< Galatia 2 >

1 Tukun yac singoul akosr nga welul Barnabas folokla nu Jerusalem, ac nga eisal Titus wiyu.
Fourteen years later I went up to Jerusalem again, with Barnabas, and took Titus also with me
2 Nga som mweyen God El akkalemye nu sik lah nga enenu in som. Ke sie meeting lun mwet kol mukena, nga tuh aketeya ke Pweng Wo su nga luti nu sin mwet pegan. Nga tia lungse tuh orekma luk ke pacl somla, ku ke pacl inge, in wangin sripa.
(I went up at that time in obedience to a revelation). And I laid before them the gospel which I am wont to preach among the Gentiles. I did this privately before those in authority, lest by any means I should be running, or should already have run, in vain.
3 Na elos tiana sapkin tuh Titus, su wiyu som, elan kosreyukla, el finne sie mwet Greek,
But although Titus, my companion, was a Greek, they did not compel even him to be circumcised.
4 tusruktu oasr kutu mwet su nunku mu enenu na elan kosreyukla. Mwet inge oru mu elos mwet lulalfongi sruk elos tiana, na elos ilyak nu in u lasr oana mwet kalngeyuk elos in mau konauk ouiyen sukosokla lasr ke sripen kut ma sefannala yurin Christ Jesus. Elos lungse in oru mu kut mwet kohs nu ke oakwuk nukewa lun Ma Sap uh,
Yet there were false brethren who had crept in to spy out the freedom we enjoy in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us again.
5 tusruktu kut tiana munasla kutu srisrik in lainulos, ke sripen kut kena karingin pwayeiyen wosasu nu suwos.
To them we did not yield submission even for an hour, in order that the truth of the gospel might abide unshaken among you.
6 A elos su srulun mwet kol inmasrlolos — nga fahk ouinge mweyen oana sie sik elos finne mwet kol ku tia; mweyen God El tia sulosol mwet. Aok, mwet kol ingan nga ku in fahk mu wanginna nunak sasu elos fahk tuh sie liki na ma nga oru.
But those in authority - what they once were makes no difference to me; God is no respecter of persons - those I say who were in authority had no additions to make my message.
7 Tuh elos liye lah God El ase ku nu sik in fahkak wosasu nu sin mwet pegan, in oana ke El sang nu sel Peter elan fahkak wosasu nu sin mwet Jew.
On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter has with the gospel for the circumcised
8 Mweyen ke ku lun God El oru tuh ngan mwet sap nu sin mwet pegan, oana ke Peter el orekla in mwet sap nu sin mwet Jew.
(for he who has equipped Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised, equipped me also for the apostleship to the Gentiles),
9 James, Peter, ac John, su pa mwet kol lun u sac, elos akilen lah God El srisrngiyuwi in oru orekma se inge; ouinge elos usrusrpo nu sik ac Barnabas in akkalemye lah kut nukewa tukeni sie sin sie in orekma. Kut insesela mu nga Barnabas in orekma yurinmwet pegan, ac elos in orekma yurin mwet Jew.
and when they recognized the grace which had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, then thought to be pillars, gave to Barnabas and to me the right hand of fellowship. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the Jews.
10 Pwayena ma elos wili sesr pa kut in esam mwet sukasrup lalos, su nuna pa ingan ma nga ke oru.
They stipulated only that we should remember the poor, which very thing indeed I was quite eager to do.
11 A ke Peter el tuku nu Antioch, nga lainul ye mutun mwet lulalfongi nukewa, ke sripen kalem na lah el tafongla.
But when Cephas came to Antioch I resisted him to his face, because he stood self-condemned.
12 Meet liki kutu mwet uh tuku yorol James me, Peter el tuh mongo yurin kutu mwet pegan su ekla mwet lulalfongi. A tukun mwet ingan tuku, el srella ac tila wi mwet inge mongo, mweyen el sangeng selos su fahk mu mwet pegan su lulalfongi, elos enenu in kosreyukla.
For until certain men came from James he used to eat with the Gentile Christians, but when they came, he began to draw back and to separate himself, because he was afraid of the circumcision party.
13 Mwet lili saya sin mwet Jew uh elos oapana Peter, wikwik in orekma ke sripen elos sangeng. Finne Barnabas, el wela pacna usren orekma lalos.
And the rest of the Jewish Christians also dissimulated with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.
14 Ke nga liye lah elos tia fahsr suwohs fal nu ke mwe luti pwaye lun wosasu, nga fahk nu sel Peter ye mutalos nukewa, “Kom sie mwet Jew, a kom moul oana sie mwet pegan ac tia oana mwet Jew uh. Na efu ku kom srike in akkohsye mwet pegan in moul oana mwet Jew?”
But when I saw that they were not walking a straight path, in the presence of the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all. "If you, although you are a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, why do you try to compel the Gentiles to become Jews?
15 Kut mwet Jew na pwaye mweyen kut isusla sin mwet Jew ac tia sin mwet pegan, su pangpang “mwet koluk.”
"We are Jews by birth, and not ‘Gentile sinners’;
16 Tusruktu kut etu lah God El aksuwosye sie mwet ke sripen lulalfongi lal in Jesus Christ, ac tia ke el akos ma sap lun Moses. Kut pac, kut lulalfongi ke Christ Jesus tuh kut fah ku in aksuwosyeyuk ye mutun God ke sripen lulalfongi lasr in Christ, ac tia ke sripen kut akfalye Ma Sap uh. Tuh wangin mwet aksuwosyeyuk ye mutun God el finne akos Ma Sap.
"yet because we know that no man is justified by the works of the Law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, we ourselves also have put our faith in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the Law; for "By the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified."
17 Na ke kut suk in aksuwosyeyuk kut ye mutun God ke kut asruoki yurin Christ, ac fin koneyukyak lah kut oru ma koluk oana mwet pegan, na fuka — ya kalmac pa Christ el kulansupu ma koluk? Tiana ku in ouinge!
But if while seeking to be justified in Christ we ourselves also have been found to be sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin? Far from it!
18 Nga ac fin sifil folokonak ma nga tuh lain meet, na nga sifacna fahkyuyak lah nga sie mwet lain Ma Sap.
For if I am rebuilding the very things which I destroyed, I am proving myself a transgressor.
19 Tusruktu, nga misa tari nu ke ku lun Ma Sap — aok, Ma Sap uh sifacna uniyuwi — ac ma inge sikyak tuh nga fah moul nu sin God.
For it is through law I died to law, in order to live to God.
20 Nga wi Christ misa tari fin sakseng lal, ouinge ke pacl sac me tia nga pa moul, a Christ su moul in nga. Moul su nga moulkin inge, nga moul ke lulalfongi ke Wen nutin God, su lungse nga ac sifacna asang moul lal keik.
I have been crucified with Christ, so it is no longer I who am living, but it is Christ who is living in me; and the life I am now living in the flesh, I am living in faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
21 Nga tia lungse aklusrongtenye lungkulang lun God. Tuh sie mwet fin aksuwosyeyuk nu sin God ke Ma Sap, na kalmac pa wangin sripen misa lun Christ.
I do not annul the grace of God; for if righteousness comes by way of the Law, then indeed Christ died Christ for nothing.
