Luka 3
1 Woli, mumwaka gwa kumi na tano ogwokukama bhwa Kaisali Tibelia, omwanya ogwo Pontiyo Pilato aliga ali mukama wa Uyaudi, Helode aliga ali mukulu wo mukoa gwa Galilaya, na Filipo mumulawabho aligaali mukulu wo mukowa Ituleya na Tlakoniti, na Lisania aliga ali mukulu wo mukoa gwa Abilene,
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2 Omwanya ogwomugabhisi mukulu owa Anasi na Kayafa, Ligambo lya Nyamuanga lyamwijie Yowana mwana wa Jakaliya, mwibhala.
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of YHWH came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 Nalibhata mumukowa gwona okwiinda Yolodani, nalasha obhubhatijwa bhwo kuta kulwokusasibhwa ebhibhibhi
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4 Kutyo jandikilwe muchitabho magambo ga Isaya omulagi,”Obhulaka bhwo munu unu kalagilisha mwibhala,”Muichume injla ya Latabhugenyi, mukole injila yae inu imile.
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of YHWH, make his paths straight.
5 Bhuli kolongo elijusibhwa, bhuli bhanga ne bhibhanga ebhinyalambulwa, jinjila jinu jikotele ejigololwa, na jinjila jinu jilina magunguli jilinyalambulilwa.
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6 Bhanu bhona bhali bhulola obhwelulo bhwa Nyamuanga.”
And all flesh shall see the salvation of YHWH.
7 Kulwejo, Yowana nabhwila elikofyanya enene elyabhanu bhanu bhajaga okubhatijwa nage,”Emwe olwibhulo lwa injoka yo bhusungu, niga unu amabhakabhusha okubhilima lisungu linu elija?
Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Mwibhule amatwasho ganu agagendana no kuta, na mutaja kwaika munda yemwe,”Chinage Ibulaimu unu ali lata weswe; kulwokubha enibhabhwila ati, Nyamuanga katula okumubhonela abhana okusoka ku mabhuyi ganu.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That YHWH is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 Nawoli inshoka iteweyo kumisi ja mati. Kulwejo, bhuli ti linu litakwibhula matwasho ga kisi, elitemwa no kweswa mumulilo.
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 Nibheya abhanu bha mwiijo nibhamubhusha nibhaikati,”Woli jichiile chikoleki?”
And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 Abhasubhishe naikati,”labha omunu ali na nkanju ebhili jimwiile asoshe nkanju imwi ku undi unu atanayo silisili, na unu ali nebhilyo ona nakole kutyo.”
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Nibheya amwi ya bhatobhesha bhushulu nibhaja okubhatijwa, na nibhamubhwila ati,”Mwiigisha, jichiile chikole kutiki?
Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 Nabhabhwilati, Musige okumanya jiyela kukila kutyo omwendibhwa okukumanya.”
And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 Na amwi ya bhasilikale ona nibhamubhusha nibhaikati,”Kaoli eswe kutiki? Echendibhwa chikole kutiki?”Nabhabhwilati, Mutaja kugega jiyelaku munu wonawona kwa managa, mutaja kumubheelesha munu wonawona kwo lubheyi. mwihye ne miyelo jemwe”
And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15 Woli, kulwokubha abhanu bhaliga bhano bhwila bhwo kumulinda Kilisto unu alija, bhuli munu aliga neganilisha mumwoyo gwae ingulu ya Yowana labha niwe Kilisto.
And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Messiah, or not;
16 Yowana nasubhya kwo kubhabhwila bhona ati,”Anye enibhabhatija kwa manji, tali alio umwi unu kaja unu ali na managa kukila anye, na anye niteile kusulumula jingoe je bhilato bhyae. Kabhabhatija emwa kwo mwoyo mwelu na kwomulilo.
John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire:
17 Lisungulilo lyae lili mumabhoko gae koleleki achumechume kisi owokusungulila ingano no kuikumanya muchitala chae. Tali kasingalisha ingunyu kwo mulilo gunu gutakusima.
