And they came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gadarenes,
2 U Yiisu vu ikhoma mu mbwato, umunu unya mepo imbivi akhincha khumwene vuikhomela khumapumba.
and He having come forth out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 U munu tamaga khumapumba. Asikholi aveawesinche ukhunsiga. Akhongiwe mara khingi ne minyololo.
who had his dwelling in the tombs, and not even with chains was anyone able to bind him,
4 Akhagedumula eminyololo asikholi uveale na makha agakhuntola.
because that many times he had been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been pulled in pieces by him, and the shackles broken in pieces, and none was able to tame him,
5 Pakhelo na pamusi vu alekhumapumba na hufyamba, alekhulela nu khwetema na mawe amakhali.
and always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying and cutting himself with stones.
6 Vwu ambwene u Yiisu khuvutali, akhanyilela khumwene nu khungundama khumwene.
And having seen Jesus from afar, he ran and prostrated to Him,
7 Akhovela khulimenyu elivakha, “Akhata vwinongwa ukhungakha kheli, u Yiisu, va Nswambe va Nguluve uve ale khukyanya? Nikhohodova khwa Nguluve uste, ukhungatancha.”
and having called with a loud voice, he said, “What [regards] me and You, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I adjure You by God, may You not afflict me!”
8 Ulwa khuva ambolile, “Khuma khu munu oya, ve mepo imbivi.”
For He said to him, “Come forth, unclean spirit, out of the man!”
9 Umwene akhambuncha, “Elitawa lyakho veni?” Pwu akhanda akhata, “Elitawa lyango ne Legion, ulwakhuva tule vingi.”
And He was questioning him, “What [is] your name?” And he answered, saying, “Legion [is] my name, because we are many”;
10 Akhandela ukhudova ukhuta asite ukhung'elekha khuvutali.
and he was calling on Him much, that He may not send them out of the region.
11 Pale ni ngube nchindebelenchwa pakhyamba,
And there was there, near the mountains, a great herd of pigs feeding,
12 Pwu vakhadova, ukhuta, “Utusukhe khungube; twingile huchene.”
and all the demons called on Him, saying, “Send us to the pigs, that into them we may enter”;
13 Pwu akhavedekha; imepo imbivi nchakhahoma nu khwingela mu ngube, pwu nchikhanyilela mu nyanja, nchale ingube elfu mbili nchicho nchaingile mu nyanja.
and immediately Jesus gave them leave, and having come forth, the unclean spirits entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep place to the sea—and they were about two thousand—and they were choked in the sea.
14 Na vavo vanchidemaga ingube vakhanyila khuhavavola khehyo pa khelunga. Pwu avanu vingi vakhehomya ukhuluta khwilola ekhehomile.
And those feeding the pigs fled, and told in the city, and in the fields, and they came forth to see what it is that has been done;
15 Pwu vakhincha khwa Yiisu vakhambona umunu unyamepo- imbiviuveale ne jeshi — atamile pasi, afyalile, alenulukhala lunonu pwu vakhadwada.
and they come to Jesus, and see the demoniac, sitting, and clothed, and right-minded—him having had the legion—and they were afraid;
16 Vavo valolile khekhyo khehomile khu munu uveakhale ni mwepo imbivi vakhambula ekhehomile khumwene na khu ngube.
and those having seen [it], declared to them how it had come to pass to the demoniac, and about the pigs;
17 Vovikhondova akhege mu khelunga kya vene.
and they began to call on Him to go away from their borders.
18 Vwu ikhwingela mumbwato, u munu unyamepo mbivi akhadova alotage paninie nu mwene.
And He having gone into the boat, the demoniac was calling on Him that he may be with Him,
19 Akhasita ukhumwedekha, akhata, “Lutaga khuvunchenge vwakho na khuvanu vakho, ukhavavole ungaakhovombile Utwa, nu luhungu uuakhopile.”
and Jesus did not permit him, but says to him, “Go away to your house, to your own [friends], and tell them how the LORD did great things to you, and dealt kindly with you”;
20 Pwu akhaluta nu khutengula ukhupanga imbombo imbakha nchocho u Yiisu anchivombile khumwene khu Dekapoli, khela munu akhaswiga.
and he went away, and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how Jesus did great things to him, and all were wondering.
21 U Yiisu vualowikhe emwambo eyenge, mu mbwato, lulundamano lukhalundamano au hunchungutela, vu alepalukhanchi pa nyanja.
