1 Paulo, omukosi wa Yesu Kristo, unu abhilikiywe kubha Ntumwa, no kwaulwa ingulu ye misango jo bhwana eja Nyamuanga.
From Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, who has been called to become an apostle, and has been set apart to tell God’s good news.
2 Jinu nijo jilya eje misango jo bhwana jinu alagile kala okulabha ku bhalagi bhae mu maandiko amelu.
This good news God promised long ago through his prophets in the sacred scriptures,
3 No kulubhana no mwana wae, unu ebhuywe okusoka muluganda lwa Daud kulwa ingulu yo mubhili.
concerning his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord; who, as to his human nature, was descended from David,
4 Mwenene niwe alasibhwe ku Mwana wa Nyamuanga kwa managa ga Mwoyo Mwelu mu bhusuluko bhwa bhafuye, Yesu Kristo Latabhugenyi weswe.
but, as to the spirit of holiness within him, was miraculously designated Son of God by his resurrection from the dead.
5 Okulabha ku mwenene chalamiye echigongo no bhutume kwo bhwolobhe bhwe likilisha mu Maanga gone, ingulu ya lisina lyae.
Through him we received the gift of the apostolic office, to win submission to the faith among all nations for the glory of his name.
6 Mumaanga ganu, emwe one mubhilikiywe kubha bha Yesu Kristo.
And among these nations are you – you who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7 Inyalubha inu ni kubhona bhanu bhali Roma, bhanu abhandi na Nyamuanga, bhanu bhabhilikiywe kubha bhanu bhalengelesi. Echigongo chibhe kwimwe, no mulembe okusoka ku Nyamuanga Lata weswe na Latabhugenyi Yesu Kristo.
To all in Rome who are dear to God and have been called to become Christ’s people, may God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
8 Okwamba, enimusima Nyamuanga wani mu Yesu Kristo ingulu yemwe bhona, kulwa insonga elikilisha lyemwe eilasibhwa mu Chalo chona.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because the report of your faith is spreading throughout the world.
9 kulwo kubha Nyamuanga ni mubhambasi wani, unu enikolela mu mutima gwani ku musango gwo bhwana ogwo mwana wae, lwa kutyo enikomesha mukubhaika.
God, to whom I offer the worship of my soul as I tell the goodness of his Son, is my witness how constantly I mention you when I pray,
10 Nsiku jone enikomesha mu okusabhwa jisala jani ati ku njila Yona yona mubhutelo nibhone libhando woli mu Kwenda kwa Nyamuanga mu Kuja kwemwe.
asking that, if he be willing, I may some day at last find the way open to visit you.
11 Kulwo kubha eninda okubhalola, koleleki nibhone okubhayana emwe abhandi ebhiyanwa bhya mumwoyo, nibhone okubhakomesha.
For I long to see you, in order to impart to you some spiritual gift and so give you fresh strength –
12 Ati, enilolelela okusilisibhwa mu Mwoyo amwi nemwe, mu njila ye likilisha Lya bhuli umwi weswe, kwemwe na kwanye.
or rather that both you and I may find encouragement in each other’s faith.
13 Oli abhasu, nitakwenda muleme okumenyekana ati, kwiya kafu nilamue okuja kwemwe, nawe niganyibhwe okinga oli, nendaga kutya koleleki ati amatwasho kwemwe lwakutyo jili ona agatigati ya bhanu bha Maanga.
I want you to know, my friends, that I have many times intended coming to see you – but until now I have been prevented – that I might find among you some fruit of my labors, as I have already among the other nations.
14 Enitwongwa na bhayunani na bhagenyi ona abhengeso na bhamumu.
I have a duty to both the Greek and the barbarian, to both the cultured and the ignorant.
15 Lwakutyo kwibhala lyani, anye nimalilie okulasha omusango gwo bhwana kwemwe one emwe bhanu muliyo Roma.
And so, for my part, I am ready to tell the good news to you also who are in Rome.
16 Kulwo kubha nitagulolela nswalo omusango gwo bhwana, kulwo kubha ni bhutulo bhwa Nyamuanga bhunu obhuleta omwelulo ku bhuli unu kekilisha, okwamba ku Muyaudi na ku Muyunani one.
For I am not ashamed of the good news; it is the power of God which brings salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, but also to the Greek.
17 Kulwo kubha obhulengelesi bhwa Nyamuanga obhubhonekana okusoka mu kwikilisha kukinga mu kwikilisha, lwa kutyo jandikilwe, ati “Omulengelesi kalama mu likilisha.”
For in it there is a revelation of the divine righteousness resulting from faith and leading on to faith; as scripture says – ‘Through faith the righteous will find life.’
