< Bharumi 3 >

1 Okumala ni mabhona-ki ganu alinago Omuyaudi? Ka na mabhona go lutendo ni chinuki?
What then is the advantage of the Jew? or what the benefit of circumcision?
2 Nijakisi muno mu bhuli njila. Amwi Nejo jone, Abhayaudi bhayanilwe okuswelulilwa okusoka mu Nyamuanga.
Great, every way. In the first place, because they were entrusted with the oracles of God.
3 Mbe nawe jilibha atiki ka abhandi bha Bhayaudi bhanu bhatalibha na likilisha? Angu bhunyatekilisha bhwebhwe obhukola obhwiikanyibhwa bhwa Nyamuanga kubha kutyo-ela?
For what? If some were unfaithful, shall their unfaithfulness make God unfaithful?
4 Uli nakatyali, Kukila ao siga Nyamuanga abhonekane kubha we chimali, nolwo kutyo bhuli munu ni mulimi. Lwa kutyo jandikilwe, “Ati utule okubhonekana kubha mulengelesi mu misango jao, na utule okuiga anu owingila mundamu.”
Far be it! yea, let God be true, and every man a liar; as it is written, “That thou mayst be justified in thy words, and mayst overcome when thou art arraigned.”
5 Mbe nawe bhukabha obhunyamuke bhweswe nibhwelesha obhulengelesi bhwa Nyamuanga, mbe chaikeki? Nyamuanga atali mulangi-langi anu kasosha lisungu lyae, angu alio kutyo? Enaika okulubhana ne misango je chinyamunu.
But if our unrighteousness serve to display the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicteth punishment? (I am speaking as men do.)
6 Uli nakatyali! Mbe woli ni kutiki Nyamuanga kajokulamula Echalo?
Far be it! For then how shall God judge the world?
7 Mbe nawe echimali cha Nyamuanga chikabha Nichilabha ku lulimi lwani elisoka likusho lyafu ingulu yae, kulwaki nichali nindamulwa lwo webhibhibhi?
For if, through my being false, the truth of God hath been more abundantly manifested to his glory, why am I still judged as a sinner?
8 Kulwaki chisige okwaika, lwa kutyo chabheyelesibhwe na lwa kutyo abhandi abhakomelesha ati chaike, “Chikole obhunyamuke, koleleki agekisi gaje”? Indamu ingulu yebhwe niye chimali.
And why do you not say, as some slanderously charge us with saying, Let us do evil, that good may come? The condemnation of such men is just.
9 Mbe woli niki? Echililila eswe abhene? Uli chimwi. Kulwo kubha eswe chelabhile okubhalamula Abhandi na Abhayunani bhona amwi, ati bhali mu chibhibhi.
What then? Are we better than others? By no means! For we have already brought a charge both against Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin.
10 Jinu ni lwa kutyo jandikilwe: “Atalio mulengelesi, nolwo umwi.
As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 Atalio omunu unu kasombokelwa. Atalio omunu unu kamuyenja Nyamuanga.
there is none that hath understanding, there is none that diligently seeketh God;
12 bhona bhaindukile. Bhenene ku bhona bhatachali na nsonga. Atalio unu kakola agekisi, uli nolwo umwi.
they have all turned aside from the right way, they have become worthless together; there is none that doeth good, not even one.
13 Amamilo gebhwe ni nfwa jinu jili abhwelu. Jindimi jebhwe ejibheya. Obhusungu bhwa jinjoka bhuli munda ye minwa jebhwe.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have practised deceit. The poison of asps is under their lips.
14 Mu Kanwa kebhwe bhijuye bhifumilisho no bhululu.
Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
15 Amagaulu gebhwe ni mangu okwita amanyiga.
Swift are their feet to shed blood;
16 Obhunyamuke na jinyako jili mu njila jebhwe.
destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 Abhanu bhanu bhataimenya injila yo mulembe.
and the way of peace they know not.
