mwet uh, a kowos tia asroela sokofanna kufinpouwos in kasrelos us ma inge.
He said, “Woe to you Torah scholars also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
47 We nu suwos! Kowos orala kulyuk na wowo nu sin mwet palu uh — nuna mwet palu na ma papa matu tomowos elos tuh onela.
Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 Kowos sifacna akkalemye lah kowos insese nu ke ma mwet matu lowos elos oru meet ah. Elos uniya mwet palu ah, na kowos musaela kulyuk lalos uh.
So you testify and consent to the works of your fathers. For they killed them, and you build their tombs.
49 Ke sripa se inge, Lalmwetmet lun God fahk mu, ‘Nga ac fah supwala mwet palu ac mwet sap nu yorolos; elos ac fah uniya kutu selos, ac kalyei kutu.’
Therefore also the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and emissaries; and some of them they will kill and persecute,
50 Ke ma inge mwet in pacl inge ac fah eis mwatan akmas ma papa matu tumalos tuh oru ke elos onela mwet palu nukewa ke mutaweyen orekla faclu ah me,
that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation,
51 mutawauk ke akmas kacl Abel me nwe ke akmas kacl Zechariah, su tuh anwuki inmasrlon loang in kisa ac Acn Mutal in Tempul uh. Aok, nga fahk nu suwos, mwet in fil se inge ac fah kalyeiyuk kaclos inge nukewa!
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary.’ Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.
52 “We nu suwos mwet luti Ma Sap uh! Kowos sruok key nu ke mutunoa lun etauk, a kowos sifacna tia utyak nu we, ac kowos kutongolos su kena utyak!”
Woe to you Torah scholars! For you took away the key of knowledge. You didn’t enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered.”
53 Ke Jesus el som liki lohm sac, mwet luti Ma Sap ac mwet Pharisee elos mutawauk in arulana lainul, ac srikal ke mwe siyuk puspis,
As he said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be terribly angry, and to draw many things out of him,
54 mweyen elos kena sruokilya ke kutu ma el ac fahk.
lying in wait for him, and seeking to catch him in something he might say, that they might accuse him.