18 Kulwo kubha ebhinyiga bhya Nyamuanga bhyabhulisibhwe okusoka mu lwile ingulu yo bhunyamusi ne bhibhibhi bhyona ebhya bhanu, abha ku njila yo bhunyamusi inu eiseleka echimali.
So, too, there is a revelation from heaven of the divine wrath against every form of ungodliness and wickedness on the part of those people who, by their wicked lives, are stifling the truth.
19 Inu ni kulwa insonga, gona ganu agatula okumenyekana ingulu ya Nyamuanga gali abhwelu kubhene. Kulwo kubha Nyamuanga abhamenyesishe.
This is so, because what can be known about God is plain to them; for God himself has made it plain.
20 Kulwo kubha amasango gae ganu gatakubhonekana kisi gali abhwelu okusoka mukumogwa kwe Chalo. Agamenyekana okulabha ku bhinu bhinu bhyamogelwe. Amasango ganu ni bhutulo bhwae obhwa kajanende no bhusimuka bhwa Bhunyamuanga. Mukubhonekana kwae, abhanu bhanu bhatana bhwilige-lige. (aïdios g126)
For ever since the creation of the universe God’s invisible attributes – his everlasting power and divinity – are to be seen and studied in his works, so that people have no excuse; (aïdios g126)
because, although they learned to know God, yet they did not offer him as God either praise or thanksgiving. Their speculations about him proved futile, and their undiscerning minds were darkened.
22 Nibhebhilikila ati ni bhengeso, nawe nibhabha bhamumu.
Professing to be wise, they showed themselves fools;
and they transformed the glory of the immortal God into the likeness of mortal humans, and of birds, and beasts, and reptiles.
24 Kulwenda Nyamuanga abhasigile bhalubhe inamba ye Mwoyo jebhwe kwo bhujabhi, kwe mibhili jebhwe abhaswasibhwa no kubhonekana kwebhwe.
Therefore God abandoned them to impurity, letting them follow the cravings of their hearts, until they dishonored their own bodies;
25 Nibho abhene bhainduye echimali cha Nyamuanga kubha lulimi, nabho bhalamishe no kukolela ebhimwongwa okukila omumogi, oyo kakusibhwa kajanende. Amina. (aiōn g165)
for they had substituted a lie for the truth about God, and had reverenced and worshiped created things more than the Creator, who is to be praised for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Kulwa insonga inu, Nyamuanga abhasigile bhalubhe jinamba jebhwe ejajiswalo, kwo kubha abhagasi bhebhwe bhainduye ebhikolwa bhwyebhwe bhyo bhusimuka kuchilya chinu chitasikene no bhusimuka.
That, I say, is why God abandoned them to degrading passions. Even the women among them perverted the natural use of their bodies to the unnatural;
27 Nolwo kutyo na Bhalume one nibhasiga ebhikolwa bhwyebhwe bhyo bhusimuka kubhagasi nibhanambalilana abhene kwa bhene. Bhanu bhaliga bhalume abho bhakolele na bhalume bhejabho ganu gateile, nabho bhalamie intambala inu yalinga iiyile mu bhunyamuke bhwyebhwe.
while the men, disregarding that for which women were intended by nature, were consumed with passion for one another. Men indulged in vile practices with men, and incurred in their own persons the inevitable penalty for their perverseness.
28 Kunsonga bhalemele okubha na Nyamuanga mu bhumenyi bhwebhwe, abhasigile bhalubhe obhwenge bhwebhwe bhunu bhuteile, bhakole emisango jilya jinu jiteile.
Then, as they would not keep God before their minds, God abandoned them to depraved thoughts, so that they did all kinds of shameful things.
29 Bhejusibhwe no bhulangi - langi bhwona, obhubhibhi, inamba mbibhi. Bhejusibhwe na lifuwa, obhwiti, obhulemo, obhujigi-jigi, abho Mwoyo mubhibhi.
They reveled in every form of wickedness, evil, greed, vice. Their lives were full of envy, murder, quarreling, treachery, malice.
They became back-biters, slanderers, impious, insolent, boastful. They devised new sins. They disobeyed their parents.
31 Bhenene bhatana bhumenyi; Bhanu bhanyantekilishanya, bhanyambula lyenda lyo bhusimuka, bhanyantafwila chigongo.
They were undiscerning, untrustworthy, without natural affection or pity.
32 Abhamenyesishe ebhilolelela bhya Nyamuanga, ati abhanu bhanu abhakola emisango jejabhwejo bhejile lufu. Nawe atali ati-la abhakola emisango ejo, bhwenene one abhekilishanya na bhalya bhanu abhakola emisango ejo.
Well aware of God’s decree, that those who do such things deserve to die, not only are they guilty of them themselves, but they even applaud those who do them.
