Ebhikolwa bhya Jintumwa 5
1 Kutyo, omunu umwi oyo atogwaga Anania, na Safira omugasi waye, bhagusishe orubhara rwo bhunibhi,
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 naseleka orubhara rwa iyela eyo bhagusha (omugasi waye ona alimenyere linu), naleta orubhara orwo lwasigaye natura mu maguru ga intumwa.
and kept back part of the price, his wife also having knowledge of it; and brought a certain part, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.
3 Mbe nawe Petro naika, “Anania, okubhaki nyakusheta ejusishe omutima gwao okwaika olurimi ku Mwoyo Omweru no kuseleka orubhara lwa lisambu?
But Peter said, Ananias, why did Satan fill thy heart that thou shouldst lie to the Holy Spirit, and keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Oa yaga lichali kugusibhwa, yaga litali bhunibhi bhwao? Na ryejile likagusibhwa, yaga litali mubhuramusi bhwao? Ibhe kutiki ubhe no musango gunu mu mutima gwao? Utabhajiga abhanu, tali wamujiga Nyamuanga.”
While it remained, was it not thine own? And after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? Why didst thou conceive this thing in thy heart? Thou didst not lie to men, but to God.
5 Ejile ongwa emisango jinu, Anania aguye ansi nafwa. No bhubha bhwanfu nibhugwata bhona abho bhunguwe linu.
And Ananias, hearing these words, fell down, and expired. And great fear came on all that heard of it.
6 Abhasigaji mbaja okumutura mwisanda, mbamusila anja okumusika.
And the young men arose, and wrapt him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7 Baada ya masaa gasatu kuti, omugasi waye nengila munyumba, atamenya echo chasokerera.
And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.
8 Petro namubhwira, “Mbwira, labha mwagusishe lisambu kwo bhugusi obhwo.” Naika, “Yee, kwo bhugusi obhwo.”
Peter said to her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much. And she said, Yes, for so much.
9 Petro namubhwira, “Ibhe kutiki mwikilishanye amwi okulegeja Omwoyo gwo Mukama? Rola, amaguru ga bhanu bhasika omurume wao gali kumuryango, abhakubhatura no kukusila anja.”
And Peter said to her, Why is it that ye agreed together to try the Spirit of the Lord? Lo! the feet of those who have buried thy husband are at the door, and they will carry thee out.
10 Nagwa mumaguru ga Petro, nafwa, na bhasigaji bhalia mbagenda munyumba mbamusanga afuye. Mbamubhatura okumusila anja, mbamusika ayeyi no murume waye.
And she fell down immediately at his feet, and expired; and the young men, when they came in, found her dead, and carried her out, and buried her by her husband.
11 Obhubha bhukuru mbuja inguru ya likanisa ryona, na inguru ya bhona abho bhonguwe amagambo ganu.
And great fear came upon all the church, and upon all that heard of these things.
12 Ebhibharikisho bhyanfu ne bhiruguro bhyasokereraga agati ya bhanu okutura kumabhoko ga jintumwa. Bhaliga bhali amwi mwi woyelo lya Sulemani.
And many signs and wonders were wrought among the people by the hands of the apostles; and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13 Mbe nawe, atalio munu undi oyo atasikene aliga no bhuyigi bhwo kugenda nabho; norwo kutyo, bhabhayanile lisima lya inguru na bhanu.
But of the rest no one dared to join himself to them. But the people highly honored them;
14 Ka lindi, abhekirisha bhanfu bhaliga mbagenderera okwijula ku Mukama, obhukumi bhwanfu bhwa bharume na bhagasi,
and more and more were believers added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women;
15 nikakingira akatungu mbabhatura abharwaye mbabhaleta munjira no kubhamamya kumalili na kumakochi, korereki Petro akabha natulao, lilengesi lyaye lituke inguru yebhwe.
so that in the streets they brought out the sick, and laid them on beds and couches, in order that at least the shadow of Peter, as he passed, might overshadow some of them.
16 Ao ona, obhukumi bhwa bhanu bhanfu bhejile okusoka mu misi ejo jaga jijongelee Yerusalemu, mbabhaleta abharwaye bhona abho bhaga bhane mitima mibhibhi, na bhona bheulisibhwe.
The multitude also belonging to the cities around came together to Jerusalem bringing the sick, and those plagued by unclean spirits; and they were all healed.
17 Mbe nawe omugabhisi omukuru emukile, na bhona abho bhaliga bhali amwi nage (abho bha idini ya masadukayo); bhejuye orwango
But the high-priest and all that were with him, which is the sect of the Sadducees, rose up and were filled with indignation,
18 mbagorora amabhoko gebhwe okugwata jintumwa no kubhatura mwibhoyelo lya bhona.
and laid hands on the apostles, and put them in the public prison.
19 No mwanya gwa mungeta malaika wo Mukama negula emirwango ja libhoyelo no kubhasosha anja naika ati,
But an angel of the Lord in the night opened the prison-doors, and brought them forth and said,
20 “Mugende, mujokwimereguru mwi hekalu na mubhabhwile abhanu emisango jona ejo bhuanga bhunu.”
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
21 Bhejile bhongwa linu, bhengiye mwi hekalu omwanya gwa muruguru no kwiigisha. Mbe nawe, omugabhisi omukuru ejile na bhona abho bhaliga bhali nage, nabhilikira libharaja lyona amwi, na bhakaruka bhona bha bhanu bha Israeli, nabhatuma mwibhoyelo okuleta jintumwa.
And hearing this, they went into the temple at daybreak and taught. But the high-priest and they that were with him came and called together the council, and all the elders of the sons of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 Mbe nawe abhakosi abho bhagendele, bhatabhasangiremo mwibhoyelo, mbasubhayo okusira emisango jinu jikorekene,
But the officers that came did not find them in the prison; and they returned and brought word,
23 “Chasanga libhoyelo ligawe kisi, na bhalinzi bhemereguyu kumuryango, mbe nawe chejokwigura, chitaroramo munu.”
saying, The prison we found shut in all security and the keepers standing at the doors: but when we opened them, we found no one within.
24 Mbe oli omulindi omukuru wa lihekalu na bhagabhisi abhakuru bhejile bhongwa emisango jinu, bhengiliwe no bhubha bhunene inguru yebhwe mbeganilisha ogubha kutiki omusango gunu.
And when the priest, and the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were at a loss concerning them, to what this would come.
25 Niwo naja umwi nabhabhwila, “Abhanu abho mwamatura mwibhoyelo bhemereguyu mwi hekalu na abheigisha abhanu.”
But one came and brought them word, Lo! the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people.
26 Kutyo omulindi omukuru nagenda amwi na bhakosi, mbabhaleta, mbe nawe nawe bhatabhajwangishe, kwo kubha bhobhaire abhanu bhakatulile okubhabhuma na mabhwiyi.
Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence, that they might not be stoned; for they feared the people.
27 Bhejile bhabhaleta, mbabhatura imbele ya libharaja, Omugabhisi omukuru nabhabhusha
And having brought them, they set them before the council. And the high-priest questioned them,
28 naika ati, “Chabharagilie muteigisha kwa lisina linu, mbe nawe mugendelee okwijusha Yerusalemu ne riigisho ryemwe, no mwenda okuleta amanyinga go munu unu inguru yeswe.”
saying, We strictly commanded you not to teach in this name, and lo! ye have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and mean to bring this man's blood upon us.
29 Mbe nawe Petro na jintumwa nibhasubhya ati, “Ni bhusi bhusi chimungwe Nyamuanga kuliko abhanu.
But Peter and the apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
30 Nyamuanga wa bhalata bheswe amusuruye Yesu, oyo mwetile, kwo kumusunga inguru ya liti.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew by hanging him on a cross;
31 Nyamuanga amukusishe kwo kubhoko kwaye kwo bhuryo, no kumukora abhe mukuru no mwirusi, okusosha liungamo ku Israeli, na lisasila rye bhikayo.
him hath God exalted by his right hand, as a Leader and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 Eswe chili bhabhambasi bhe misango jinu, no Mwoyo Omweru, oyo Nyamuanga asosishe kwa bho abhamutegeresha.”
And we are his witnesses of these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit which God hath given to those who obey him.
33 Abhakaruka bha libharaja bhejile bhongwa kutya, mbagwatwa ne bhinyiga mbenda okwita jintumwa.
But when they heard this, they were filled with rage, and were resolving to kill them.
34 Mbe nawe falisayo oyo atogwaga Gamalieli, omwiisha we bhiragiro, oyo aliga nayanwa lisima na bhanu bhona, emereguyu naragirira jintumwa bhabhasile anja kwo mwanya mufwiyi.
But there stood up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, in high esteem with all the people, and commanded to put the men forth a little while,
35 Mbe nabhabhwira, “Abharume bha Israeli, murabha no bhwenge muno kugunu omwenda oramura okubhakorera abhanu bhanu.
and said to them [[of the council]], Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves as to what ye are about to do in respect to these men.
36 Kwo kubha, akatungu ka kara, Theuda emukire no kwikora kubha munu mukuru, no bhukumi bhwa bhanu magana gana mbamurubha. Etirwe, na bhanu bhaliga mbamungwa mbanyarambuka no kubhura.
For before these days arose Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and came to nought.
37 Ejile akarabhao unu, Yuda omugalilaya, emukire jinsiku jiliya ejo kubhara abhanu, nakwesha abhanu bhanfu inyuma yaye. Unu ona abhurire na bhanu bhaliga mbamurubha mbanyarambuka.
After this man arose Judas the Galilaean, in the days of the registering, and drew people away after him; he also perished, and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
38 Mbe oli enibhabhwira, mwikenge na abhanu bhanu na mubhasige bhenyere, kwo kubha, labha emilimu jinu ni ja abhanu abhajesa.
And now I say to you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone; for if this design or this work be of men, it will come to nought;
39 Mbe nawe labha ni ja Nyamuanga, mutakutura kubhaganya; omutura okwisanga nimuyagarikana na Nyamuanga.” Kurwejo, mbagwatibhwa ne misango jaye.
but if it be of God, ye will not be able to overthrow them; lest haply ye be found also fighting against God.
40 Mbe, mbabhirikira jintumwa munyumba mbabhabhuma no kubharagirira bhatasimura kwa lisina rya Yesu, mbabhasiga bhagende jebhwe.
And they were persuaded by him; and having called the apostles, they beat them, and commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them.
41 Mbasoka imbele ya libharaja bhakondelewe kwo kubha bhabhalirwa ati jibheire okunyasibhwa no kugaywa kwa injuno ya lisina eryo.
They therefore went away from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame in behalf of that name;
42 Ku rwejo, bhuli lusiku, mbajaga mwi hekalu na bhuli musi bhagendelee okwiigisha no kumusimura Yesu ati niwe Masia.
and every day, in the temple, and in houses, they ceased not to teach, and to publish the glad tidings concerning Jesus the Christ.
