< Isaiah 3 >

1 Inge LEUM GOD Kulana El akola in eisla liki acn Jerusalem ac Judah ma nukewa mwet uh moulkin, oayapa mwet kol lalos. El ac eisla mwe mongo nalos ac kof nimalos,
For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, does take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.
2 mwet pulaik ac mwet mweun lalos, mwet nununku ac mwet palu lalos, mwet liyaten ac mwet matu lalos,
The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
3 mwet kol un mwet mweun ac mwet kol lun government, mwet pwapa fulat ac mwet susfa.
The captain of fifty, and the honorable man, and the counselor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
4 LEUM GOD El ac lela tuh mukul fusr na supah in kololos.
And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
5 Mwet nukewa ac srike in kiapu sie sin sie. Mwet fusr ac fah tia akfulatye mwet matu lalos, ac mwet lusrongten ac fah tia sunakin mwet leum lalos.
And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable.
6 Pacl se ac tuku ke mwet in sie sruf fah sulela sie sin mwet lalos ac fahk nu sel, “Kom pa oasr nuknuk la, na pa kom in mwet kol lasr ke pacl upa se inge.”
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, You have clothing, be you our ruler, and let this ruin be under your hand:
7 Ac el ac fah topuk, “Mo, nga tia ku in kasrekowos. Wangin mwe mongo ac wangin pac nuknuk luk. Nimet oru nga in mwet kol lowos!”
In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
8 Aok, Jerusalem ac fah musalla! Judah el ikori! Mwet we elos lain LEUM GOD in ma nukewa elos fahk ac oru. Elos lemtulauk in akkolukye God.
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 Ac fah nununkeyuk elos ke sripen srisri lalos. Elos orekma koluk lemtulauk oana mwet Sodom elos tuh oru. We nu selos! Elos sifacna use ma koluk nu faclos.
The show of their countenance does witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe to their soul! for they have rewarded evil to themselves.
10 Mwet suwoswos fah engan, ac ma nukewa ac fah wo nu selos. Elos ac engankin fokin orekma lalos.
Say you to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Tusruktu, we nu sin mwet koluk — ma koluk elos tuh oru nu sin mwet ngia, ac fah folokyang nu selos.
Woe to the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12 Tulik srisrik elos akkeokye mwet luk, ac mutan uh leum fin mwet luk. Mwet kol lowos kol kowos ke inkanek tafongla, pwanang kowos tia etu acn kowos ac fahsr nu we.
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.
13 LEUM GOD El akola in oru tukak lal; El akola in nununku mwet lal.
The LORD stands up to plead, and stands to judge the people.
14 LEUM GOD El use mwet matu ac mwet kol lun mwet lal nu ke nununku. Pa inge kas in tukak lal: “Kowos pisrala ima in grape uh, ac lohm suwos sessesla ke ma kowos eisla sin mwet sukasrup.
The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for you have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
15 Wangin suwohs lowos in oru koluk mwet luk ac aklalfonye mwet sukasrup. Nga, LEUM GOD Fulat ac Kulana, pa fahk ma inge.”
What mean you that you beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? says the Lord GOD of hosts.
16 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Liye luman inse fulat lun mutan Jerusalem inge! Elos forfor na sengseng infwaclos. Pacl nukewa elos orek lumah. Mwe lohl ke kapsran nialos erarrar ke elos srala fahsr.
Moreover the LORD says, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
17 Tusruktu nga ac kalyaelos — nga fah mangsrasraela sifalos.”
Therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
18 Sie len ac tuku ke LEUM GOD El ac eisla liki mutan Jerusalem ma nukewa elos filangkin — mwe naweyuk ke kapin nialos, fin sifalos, inkwawalos,
In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,
19 ac ke paolos. El ac eisla nuknuk afinyen mutalos,
The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
20 ac susu lalos, ac mwe lohl inutnut oan ke paolos ac ke infulwalos;
The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
21 ring ke kufinpaolos ac ke infwaclos,
The rings, and nose jewels,
22 nuknuk loeloes kato lalos, nuknuk in kufwa, coat in mutan, ac kupwes;
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,
23 nuknuk ngunngun, handkerchief linen, mwe afyuf insuf, ac mwe susu loeloes fin sifalos.
The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the veils.
24 Fohlo keng lalos ac fah foul koluk; wanginla pel kato lalos na elos ac orekmakin sucl; sifalos ac tila matol, a elos ac mangsrasrala; elos ac tila nukum nuknuk kato, a nukum nuknuk mihsasa; oasku lalos ac fah ekla nu ke mwe mwekin!
And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.
25 Mukul in siti uh, aok finne mukul ma arulana ku, ac fah anwuki ke mweun.
Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war.
26 Mutunpot lun siti ac fah tung ac mwemelil, ac siti sac sifacna ac fah oana sie mutan koflufoliyukla ac muta infohk uh.
And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit on the ground.
