And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too small for us.

Let us go, we pray thee, to Jordan, and take from there every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
3 Sie selos kwafe tuh Elisha elan welulos som, ac el insese nu sel,
And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.
4 na elos tukeni mukuiyak. Ke elos sun Infacl Jordan, elos mutawauk orekma.
So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.

But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.
6 Elisha el siyuk, “Putatla ya?” Mukul sac srisrngiya nu sel acn sac, na Elisha el pakela polosak se ac sisla nu insac, na sifen tula soko ah pahtak.
And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in there; and made the axe head float.
7 El sap, “Sruokya.” Na mukul sac saplakla srukak.
Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.
8 Tokosra lun Syria el mweun lain Israel. El pwapa yurin mwet leum lun mwet mweun lal, ac sulela sie acn elos in aktuktuk we.
Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
9 Tuh Elisha el supwala kas nu sin tokosra lun Israel in sensenkunul elan tia som apkuran nu in acn sac, mweyen mwet mweun lun Syria elos wikwik soanelos we.
And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for there the Syrians have come down.
10 Ouinge tokosra lun Israel el fahkang ma inge nu sin mwet Israel su muta in acn sac, elos in ngusrikyak ac akola. Ouiya se inge sikyak pacl pus.
And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
11 Tokosra Syria el arulana kasrkusrak ke lumah se inge. El pangoneni mwet leum lun un mwet mweun lal ac siyuk selos, “Su kac suwos wi layen lun tokosra Israel uh?”
Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said to them, Will ye not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?
12 Sie selos topuk, “Tia sie sesr. Mwet palu Elisha pa muta fahk nu sin tokosra lun Israel ma nukewa ma kom fahk uh, finne ma fwack in lukma infukil sum an.”
And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
13 Na tokosra el sapkin, “Sokolak lah el oasr ya, nga in sruokilya.” Ke fwackyang nu sel lah Elisha el oasr in acn Dothan,
And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and bring him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.
14 tokosra el supwala un mwet mweun na lulap se nu we wi horse ac chariot. Elos sun acn we ke fong, ac kuhlusya acn sac.
Therefore he sent there horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and surrounded the city.

And when the servant of the man of God had risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host surrounded the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 Elisha el topuk, “Nimet sangeng. Pus mwet wi kut lukelos.”
And he answered, Fear not: for they that are with us are more than they that are with them.
17 Na el pre, “O LEUM GOD, ikasla mutal elan ku in liye!” LEUM GOD El topuk pre lal, ac mwet kulansap lal Elisha el ngetak ac liye lah pe eol uh sessesla ke horse ac chariot e, raunella Elisha.
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha.
18 Ke mwet Syria elos oatui in lainulos, Elisha el pre, “O LEUM GOD, konela mutun mwet inge.” LEUM GOD El topuk pre lal, ac konela mutalos.
And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19 Na Elisha el som nu yorolos ac fahk, “Tafongla inkanek lowos an. Tia pa inge siti se kowos suk an. Fahsr tukuk ac nga fah pwen kowos nu yurin mwet se kowos suk an.” Ac el kololosla nu Samaria.
And Elisha said to them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
20 Pacl se na ma elos utyak nu in siti ah, Elisha el pre ac fahk, “LEUM GOD, ikasla mutalos elos in liye.” LEUM GOD El lohng pre lal, ac ikasla mutalos ac elos liye tuh na elos oasr in acn Samaria.
And it came to pass, when they had come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.
21 Ke pacl se tokosra lun Israel el liye mwet Syria inge, el siyuk sel Elisha, “Ku nga ac uniya mwet Syria inge? Nga ac onelosi?”
And the king of Israel said to Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?
22 El topuk, “Mo. Finne mwet mweun su kom sruokya ke mweun, kom ac tia uniya. Sang kutu ma elos in kang ac nim, ac lela elos in folokla nu yurin tokosra lalos.”
And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.
23 Ouinge tokosra Israel el orala kufwa na yohk se nu selos, na tukun elos mongo ac nim tari, el supwalosla nu yurin tokosra Syria. Tukun pacl sac me, mwet Syria tia sifil orek lokoalok nu sin mwet Israel.
And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.
24 In kutu pacl tok, Tokosra Benhadad lun Syria el us mwet mweun lal nukewa in lain Israel, ac kuhlusya siti Samaria.
And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up, and besieged Samaria.

And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.
26 Tokosra lun Israel el forfor fin pot in siti uh ke mutan se wola nu sel ac fahk, “O Tokosra, kasreyu!”
And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman to him, saying, Help, my lord, O king.
27 Ac tokosra el topuk, “LEUM GOD El fin tia kasrekom, kasru fuka nga ac ku in oru nu sum? Ku mea, oasr wheat ku wain yuruk?
And he said, If the LORD doth not help thee, how shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?
28 Mea elya lom an?” Mutan sac topuk, “In kutu len somla mutan se inge pwapa nu sik kut in kangla tulik se nutik, na len tok ah kut fah kangla tulik natul ah.
And the king said to her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said to me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.
29 Na kut akmolyela wen se nutik ac kangla, na len tok ah nga fahk nu sel kut in kangla wen natul ah, a el okanulla!”
So we boiled my son, and ate him: and I said to her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.
30 Ke tokosra el lohng ma inge, el arulana toasrla ac salik nuknuk lal, ac mwet ma muta fototo nu ke pot ah ku in liye lah el nukum nuknuk yohk eoa se ye nuknuk lal ah.
And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he tore his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth beneath upon his flesh.
31 Tokosra el liksreni fahk, “Lela LEUM GOD Elan uniyuwi ngan misa, fin tia tahtla kwawal Elisha meet liki fongeni!”
Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.
32 Ac el supwala mwet se in tuh usalu Elisha. In pacl sacna, Elisha el muta inkul sel wi mwet matu su tuku nu yorol. But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man from before him: but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent to take away my head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master’s feet behind him?
33 El tufahna fahkla ma inge na tokosra el sun acn we, ac fahk, “LEUM GOD pa use mwe lokoalok inge nu facsr uh! Mea pac kut ac soanel nu kac an?”
And while he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger came down to him: and he said, Behold, this evil is from the LORD; why should I wait for the LORD any longer?
