< Lukha 14 >

1 Yahumile isikhu iya Sabato, pu avile iluta khu njengo khwa munu yumo aviale imbaha va Mafarisayo kwilya ikhisyesye avene valikhundolela pa wipi.
And it came to pass on the going of Him into a house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a Sabbath to eat bread and they themselves were watching Him.
2 Lola, pavulongolo pa mwene pale nu munu uviagatanchiwaga nu vufimbe.
And behold a man certain there was with dropsy before Him.
3 U Yisu avunchi nje khu vamanya ndagilo va Vayahudi na Vamafalisayo, “Lino, lweli ukhuponniya isikhu iya sikhu iya Sabato, lino lweli?”
And answering Jesus spoke to the lawyers and to [the] Pharisees saying; (if *k) Is it lawful on the Sabbath (to heal *N+kO) (or not? *NO)
4 Pi avene vakhava mye, pu uYisu akhamwibata, akhaponiya nu khupa uvugatalufu akhavuya khu myave.
But they were silent. And having taken hold [of him] He healed him and let [him] go.
5 Umwene akhavavula, “Veni umunu khulyumwe uvi ali nu mwana isenga iyiyingile mukhihulu ikya magasi isikhu iya Sabato sakha khwege khuuchi na mbivi?”
And (answering *k) to them He said; Which of you (a son *N+KO) or an ox into a pit (will collapse, *N+kO) also surely immediately he will pull up him on day the Sabbath?
6 Avene savakhava ne lwakhuunchova khukhuhumya ilijibu khu mbombo yoni.
And not they were able to reply (to him *k) to these things.
7 Usikhi uYisu alumanyile ukhuta vala avilangiwe vave vanchaguliwe alumanyile ukhuta vala avilangiwe vave vanchaguliwe, ifigoda ifya ifidwadiwa akhavavula ikhikhwani, akhavavula,
He was speaking then to those invited a parable remarking how the first places they were choosing out, saying to them;
8 “Usikhi vuvikhuhwilanga khuvutolani, ulekhe ukhutama khuvavaha, ulwakhuva khwale umunu umbaha uvevi khudwada avanu voni.
When you may be invited by anyone to wedding feasts, not may recline in the first place, otherwise otherwise [one] more honorable than you may have been invited by him,
9 Usikhi umunu uviavilangile umwe mwivavili angafikhe, ikhukhuvula uve, hega umunu uyu itama apa, nu ve vuhega khusoni soni, vutengula ukhuluta khutama khu vumalilo.
and having come the [one] you and him having invited he will say to you; do give to this one [your] place. and then you will begin with shame the last place to take.
10 Pu uve vangakhwilange, luta ukhatame khuvumalilo nu sikhi ugu umunu akhwilangile khululundamano vuinchile akhuvule, gwe higo, injango luta khuvulongolo ukhulutilila, `Pu wiva akhwimikhe khuvolongolo ukhulutilila voni avatamile nu mwene pa mesa.
But when you may be invited, having gone (do recline *N+kO) in the last place, so that when may come the [one] having invited you, (he will say *N+kO) to you; Friend, do come up higher. Then will be to you glory before (all *NO) those reclining [with] you.
11 Ulwakhuva uviikhiyinula ayikhwisiwa, nu vikhwikha ayikhwinuliwa. '
For everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, and the [one] humbling himself will be exalted.
12 Pu uYisu ambulile umunu uviamwilangile, 'Vuwihumya ikyakhula ikya pamusi na khukhimihe, ulekhe ukwilanga avaninyo nu valukhololwo nakho, avamubadihine vakho, avambadihine vakho na vatayili, ulwakhuva wita vinche vakhwilange nu yuve khukhwupila uluhombo.
He was saying then also to the [one] having invited Him; When you may make a dinner or a supper, not do call the friends of you nor [call] the brothers of you nor [call] the relatives of you nor [call] neighbours rich otherwise otherwise also they themselves may invite in return you and it may become recompense to you.
13 Pu lino, w wovuvomba uluhekhelo, uvalondage avalemilwe avaganchu avasavigenda na vasavilola.
But when a feast you may make do call [the] poor, [the] crippled, [the] lame, [the] blind.
14 pu uve wiva insayiwa, ulwakhuva savakhakhuhombe. Pu uve ulahombwa khuvunchukhwa uwa nyavulweli.”
and blessed you will be, because nothing they have to repay you; It will be recompensed for to you in the resurrection of the righteous.
15 Usikhi gumo khuvala avatamile pa mesa paniniye nu Yisu avile apulikhe ago, nu mwene akhavavula, “Asayiwe ula uviyakhiva ilya ikhi syesye khu Vutwa wa Nguluve!”
Having heard then one of those reclining with [Him] these things he said to Him; Blessed [is he] (who *N+kO) will eat (bread *NK+o) in the kingdom of God.
16 Pu uYisu akhavavula, “Umunu umo aitesaninche ukhuvikha uluhekhelo uluvakha alundenine avanu avingi.
But He said to him; A man certain (was preparing *N+kO) a supper great and invited many;
17 Vu usikhi ugwa luhekhelo gufikhe, asuhile umbombi va mwene ukhavavule vala avanilangile, `'Mwinchage, ulwakhuva ifinu fyoni fivekhiwe nu khwincha khwilya.
