1 Bhana bhasu, jing'umbu ja mu mutima gwani na lisabhwa lwani ku Nyamuanga ni ingulu yebhwe, ingulu yo mwelulo gwebhwe.
My brothers and sisters, my heart's desire—my prayer to God—is for the salvation of the people of Israel!
2 Kulwo kubha enibhabhambalila ati bhekomesishe ingulu ya Nyamuanga, mbe nawe atali ingulu yo bhumenyi.
I can testify to their passionate dedication to God, but it's not based on knowing him as he truly is.
3 Kulwo kubha bhatabhumenya obhulengelesi bhwa Nyamuanga, na abhaiga okumbaka obhulengelesi bhwebhwe abhene. Bhaliga bhatolobhele mu bhulengelesi bhwa Nyamuanga.
They don't understand how God makes us right with him, and they try to make themselves right. They refuse to accept God's way of making people right.
4 Kulwo kubha Kristo niwe bhukumisha bhe bhilagilo ingulu yo bhulengelesi bhwa bhuli munu unu kekilisha.
For Christ is the fulfillment of the law. All those who trust in him are made right.
5 Kwo kubha Musa kandika okulubhana no bhulengelesi bhunu obhuja okulubhana ne bhilagilo: Omunu unu Kenda okukola obhulengelesi bhwe bhilagilo kekala kwo bhulengelesi bhunu.”
Moses wrote, “Whoever does what is right by obeying the law will live.”
6 Mbe nawe obhulengelesi bhunu obhulubhana ne likilisha elyaika kutya, “Wasiga kwaika mu mwoyo gwao ati, “Niga unu akalinye mu Lwile? (Gunu nikumutelemusha Kristo emwalo)'”.
But the attitude of doing right that comes from trust says this: “Don't ask ‘who'll go to heaven?’ (asking to bring Christ down),”
7 Na Wasiga kwaika ati, 'Niga unu akeke mulyobho?'” (Gunu nikumulinya Kristo ingulu okusoka mu bhafuye). (Abyssos g12)
or “‘who'll go to the place of the dead?’ (asking to bring Christ back from the dead).” (Abyssos g12)
8 Mbe nawe eyaikaki? “omusngo guli ayei nawe, mukanwa yao na mu mwoyo gwao.” Ogwo ni musango gwe likilisha, gunu eswe echilasha.
What Scripture actually says is: “The message is very close to you—it's what you talk about and what's in your mind.” In fact it's this message based on trust that we're presenting.
9 Kulwo kubha alabha kwo munwa gwao oumwikilisha Yesu ati ni Latabhugenyi, no ku mwikilisha mumwoyo gwao ati Nyamuanga amusulue okusoka mu bhafue, owelulwa.
For if you declare that you accept Jesus as Lord, and you are convinced in your mind that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved.
10 Kwo kubha kwo omwoyo omunu kekilisha no kubhona obhulengelesi, na kwo munwa omwikilisha no kubhona okwelulwa.
Your trust in God makes you right and good, and your declaration of accepting God saves you.
11 Kwo kubha elyandiko elyaika,”bhuli unu kamwikilisha ataliswala.”
As Scripture says, “Those who trust in him will not be disappointed.”
12 Kwo kubha bhutalio bhutasikane agati ya Bhayaudi na Bhayunani. kwo kubha Latabhugenyi ulya ulya ni wabhona, na ni munibhi kubhona ku bhanu abhanu abhamubhilikila.
There's no difference between Jew and Greek—for the same Lord is Lord of everyone, and he gives generously to everyone who asks him.
13 Kwo kubha bhuli munu unu kalibhilikila lisina Lya Latabhugenyi alikisibhwa.
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 Ku nsongaki abhatula okumubhilikila omwene oyo bhachali kumwikilisha? Na Kulwaki abhatula okumwikilisha omwene oyo bhachali kumungwa? Na abhongwa atiki bhatalasibhwe omusango, atali bhatumilwe? -Kutyo jandikilwe,”
But how can people call on someone they don't trust? How can they trust someone they haven't heard about? How can they hear unless they're told?
15 Nikutiki abhatula okusimula, atali bhatumilwe? - Lwa kutyo jandikilwe, “Nikutiki nigakisi amagulu gebhwe bhalya bhanu abhalasha emisango ne jo bhukondelewe ne emisango je kisi
How can they go out and tell others unless they're sent? Just as Scripture says, “Those who come bringing the good news are truly welcome!”
16 Mbe nawe bhone bhatagutegelesishe omusango gwo bhwana, kwo kubha Isaya aikile “Latabhugenyi, niga unu oguwe omusango gweswe?”
But not everyone has accepted the good news. As Isaiah asks: “Lord, who trusted in the news they heard from us?”
17 Kwibhyo okwikilisha okuja okulubhana no kungwa, no kungwa kwo Musango gwa Kristo.
Trusting in God comes from hearing—hearing the message of Christ.
18 Mcbe nawe naika,” Angu bhatonguwe?” Yee kwe chimali muno. “Obhulaka bhwebhwe bhwaulukile anja muchalo chone, ne misango jebhwe okuja kubhutelo bhwe chalo.”
It's not that they haven't heard. Quite the opposite: “The voices of those speaking for God have been heard all over the earth—their message went out to the whole world.”
19 Kubhutelo bhwa gone, enaika,”Angu Israeli atamenyele? “Musa niwe ambile okwaika,”Nilibhasolosoja okubhayana lifuwa ku bhanu abho bhatali bheyanga. Kujila ya liyanga elyo litali nabhumenyi, Nilibhasolosoja mubhiililwe.”
So my question is, “Didn't Israel know?” First of all Moses says, “I'll make you jealous by using people who aren't even a nation; I will make you angry by using ignorant foreigners!”
20 Mbe Isaya Ali no bhubhasi muno kaika, “Na bhonekene na bhalia abho bhatanyingile. Nabhonekene kubhalia abho bhatankenele.”
Then Isaiah said it even more strongly: “I was found by people who weren't even looking for me; I revealed myself to people who weren't even asking for me.”
21 Mbe nawe kwa Israel kaika,” Naku jona nenamusishe amabhoko gani kwabho bhatonguwe na ku bhanu bhakomee.”
As God says to Israel, “All day long I reached out my hands to a disobedient and stubborn people.”
