1 In kutu pacl tok un mwet mweun lun acn Moab ac Ammon, wi mwet Meunim su welulosyang, elos tuku mweuni acn Judah.
It happened after this, that the people of Moab, and the people of Ammon, and with them some of the Meunites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.
2 Oasr mwet utuk kas tuku ac fahk nu sel Tokosra Jehoshaphat, “Sie un mwet mweun lulap lun acn Edom tuku lafalyat ke Meoa Misa in mweuni kom. Elos sruokya tari acn Hazazon Tamar.” (Sie pac inen acn se ingan pa Engedi.)
Then some came who told Jehoshaphat, saying, "A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea from Edom. Look, they are in Hazazon Tamar" (that is, En Gedi).
3 Jehoshaphat el sangeng, ac el pre nu sin LEUM GOD in suk kasru. Na el sap mwet in mutunfacl sac nufon in lalo.
Jehoshaphat was alarmed, and set himself to seek to the LORD. He proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
4 Mwet in siti nukewa lun Judah elos sulaklak tuku nu Jerusalem in siyuk kasru sin LEUM GOD.
Judah gathered themselves together, to seek help from the LORD. They came out of all the cities of Judah to seek the LORD.
5 Na mwet Jerusalem ac mwet nukewa tuku saya me elos tukeni nu ke acn in tukeni sasu oan likin Tempul. Tokosra Jehoshaphat el som tu ye mutalos,
Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court;
6 ac el pre, “O LEUM GOD lun papa tumasr, kom muta inkusrao ac leum fin mutunfacl nukewa. Kom arulana fulat ac ku; ac wangin mwet ku in lain kom.
and he said, "O LORD, the God of our fathers, aren't you God in heaven? Aren't you ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in your hand, so that no one is able to withstand you.
7 Kom God lasr. Ke mwet lom Israel tuku nu in acn se inge, kom lusla mwet su muta inge, ac sang acn uh nu sin fita lal Abraham, mwet kawuk lom, in ma lalos ma pahtpat.
Did you not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?
8 Elos nuna muta inge ac musaela sie tempul in akfulatye kom, ke sripen elos etu
They lived in it, and have built you a sanctuary in it for your name, saying,
9 lah fin oasr mwe lokoalok lulap sikyak nu selos — ke mweun, ku mas upa, ku sracl — na elos ac ku in tuku ac tu ke mutun Tempul se inge, yen mwet uh alu nu sum we. Elos ac pre nu sum ke mwe lokoalok sikyak nu selos, na kom ac porongalos ac molelosla.
'If evil comes on us—the sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine—we will stand before this house, and before you, (for your name is in this house), and cry to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.'
10 “Inge mwet Ammon, mwet Moab, ac mwet Edom elos mweuni kut. Ke pacl se papa tumasr elos ilme liki acn Egypt, kom tia lela elos in utyak nu in acn ingan. Na papa tumasr elos kuhfla liki acn selos inge, ac tia kunauselosla.
Now, look, the people of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned aside from them, and did not destroy them;
11 Na inge elos folokin nu sesr ke ouiya se inge — elos tuku in liskutla liki acn se inge, su kom tuh ase nu sesr.
look, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.
12 Kom God lasr! Sang kai fal nu selos, mweyen kut tia ku in lain un mwet mweun na lulap se su mweuni kut inge. Kut tia etu lah mea kut ac oru, na pa kut nget nu sum in kasre kut.”
Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do, but our eyes are on you."
13 Mukul nukewa in acn Judah, wi mutan kialos ac tulik natulos, elos tu ke mutun Tempul.
All Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
14 Ngun lun LEUM GOD ilyak nu in sie mwet Levi su muta inmasrlon u lulap sac. Inel pa Jahaziel, wen natul Zechariah. El sie sin mwet in sou lal Asaph, mweyen el ma in fwil natul Mattaniah, Jeiel, ac Benaiah, su fita lal Asaph.
Then the Ruach of the LORD came on Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly;
15 Jahaziel el fahk, “Leum Fulat, ac mwet nukewa lun Judah ac Jerusalem, LEUM GOD El fahk tuh kowos in tia fosrnga ku sangeng in lain un mwet mweun na pus se inge. Mweun uh oan inpoun God, ac tia inpouwos.
and he said, "Listen, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you king Jehoshaphat. Thus says the LORD to you, 'Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

