For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 Ac Abraham el tuh sang nu sel sie tafu singoul ke ma nukewa ma el sruokya ah.
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Wangin ma simla ke papa tumal Melchizedek ku nina kial, ku kutena fwilin mwet matu lal. Wangin pac ma simla in akkalemye isusla ku misa lal. El oana Wen nutin God; el mwet tol na nwe tok.
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like to the Son of God; stays a priest continually.
4 Kowos ku in akilen lah el arulana fulat. Abraham, mwet matu pwengpeng lasr, el sang nu sel sie tafu singoul ke ma nukewa ma el sruokya ke mweun ah.
Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5 Ma Sap uh fahk mu mwet in fwilin tulik natul Levi su mwet tol, elos enenu in eisani sie tafu singoul sin mwet Israel wialos, mwet inge finne oayapa mwet in fwilin tulik natul Abraham.
And truly they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 Melchizedek el tia ma ke fwilin tulik natul Levi, a el tuh eis sie tafu singoul sel Abraham ac akinsewowoyal.
But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8 Fin nu ke mwet tol uh, sie tafu singoul tuh orekeni sin mwet ma ac misa; a funu Melchizedek, el moulna ac el pa eis sie tafu singoul sac, oana ke Ma Simusla uh fahk.
And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives.
9 Na kut ku in fahk mu ke Abraham el sang sie tafu singoul sac, Levi (su fwilin tulik natul pa orani sie tafu singoul uh) el oayapa moli.
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
10 Mweyen Levi el soenna isusla in pacl sac, tuh kut ku in fahk mu el oasr na in manol Abraham, papa matu se tumal, ke pacl se Melchizedek el tuh sonol ah.
For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 Orekma lun mwet tol ke sruf lal Levi pa sie oakwuk yohk in Ma Sap ma tuh itukyang nu sin mwet Israel. Na, funu ku in oasr suwoswos lun mwet ke sripen orekma lun mwet tol Levi inge, lukun tia eneneyuk in oasr sie pacna mwet tol saya sikyak in oana Melchizedek, su tia ma ke sruf lal Aaron.
If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law, ) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 Tuh ke oakwuk nu ke suleyen mwet tol fin ayaolla, na enenu pac in oasr ayaol nu ke ma sap uh.
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 Ac Leum lasr, su ma inge fwack kacl, el ma in siena sruf, ac soenna oasr mwet tol sikyak in sruf se lal inge.
For he of whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
15 Ma inge sifilpa arulana kalemla; sie pacna kain mwet tol sikyak tari su oapana Melchizedek.
And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there rises another priest,
16 El tuh tia orekla sie mwet tol ke sripen ma sap ku oakwuk lun sruf lal uh, a ke ku lun moul lal ma wangin safla kac.
Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 Tuh Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Kom ac fah sie mwet tol nwe tok, in oana mwet tol Melchizedek.” (aiōn g165)
For he testifies, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn g165)
18 Ke ma inge ma sap meet ah sisila tari ke sripen ma sap sac munas ac wangin sripa.
For there is truly a cancellation of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 Tuh ma sap lal Moses tia ku in aksuwosyela kutena ma. Ac inge ituku nu sesr sie finsrak su wo liki na ma kut tuh finsrak kac meet ah, su akfototoye kut nu yurin God.
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw near to God.
Wangin kain in fulahk ouinge tuh orek ke srisrngiyuki mwet tol ngia.
And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21 A ke Jesus el tuh orekla sie mwet tol, God El orala sie fulahk ac fahk nu sel, “Leum El tuh orala sie wulela ku Ac El ac fah tiana ekulla, su fahk: ‘Kom ac fah sie mwet tol nwe tok.’” (aiōn g165)
(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said to him, The Lord swore and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec: ) (aiōn g165)
22 Kalmen ma inge pa Jesus el mwe akpwaye nu sesr lah ac fah oasr sie wuleang inmasrlosr ac God su wo liki ma meet ah.
By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 Oasr pac sie ma ekla: pus sunun mwet tol in pacl meet ah, mweyen elos misa ac tia ku in sifil oru orekma kunalos.
And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 A Jesus el ac moulna nwe tok, ac orekma in tol lal uh ac tia sifil itukyang nu sin sie mwet saya. (aiōn g165)
But this man, because he continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood. (aiōn g165)
25 Ouinge el ku in molelosla nukewa su tuku nu yurin God kacl, inge ac nwe tok, mweyen el moul ma pahtpat tuh elan siyuk nu sin God kaclos.
Why he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.
El srisrila liki mwet koluk, ac akfulatyeyuk el nu yen fulatlana inkusrao.
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 El tia oana mwet tol fulat ngia; el tia enenu in orek kisa ke len nukewa — nu ke ma koluk lal sifacna meet, na tufah nu ke ma koluk lun mwet uh. El oru kisa sefanna, ke pacl sefanna in akfalye pacl nukewa, ke el kisakunul sifacna.
Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 Ma Sap lal Moses uh srisrngi mwet sesuwos elos in mwet tol fulat; a wulela se lun God wi fulahk sac, ma orekla tukun Ma Sap uh, pa orekmakinyuk in sulela Wen natul nu ke mwet tol fulat, ac Wen se inge suwoswoslana nwe tok. (aiōn g165)
For the law makes men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, makes the Son, who is consecrated for ever more. (aiōn g165)