18 Obhubha bhwo kumubhaya Nyamuanga bhutalimo imbele ya meso gebhwe.”
There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19 Woli chamenya ati chona chona chinu echilagilo echaika, echaika na bhaliya bhanu bhali emwalo ye chilagilo. Chinu ni ati koleleki bhuli minwa jijibhisibhwe, kwibhyo ni ati Echalo chona chimubhaye Nyamuanga.
Now we know that whatever the Law saith, it saith to those who are under the Law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world become subject to condemnation before God.
20 Jinu ni kwa insonga ati gutalio mubhili gunu gulibhalilwa obhulengelesi kwe bhikolwa bhye bhilagilo imbele ya meso gae. Kulwo kubha okulabha ku bhilagilo obhuja obhumenyi bhwe chibhibhi.
Because by works of the Law no flesh shall be accepted as righteous: for by the Law is the knowledge of sin.
21 Mbe nawe woli chikabhulao echilagilo, obhulengelesi bhwa Nyamuanga obhumenyekana. Jabhulisibhwe kwe bhilagilo na abhalagi,
But now, apart from the Law, the righteousness which is of God, to which the Law and the Prophets bear testimony,
22 echo ni chimali cha Nyamuanga okulabha mu likilisha mu Yesu Kristo ku bhaliya bhona bhanu abhekilisha. Kulwo kubha bhutalio bhutasikene.
even the righteousness which is of God through faith in Jesus Christ, hath been made manifest to all and for all believers. For there is no distinction.
23 Kulwo kubha bhona bhakolele echibhibhi, no kukeelelwa likusho lya Nyamuanga.
For all have sinned, and fail of obtaining the glory which cometh from God;
24 Bhabhaliywe obhulengelesi kutyo-ela kulwe chigongo chae kwa injila yo bhuchungusi bhunu bhuli mu Kristo Yesu.
being accepted as righteous freely, by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25 Kulwo kubha Nyamuanga amusosishe Kristo Yesu koleleki abhe mugwatanyisha mu njila ye likilisha mu manyiga gae. Amusosishe Kristo uti bhubhambasi bhwo bhulengelesi bhwae, kwa insonga yo kubhisingilila ebhibhibhi bhinu bhyatulile
whom, in his blood, through faith, God hath set forth as a propitiatory sacrifice, in order to manifest his righteousness, on account of his passing by, in his forbearance, the sins committed in former times;
26 mu kwingumilisha kwae. Ganu gona gabhonekene koleleki okwelesha obhulengelesi bhwae mu mwanya gunu ogwa woli. Jinu jabhee koleleki atule okukumisha mwenene obhulengelesi, no kwelesha ati kamubhalila obhulengelesi omunu wona wona kulwa insonga ye likilisha mu Yesu.
in order to manifest his righteousness at the present time, so that he may be righteous, and accept as righteous him who hath faith.
27 Woli okwikuya kulyaki? kubhelelekelwe. kwo lufukaki? Olufuka lwe bhikolwa? Uli, mbe nawe kwo olufuka lwe likilisha.
Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay; but by the law of faith.
28 Kwibhyo echimalisha ati omunu kabhalilwa obhulengelesi kwe likilisha atali kulwe ebhikolwa bhye bhilagilo.
We conclude therefore, that a man is accepted as righteous through faith, without the works of the Law.
29 Amwi Nyamuanga ni Nyamuanga wa Bhayaudi la? Angu mwenene atali Nyamuanga wa bhanu bha Maanga one? Yee, owa Maanga one.
Or is God [[the God]] of Jews alone? Is he not also the God of gentiles? Yea, of gentiles also.
30 Alabha ni chimali Nyamuanga ni umwi, alibhabhalila obhulengelesi bhanu bhali bho lutendo mu likilisha, na bhanu bhatatendelwe mu njila ye likilisha.
Seeing there is but one God, who will accept the circumcised as righteous by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.
31 Angu eswe echiindula echilagilo kwe likilisha? Uli nakatyali! Obhutasikane nago, eswe echichikomelesha echilagilo.
Do we then make void the Law through faith? Far be it! On the contrary, we establish the Law.
