< Mathayo 11 >

1 Ejile Yesu okubhabwila abheigisibhwa bhae akumi na bhabhili emukile nagenda omwiigisha no kulasha mumisi jebhwe,
And it happened that when Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he departed from there to teach and preach in their cities.
2 na Yowana ali mwibhoelo ejile ongwa ebhikolwa bhya Kristo, natuma omusango okulabhila abheigisibhwa bhae,
Now when John heard in prison the works of the Christ, he sent his disciples
3 na nibhamubhusha ati,”Awe nawe unu kaja, angu aliyo oundi chimulinde?”
and said to him, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?"
4 Yesu nasubhya naikati, kubhene “Mugende mujomubhwila Yowana ganu omulola na ganu omungwa.
And Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
5 Abhanu bhanu bhatakulola abhabhona okulola, abhalema abhalibhata, abhagenge abhaosibhwa, abhasibhe bha matwi abhongwa lindi, abhafuye abhasululwa bhali bhaanga, na bhanu abhakene abhalasibhwa emisango Jo bhwana.
the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
6 Ana libhando unu takwitimata ingulu yani.
And blessed is he who is not offended by me."
7 Akatungu kanu abhanu bhanu nibhemuka, Yesu namba okwaika na liijo ingulu ya Yowana,”Niki chinu mwajiye okulola mwibhala lisaunga ndisingisibhwa no muyaga?
And as these went their way, Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
8 Nawe niki chinu mwajiye okulola omunu afwae ebhifwalo bhyololo? Nichimali, bhanu abhafwala ebhifwalo bhyololo bhekae munyumba ja bhakama.
But what did you go out to see? A man in soft clothing? Look, those who wear soft things are in kings' houses.
9 Tali mwajiye okulola ki-Omulagi? Nichimali, enibhabhwila ati, nokukila Omulagi.
But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
10 Unu niwe andikiwe,'Lola, namulagilila omukosi wani imbele yo bhusu bhwao, unu kachuma injila yao imbele yao.
This is the one of whom it is written, 'Look, I send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'
11 Anye enibhabhwila echimali, mubhamwi bhanu bhebhuywe abhagasi atalio unu Ali mukulu okukila Yawana Omubhatija. Nawe unu alimutilu mubhukama bhwa mulwile n mukulu okukila omwene.
Truly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 Okusoka munsiku ja Yowana Omubhatija okukinga woli, obhukama bhwa Mulwile ni bhwamanaga, na bhanu bha managa, abhabhugega kwa managa.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent are taking it by force.
13 Kulwokubha abhalagi ne bhilagilo, bhaliga nibhalaga okukinga ku Yowana.
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 Na labha mwimaliliye okwikilisha, unu niwe Eliya, unu alija.
And if you are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, who is to come.
15 Unu ali nokutwi kwokugwa nongwe.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
16 Nilususanyishe naki olwibhulo lunu? Nichijejekanyo cha bhana bhanu abhashana kulubhala lwa lisoko, bhanu bhenyanjile nokubhilikilana,
"But to what should I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to their companions
17 nibhaikati,'Chabhabhumiye olukuli mutabhinile. Chalile, emwe mutalilile'
and say, 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance. We wailed in mourning, and you did not mourn.'
18 Kulwokubha Yowana ejile atalyaga mukate nolo kunywa omuvinyo, nibhaikati, 'Ana lisabwa.'
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'
19 Omwana wa Adamu ejile nalya nokunywa nibhaikati, 'Lola' nimunu muli na munywi, omusani wa bhatobhesha bho bhushulu na abhebhibhi!' Nawe obhwengeso obhusululwa kwe bhikolwa bhyae.”
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is justified by her children."
20 Yesu namba okugonya emisi munu ebhikolwa bhyo kulugusha bhyakolwaga, kulwokubha bhaliga bhachali kuta,
Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent.
21 Jilikubhona awe, Kolazini, Jilikubhona awe Betisaida! Lwakutyo ebhikolwa bhikulu gakakolekene Tilo na Sidoni ganu gakolekana anu, bhakabhee bhatee kala kwo kufwala amagunila no kwisinga lifu.
"Woe to you, Chorazin. Woe to you, Bethsaida. For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 Nawe ilibha okwikomesha kwa Tilo na Sidoni olusiku lwa indamu yao.
But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
23 Awe, Kapelanaumu, owitogela ati bhalikutula ingulu okukinga mulwile? Payi ulitelemushwa okukinga nyombe. Lwakutyo ku Sodoma bhyakakolekene ebhikolwa bhikulu, kutyo gakolekana kwawe, yakabheeo okukinga lelo. (Hadēs g86)
And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will be brought down to hell. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs g86)
24 Oli enaika nawe ati jakabhee nyangu ku chalo cha Sodoma okwimelegulu olusiku lwa indamu okukila awe.
But I tell you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, on the day of judgment, than for you."
25 Mumwanya ogwo Yesu naikati, “Enikukuya awe, Rata, Ratabhugenyi wo Olwile ne Chalo, kulwokubha wabhaselekele Emisango jinu abhobhwenge na bhengeso, nugasulula kubhanu bhatabhaga na bhwenge, lwa bhana abhalela.
At that time, Jesus answered, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.
26 Rata lwakutyo jakukondee mumeso gao.
Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.
27 Emisango jona nayanibhwe okusoka ku Rata. Atalio unu kamumenya Omwana tali Rata, na atalio unu kamumenya Rata tali Omwana, na wona wona unu Omwana ana elyenda lyo kumusululila.
All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son desires to reveal him.
28 Muje kwanye, bhanu bhona omunyansibhwa no kusitoelwa ne migugu misito, anye enibhafung'amya.
"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Mugege ingulwema yani na mwiigile okusoka kwanye, kulwokubha anye nilimwololo na mufula wo mwoyo no mubhona okufung'ama mumyoyo jemwe.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.
30 Kulwokubha ingulwema yani ni nyololo no mugugu gwani ni mwangu.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