Tomorrow go down against them. Look, they are coming up by the ascent of Ziz. You shall find them at the end of the valley, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

You will not need to fight this battle. Set yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed. Go out against them tomorrow, for the LORD is with you.'"
18 Na Tokosra Jehoshaphat el srimi nwe ten ac mutal sun infohk ah, ac mwet nukewa welul srimi ac alu nu sin LEUM GOD.
Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
19 Mwet Levi in sou lal Kohath ac Korah elos tuyak ac wola ke sie pusra lulap, ac kaksakin LEUM GOD lun Israel.
The Levites, of the descendants of the Kohathites and of the descendants of the Korahites, stood up to praise the LORD, the God of Israel, with an exceeding loud voice.

Lulalfongi ma mwet palu lal an fahk nu suwos, na ac fah wo ouiya nu suwos.”
They rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in the LORD your God, so you will be established. Believe his prophets, and you will prosper."

When he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and give praise in holy array, as they went out before the army, and say, Give thanks to the LORD; for his loving kindness endures forever.
22 Ke elos mutawauk in on, LEUM GOD El arulana akfohsyauk mwet mweun ma tuku in lainulos.
When they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushers against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were struck.
23 Mwet Ammon ac mwet Moab elos forang lain mwet Edom, ac onelosla nufon. Na elos forani amweuni inmasrlolos sifacna.
For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, utterly to kill and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to destroy another.
24 Ke mwet mweun lun Judah elos sun sie tower su oan yen mwesis, elos ngetla nu yen mweun orek we ac liye tuh na mwet nukewa topelik infohk ah misa, ac wanginna sie selos kaingla.
When Judah came to the place overlooking the wilderness, they looked at the multitude; and look, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and there were none who escaped.
25 Jehoshaphat ac mwet lal ah fahsryak in eis ma wap, ac elos liye lah pukanten cow, mwe mongo, nuknuk, ac kutu pac ma yohk sripa. Elos sisla len tolu in orani ma wap, ac ke arulana pukanten elos tia ku in us nufon.
When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take their spoil, they found among them in abundance both riches and dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in taking the spoil, it was so much.

On the fourth day they assembled themselves in the Valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of that place was called The Valley of Berachah to this day.
27 Jehoshaphat el kol un mwet mweun lal ac folokla nu Jerusalem ke engan lulap, mweyen LEUM GOD El kutangla fin mwet lokoalok lalos.
Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in their forefront, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
28 Ke elos sun siti uh, elos alla na nwe ke Tempul, wi pusren on ke harp ac mwe ukuk.
They came to Jerusalem with stringed instruments and harps and trumpets to the house of the LORD.
29 Mutunfacl nukewa su lohng ke LEUM GOD El kutangla mwet lokoalok lun mwet Israel, elos arulana sangeng.
The fear of God was on all the kingdoms of the countries, when they heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.
30 Ouinge Jehoshaphat el leum in misla, ac God El oru in oasr misla inmasrlol ac facl nukewa su apnulla.
So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet; for his God gave him rest all around.
31 Jehoshaphat el tokosrala fin acn Judah ke el yac tolngoul limekosr, ac el leum in Jerusalem ke lusen yac longoul limekosr. Inen nina kial ah pa Azubah, acn natul Shilhi.
Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
32 Jehoshaphat el oru ma suwohs ye mutun LEUM GOD, oana ke Asa, papa tumal, el oru.
He walked in the way of Asa his father, and did not turn aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD.

However the high places were not taken away; neither as yet had the people set their hearts to the God of their fathers.
34 Ma nukewa saya ma Jehoshaphat el oru, ke mutaweyen pacl el tokosra nwe ke safla, simla ke [Sramsram Matu lal Jehu Wen Natul Hanani, ] su oasr in [Sramsram Matu ke Tokosra lun Israel.]
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, look, they are written in the history of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is inserted in the book of the kings of Israel.
35 Sie pacl ah Tokosra Jehoshaphat el orala sie pwapa in akupasri nu sel Ahaziah, tokosra lun acn Israel, su oru ma koluk na pus.
After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined himself with Ahaziah king of Israel. The same did very wickedly:
