< Yoana 9 >

1 Omwanya, Yesu aliga achaitingana nalola omunu omufu kusoka kwibhulwa kwaye.
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.
2 Abheigisibwa bhaye nibhamusha ati, “Rabi, niniga oyoakolele echibhibhi, omunu unu ni bhebhusi bhaye nolwo ebhulwe muofu?”
His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 Yesu nasubya ati, “Atali unu omunu nolwo bhebhusi bhaye abho bhakolele echibhibhi, nawe emilimu ja Nyamuanga jibhonekanilwe kumwene.
Jesus answered, “This man did not sin, nor did his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.
4 Kuchiile okukola emilimu jae unu antumile omwanya guchali mumsisi ingeta eija anu atalio oyokatula okukola emilimu.
I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.
5 Omwanya nilio musi, anye ni bwelu bwa musi.”
While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 Ejile Yesu akaika emisango ejo, natula asi, nakola amatoto kwa mafwefu amuwola uliya omunu kumeso na matoto.
When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,
7 Namubwila ati, genda woge muchinyo cha Siloamu (obhugajulo unu' antumile').” Kulwejo unu omunu nagenda, nesabha, nasubha, nalola.
and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.
8 Abhekashanya bha uliya omunu na bhaliya abho bhamulolele kubwambilo mwisabhilisha nibhaika ati, Mbe unu atali uliya omunu oyoaliga niyanja no kusabwa?” abhandi nibhaika ati, “Niwe.”
Therefore the neighbors and those who saw that he was blind before said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?”
9 Na bhandi nibhaika ati, “Atali, nawe kasusana nage.” Nawe aliga naika ati, “Nanye.”
Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”
10 Nibhamubwila ati, “Woli ameso gao gabhandulwa atiki?”
They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”
11 Nasubya, omunu oyo kabhilikilwa Yesu akolele amatoto na mola ameso gani no kumubwila genda Siloam wisabhe.' Kulwejo ningenda, ninisabha nimbona okulola lindi.”
He answered, “A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”
12 Nibhamubwila ati, “Alyaki?” Nasubya ati, “Nitakumenya.”
Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I do not know.”
13 Nibhamubya uliya oyo aliga muofu ku Bhafarisayo.
They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.
14 Nawe lwaliga luli lusiku lwa isabhato omwanya Yesu akolele matoto no kugabhandula ameso gaye.
It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.
15 Niwo lindi Abhafarisayo nibhamubhusha wamabhona kutiki okulola. Nabhabwila ati, “Atulele amatoto kumeso gani, ninisabha na woli enitula okulola.”
Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”
16 Abhafarisayo abhandi nibhaika ati, “Omunu unu atasokele ku Nyamuanga kwo kubha ataigwata isabhato.” Abhandi bhaikile ati, “Itulikana atiki omunu we bhibhibhi okukola ebhibhalikisho kwebyo?” Kukwejo nikubhayo okutagana kwebhe.
Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division among them.
17 Niwo nibhamubhusha uliya omuofu lindi, “Owaika atiki ingulu yaye kwo kubha agabhanduye ameso gaye?” Omuofu naika ati, “Ni mulagi.”
Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”
18 Nolwo omwanya gunu Abhayaudi bhatamwikilisishe atialiga muofu nawe amakola kutiki okulola mbe bhabhilikiye abhebhusi bhaye unu abhene okulola.
The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,
19 Nibhabhabhusha abhebhusi, Mbe, unu no mwana wemwe omwaika kutiki ebhuliwe muofu? atulakutiki okulola
and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
20 Kutyo awebhusi bhaye nibhamusubya ati, “Echimenya kubha unu no mwana wemwe ebhuwe muofu.
His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
21 Nawe Kutyo kalola chitakumenya, oyo amubhanduye ameso gaye, chitakumenya. Mumubhushe omwene. Ni munu mukulu. Alaika omwene.”
but how he now sees, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”
22 Abhebhusi bhaye bhaikile emisango ejo, kwo kubha bhobhaga Abhayaudi. Kulwejo Abhayaudi bhaliga bhogwene kubha, akabha lyona lyona ekekilisha kubha Yesu ni Kristo kaulwa na Lisinagogi.
His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.
23 Kwo kubha linu, awebhusi bhaye bhaikili,” Ni munu mukulu mumubhushe omwene.”
Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”
24 Kulwejo olwa kabhili, bhamubhuma uliya omunu oyoaligabheye muofu namubwila ati, “Muyane Nyamuanga likusho. Chimenyele ati omunu unu ni wechibhibhi.”
So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”
25 Niwo uliya omunu nasubya ati, “Abhe ni wechibhibhi, anye nitakumenya. Chinu chimwi echoenimenya: naliga muofu, na woli enilola.”
He therefore answered, “I do not know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
26 Niwo bhamubwiliye ati, “Amakukolela chinuki? Agabhanduye kutiki ameso gao?”
They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”
27 Nasubya ati, “Namalile okubhabwila nemwona mutategelisishe! Kubhaki omwenda okugwa lindi? Nemwona omwenda okubha bheigisibwa bhae ona, kutyo?
He answered them, “I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You do not also want to become his disciples, do you?”
28 Bhamufumile nibhaika ati, “Awe ni mwiigisibwa waye, nawe eswe nibheigisibwa bha Musa.
They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
29 Echimenya ati Nyamuanga alomele na Musa, nawe kuunu omunu, chitakumenya eyo asokele
We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we do not know where he comes from.”
30 Oliya omunu nasubya nabhabwila ati, “Kubhaki gunu ni musango gwo kulugusha, ati mutakumenya eyokasoka, na ka ambanduye ameso gani.
The man answered them, “How amazing! You do not know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.
31 Chimenyele kubha Nyamuanga atakubhategelesha abhe bhibhibhi, nawe alabha omunu wona wonawona oyo kamulamya Nyamuanga no kukola chinu kenda, Nyamuanga kamugwa.
We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.
32 Okwamba kwa isi chichaliga kata kungwa ati wona wonawona amabhandula ameso go munu oyo ebhuwe muofu. (aiōn g165)
From the age (aiōn g165) it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.
33 Alabha omunu unu atasokele ku Nyamuanga, atakutula kukola chona chona.”
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
34 Nibhamusubya no kumubwila ati, “Webhuliwe muchibhibhi nawe uchiigisha eswe?” Niwo mbamubhilimya okusoka kwi sinagogi.
They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” Then they threw him out.
35 Yesu nongwa ati bhamusoshao kwi sinagogi. namulola na mubwila ati, “Uwikilisha Omwana wo munu?”
Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”
36 Nasubya naika ati, “Niga, Lata bhugenyi, koleleki anye nimwikilishe?”
He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”
37 Yesu nabhabwila ati, “Omulola, unu Kaika nage niwe.”
Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”
38 Uliya omunu naika ati, “Lata bhugenyi, Nekilisha.” Niwo nifukamya.
He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshiped him.
39 Yesu naika ati, “Kwo kulamula nijili musi inu koleleki abho bhatakulola bholole na bhaliya abhoabhalola bhabhe bhaofu.”
Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who do not see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”
40 Abhandi bha Mafarisayo bhaliga bhali amwi nage nibhogwa emisango ejo no bhamubhusha ati, “Neswe ona ni bhaofu?”
Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”
41 Yesu nabhabwila ati, “Alabha mwakabheye bhaofu mutakabheye ne chibhibhi. Nolwo kutyo, woli omwaika ati, Echilola,' echibhibhi chemwe chilio.”
Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