And Jesus having passed over in the boat again to the other side, there was gathered a great multitude to Him, and He was near the sea,
22 Pwu undongonchi yomo va sinsgogi, atambuliwawa Yailo, akhinche, vu ambwene akhagwa mumalunde ga Yiisu.
and behold, there comes one of the chiefs of the synagogue, by name Jairus, and having seen Him, he falls at His feet,
23 Akhansima akhata, “Umwana vango udebe alepakhufwa. Nikhokhodova, winche umbekhele ifivokho pamwene, apate ukhupona.”
and he was calling on Him much, saying, “My little daughter is at the last extremity—that having come, You may lay on her [Your] hands, so that she may be saved, and she will live”;
24 Pwu akhaluta nave, nu lulundamano lukhankonga nu khunchungutila.
and He went away with him. And there was following Him a great multitude, and they were thronging Him,
25 Pale nu ndlaa uvegwakhumaga unkisa emiakha kumi na miwili. Agatanchiwe, nu khuyaveliwa na vingi akhominche khela khenu khekhyo alenakhyo.
and a certain woman, being with a flow of blood [for] twelve years,
26 Saapate uvwavule, pwu akhendelela ukhuva ne khali mbivi. Akhapulikha elimenyu ly Yiisu.
and having suffered many things under many physicians, and having spent all that she had, and having profited nothing, but rather having come to the worse,
27 Pwu akhincha khunsana khwa Yiisu vu ingenda mu lulundamano, akhibata eligwanda lya mwene.
having heard about Jesus, having come in the multitude behind, she touched His garment,
28 Ulwa khuva anchovile, “Ingave ningabate eligwanda lya mwene, niva neponile.”
for she said, “If I may even touch His garments, I will be saved”;
29 Voibite, unkisa gukhelekhe lwa ukhuhuma, pwu akhepulekha mu mbele ukhuta aponile mbugatanchiwa wa mwene.
and immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she knew in the body that she has been healed of the plague.
30 Pwu u Yiisu akhalumanya ukhuta amakha gapungwikhe. Akhasyetukha khunu na khunu ndulundamano lwa vanu akhavoncha, “Veni uveanyibite eligwanda lyango?”
And immediately Jesus having known in Himself that power had gone forth out of Him, having turned in the multitude, said, “Who touched My garments?”
31 Avankongi va mwene vakhata, “Wilola ululundamano lukhunchungulile, nuve wita, “Veni uveakhwibite?'”
And His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, Who touched Me!”
32 U Yiisu akhalola khunu na khunu ukhulola yoywa amwibite.
And He was looking around to see her who did this,
33 Undala vualumanyile ekhevombikhe khumwene, akhadwada nu khutetema. Akhincha nu khugwa pasi pamwene nu khumbula elweli yoni.
and the woman, having been afraid, and trembling, knowing what was done on her, came, and fell down before Him, and told Him all the truth,
34 Akhata khumwene, “Ulwidikho lwakho lakhopokhile. Lutaga nu lunonchehecho apone ekhetamu khyaho.”
and He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you; go away in peace, and be whole from your plague.”
35 Vwu inchova, avange avanu vakhincha ukhuhuma khu ndongonchi va Sinagogi, valekhuta, “Umwalevo afyile. Khehi vukhugatancha umanyisi?”
As He is yet speaking, there come from the chief of the synagogue’s [house, certain], saying, “Your daughter died, why do you still harass the Teacher?”
36 Pwu u Yiisu vuapulikhe khekhyo khinchoviwa, akhambula undongonchi va Sinagogi, “Osite ukhudwada. Wedekhe.”
And Jesus immediately, having heard the word that is spoken, says to the chief of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid, only believe.”
37 Sahamwedekha yeyoni ukhulongonchana nave, akhava nu Peteli, Yakobo nu Yohani, alokhololwe va Yakobo.
And He did not permit anyone to follow with Him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James;
38 Vakhincha mumbonchenge uvwa ndongonchi va Sinagogi, vope akhavono vilela.
and He comes into the house of the chief of the synagogue, and sees a tumult, much weeping and wailing;
39 Vuingile mbunchenge, akhavavola, “Kheli msosovile, kheli mwilela? Umwana safwile agonelile.”
and having gone in He says to them, “Why do you make a tumult, and weep? The child did not die, but sleeps”;
40 Vakhang'eha, umwene, akhavahomya voni khunji, akhantola udada va mwana nu vanine navavo vakhele nu mwene, akhingela umwalemo umwana.
and they were laughing at Him. And He, having put all forth, takes the father of the child, and the mother, and those with Him, and goes in where the child is lying,
41 Akhatetola ekhevoho kya mwana akhata, “Talitha koum, “khuhuta, “Mwana ndebe, nikhohovola, sisimukha.”
and having taken the hand of the child, He says to her, “Talitha cumi”; which is, being interpreted, “Girl (I say to you), arise.”
42 Umwana akhasisismukha nu khugenda (ulwa khuva ale ne miakha kumi na mbili). Pwu vakhava vanu va khudega.
And immediately the girl arose, and was walking, for she was twelve years [old]; and they were amazed with a great amazement,
43 Akhava lagela ukhuta asikholi ovinogiwa ukhulemanya elevombikhe. Akhavavola vampe umwana ekyakhulya.
and He charged them much, that no one may know this thing, and He said that there be given to her to eat.