And he sent the servant of him at the hour of the supper to say to those invited; do come, for now ready [it] is (all things. *KO)
18 Voni, vakhatengula ukhudova uvusikhilo. Uvakhwancha akhanjova, 'Imbaha, nigulile ikyalo, niluta khwilola. Nikhukhudova usikhile.'
And began with one [voice] all to excuse themselves. The first said to him; A field I have bought and I have need (going out *N+kO) (and *k) to see it; I beg of you, do hold me excused.
19 Nu yunge akhanchova, negulile isenga incha khulimila niluta khukhugala ndanchilima, nidova uvusyekhilo.'
And another said; Yoke of oxen I have bought five and I am going to prove them; I beg of you do hold me excused.
20 Umunu uyunge akhanchova akhata, 'Nilinuwinga saniwesya ukhundakha udala vango mwene sanikhinche.'
And another said; A wife I have married and because of this not I am able to come.
21 Umbaha akhavuya khumyave nu khumbula utwa va mwene imbombo incho. Umunu uva vuujenge uwa avipile, akhavavula avambombo va mwene, `'Mulutage munchila ujoni na nduhengo munjengo mukhavalete apa, avaganchu, avalemilwe, avasavilola, nu vavosavigenda.”
And having come the servant (that *k) reported to the master of him these things. Then having become angry the master of the house said to the servant of him; do go out soon into the streets and lanes of the city, and the poor and crippled and blind and lame do bring in here.
22 Uvambombo akhanchova, `Itwa, goni aga gagoukhalagile ni malile ukhuvomba lino inafasi payile.'
And said the servant; Sir, it has been done (as *N+kO) you did command, and still room there is.
23 Utwa akhambula umbombi, 'Luta munchila nchoni, nchila malekhano na munchila imbaha incha khu visolisoli uvumilinche avanu vigile inyumba yango yidige.
And said the master to the servant; do go out into the highways and hedges and do compel [them] to come in so that may be filled of mine the house.
24 Ulwakhuva nikhuvavula khu vala avilangiwe ukhuhuma khuvutengulilo asikhuli uviyakhiva ivoncha uluhekhelo lwango. '
I say for to you that not [one] of the men of those which invited will taste my supper (many for are called few but chosen. *O)
25 Lino avanyalulundamano uluvaha valutaga pupaninye nu mwene, nu mwene akhavasyetukhila nukhuvavula,
Were going with then Him crowds great. and having turned He said to them;
26 'Ingave umunu ikhwincha khulyune, uvisikhugatancha udadaye va mwen, nu vanina va mwene nu dala va mwene, avagosi na vadala- lweli, na mbutamilo wa vene savakhawesya ukhuva vakhongi vango.
If anyone comes to Me and not he hates the father (of himself *NK+o) and the mother and the wife and the children and the brothers and the sisters yes (and *N+kO) even the life his own not he is able to be My disciple.
27 Umunu uvisitola ikhidamili ng'ani khumwene nu khwincha khusana gwa mwene siwesya ukhuva ikhongi vango.
(and *ko) Whoever not carries the cross (of himself *NK+o) and comes after Me, not is able to be My disciple.
28 Pu veni khulyumwe, uviinongwa ukhusimikha unara sakhatame tasi ukhusaga imbalilo ilingi, ikhi inogwa ukhumalana nikyo?
Which for of you (who *o) is desiring a tower to build not first he having sat down he counts the cost whether he has (for *N+kO) [its] completion?
29 Ulwakhuva, vu avikhile ulwuoto nu khulemwa ukhumala, voni valiwene vitengula ukhukhinela nu benapula,
Thus otherwise otherwise [when] laying of it a foundation and not being able to finish all those seeing [it] may begin him to mock
30 valikhunchova, Umunu uyu ategwile ukhusimukha, akhavambula makha aga khumala.'
saying that This man began to build and not he was able to finish.
31 Pu itwa mukhi, anganogwe ukhuluta khutovana nu Ntwa uyunge khwilwa uvisitama pasi nu khusaga ukhulonda ulwidihano, ukhuta lino yuniwesya, paniniye na vanu ava elfukhinchigo ukhutovana nu Ntwa uyunge uvikhwincha khukyanya khu mwene na vanu elfu ishirini?
Or what king proceeding with another king to engage in war not having sat down first (will take counsel *N+kO) whether able he is with ten thousand (to meet *N+kO) the [one] with twenty thousand coming against him?
32 Upu ingave usikhi sagufikhe, ugwa khipuga ikhinge khili khuvutali, pu visuha undoleli khulonda uvunonu lunonchehencho.
lest then except indeed still of him far off being an embassy having sent he asks for peace.
33 Ulwakhuva uva venchaga mugati mundyiumwe, uvisikhufilekha fyoni, ifyalinafye, siwesya ukhuva ikhongi vango.
So therefore every one of you who not does give up all his own possessions, not is able to be My disciple.
34 Umwinyo inonu, lino gungave umwinyo guanchinche ukhunoga, wigaha ndakhi ukhuta guve mwinyo?
Good [is] (therefore *NO) the salt; if however (even *no) the salt shall become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?
35 Gusikhuli nu khuguvombela khulifu na khumbolela, gutagiwa khuvutali. Umwene uviali nu mbulukhutu incha khupulihincha pu apulikhe.”
Neither [is it] for soil nor for manure fit is it; out they cast it. The [one] having ears to hear he should hear.
