1 Wathesalonike 5
1 Henu, kwa habari sya muda ni nyakati, ndhongo, iyelepi haja Kujo kenu kihoakela kiyandikibhwa kwa yhomo.
NOW concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I should write to you:
2 kwa ndabha ya muenga mwayhomo mmanyili kiusahihi kujo magono gha Bwana ghihida kama mm'eji paihida pakilu.
for yourselves know precisely that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 pala pabhijoba kuye” Amani ni usalama”, ndo pauhalibifu pawihida ghafula. Ndo kawawa ukamkabha mabhu mwenye luleme. bhabhiye puka hee kwa njela yioayela.
For when they say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction rusheth upon them, as travail on a woman with child, and they shall in no wise escape.
4 Lakini muenga, ndhongo muyelepi mukitita hata ligono elu libhahidilai Kama mm'eji.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Kwa ndabha muenga mwabhoa ni Bhana bha nuru ni bhana bha pamusi. Tete sio bhana bhapakilu au bhamkitita.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of day: we are not the children of night, nor of darkness.
6 Elu basu, tusigoni Kama bhamana kabhigona. Bali tukeshai ni kuya makini.
Let us not then sleep as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 Kwa ndabha by bhabhigona bhigona pakilu na bhabigala bhigala pakilu.
For they who sleep, sleep in the night, and they who are drunken, are drunken in the night;
8 Kwa ndabha tete Ndo bhana bhapamusi, tuyelai makini. Tufwalai ngao ya imani ni upendo, na, kofia ya lichuma, ambayo ndo bhwokovu wa magono ghaghihida.
but let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
9 Kwa ndabha kyala atuchaguililepi muandi kwajia ya gadhabu, bali kwakutupela bhuokovu kwa njela ya Bwana Yesu Kristu.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Muene ndo atufwelili ili kwa ndabha, tukayelai mihu au tugonili, tulaishi pamonga ni muene.
who died for us, that whether we sleep, or whether we wake, we may live together with him.
11 Kwa hiyo, mjifalijiayi ni kujibhomba yhomo kwa yhomo, kama ambafyo kammalili kuketa.
Wherefore comfort one another, and edify one another, as also ye do.
12 Ndhongo, tukabhasoma mbhatambulai bhala bhahitumika miongoni mwa yhomo ni bhala bhabha yelae panani pa muenga kup'etela Bwana na bhabhi shauri bhala.
Now we entreat you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and preside over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13 Tukabhasoma kabhele mbhatambulai ni kubhapela heshima kwa upendo ndabha ya mbhombho yabhi. Muyela ni amani miongoni mwa yhomo.
and to account of them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And live in peace among yourselves.
14 Tukabhasii, ndhongo: mubhaonyai bhabhilotalepi molimoli, mbhapelai miteema yabhakatili tamaa, mbhasaidilai bhabhayele bhayonge, muyelai mm'bhavumilivu kwa bhoa.
Now we conjure you, brethren, admonish the unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the infirm, be patient with all men.
15 Mulangai akotokuya munu yuoayola yailepa libaya kwa libaya kwa munu yuoayola. Badala yake, mfwanyai ghaghayele ni mema kwakila mmonga bhinu ni bhanu bhoa.
See that no man return evil for evil to any man; but always pursue that which is good, both towards one another, and towards all men.
16 Muhobholelai magono ghoa.
Rejoice evermore.
17 Musomai bila kukoma.
Pray without ceasing.
18 Munshukulai kyala kwa lijambo, kwandabha agha ghoa ndo mapenzi gha kyala kwayhomo kup'etela Yesu Kristu.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-wards.
19 Msiuyemeki Roho.
Quench not the Spirit.
20 Msiudhalau bhunabii.
Despise not prophesyings.
21 Mghajalibuayi mambo ghoa. Mlikamulai laliyele liyema.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Mjiyepusiayi kwa lalibhonekana kiuovu.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 kyala wa amani abhakamilisiayi kup'etela utakatifu. Roho, nafsi ni mbhele vifunzibhwai papayehe ni mawaa kwa kuhida Bwana wayhoto Yesu Kristu.
Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved faultless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Muene ya abhakutili ndo muaminifu, muene ndo wakuliketa.
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
25 Ndhongo, mtusomelai kabhele.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Mbhasalimilai bhalongo bhoa kwa libusu lakitakatifu.
Salute all the brethren with an holy kiss.
27 Nikabhasii kup'etela Bwana kuwa barua eye isomebhua you kwa bhalongo bhangu bhoa.
I conjure you by the Lord, that this epistle be read to all the holy brethren.
28 Neema ya Bwana Yesu Kristu iyelai pamonga ni muenga.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. The first epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.