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 Kwo kubhatongela agandi mamfu ona, alasishe emisango jo bhwana kubhanu,
And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19 Yowana amuganyishe ona Helode omukulu wo mukowa kwo kutwala Helodiya, omugasi wo mumula wabho na kwobhunyamuke bhwamfu bhunu Helode aliga nakola.
But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 Tali eile Helode akolele obhunyamuke obhundi bhubhibhi muno. Namubhoya Yowana mwibhoelo.
Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 Njiya njisokanati, omwanya gunu abhanu bhona bhaliga nibhabhatijwa na Yowana, Yesu ona abhatijishwe. Omwanya ogwo asabhilwe, olwile nilwiguka.
Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Yahushua also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 Omwoyo Mwelu natuka ingulu yae kulwolususo lwa lilengesi lya inguti, omwanya ogwo obhulaka nibhuja okusoka mulwile nibhwaikati,”Awe ulimwana wani mwendwa. Enikondelwa muno na nawe”
And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23 Oli Yesu omwene, ejile amba okufundisha, aliga ali ne myaka makumi gasatu. Aliga ali mwana (lwakutyo aliga nibheganilisha) wa Yusufu, omwana wa Eli,
And Yahushua himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
24 omwana wa Mathati, omwana wa Lawi, omwana wa Meliki, omwana wa Yana, omwana wa Yusufu,
Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,
25 Omwana wa Matasiya, omwana wa Amosi, omwana wa Nahumu, omwana wa Esili, omwana wa Nagayi,
Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge,
26 Omwana wa Maati, omwana wa Matasiya, omwana wa Semeini, omwana wa Yusufu, omwana wa Yuda,
Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda,
27 Omwana wa Yoanani, omwana wa Resa, omwana wa Zelubabeli, omwana wa Sheatieli, omwana wa Neli,
Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri,
28 Omwana wa Meliki, omwana wa Adi, omwana wa Kosamu, omwana wa Elimadamu, omwana wa Eli,
Which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Addi, which was the son of Cosam, which was the son of Elmodam, which was the son of Er,
29 Omwana wa Yoshuwa, omwana wa Eliezeli, omwana wa Yolimu, omwana wa Matasi, omwana wa Lawi,
Which was the son of Jose, which was the son of Eliezer, which was the son of Jorim, which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi,
30 Omwana wa Simeoni, omwana wa Yuda, omwana wa Yusufu, omwana wa Yonamu, omwana wa Eliyakimu,
Which was the son of Simeon, which was the son of Juda, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Jonan, which was the son of Eliakim,
31 Omwana wa Meleya, omwana wa Mena, omwana wa Matasa, omwana wa Nathani, omwana wa Daudi,
Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David,
32 Omwana wa Yese, omwana wa Obedi, omwana wa Boazi, omwana wa Salimoni, omwana wa Nashoni,
Which was the son of Jesse, which was the son of Obed, which was the son of Booz, which was the son of Salmon, which was the son of Naasson,
33 Omwana wa Abinadabu, omwana wa Alamu, omwana wa Hesiloni, omwana wa Pelesi, omwana wa Yuda,
Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda,
34 omwana wa Yakobo, omwana wa Isaka, omwana wa Iblaimu, omwana wa Tela, omwana wa Naholi,
Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor,
35 Omwana wa Seluig, omwana wa Lagau, omwana wa Pelegi, omwana wa Ebeli, omwana wa Sala,
Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala,
36 Omwana wa Kenani, omwana wa Alufakisadi, omwana wa Shemu, omwana wa Nuhu, omwana wa Lameki,
Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,
37 Omwana wa Metusela, omwana wa Henoko, omwana wa Yaledi, omwana wa Mahalalei, omwana wa Kenani,
Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan,
38 Omwana wa Enoshi, omwana wa Seti, omwana wa Adamu, omwana wa Nyamuanga.
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of Elohim.
