1 Wori Petro na Yohana bhaliga mbagenda mwi hekalu omwanya gwo kusabhwa, saa mwenda.
Peter and John were on their way up to the Temple at the time of the afternoon prayer, around 3 p.m.
2 Omunu kutya, omurema okusoka okwibhurwa, aliga nayekwa bhuli siku na aliga namamibhwa ku muryango gwa lihekalu ogwo ogubhilikirwa omukonde, korereki ature okusabha e bhiyanwa okusoka ku bhanu bhaliga mbagenda mwi hekalu.
A man who had been lame from birth was being carried there. Every day he was placed beside the Temple gate called “Beautiful” so he could beg from the people going into the Temple.
3 Ejire abharora Petro na Yohana mbarebherera okwingira mwi hekalu, nasabhwa ebhiyanwa.
He saw Peter and John as they were about to enter the Temple and asked them for some money.
4 Petro, amukajisishe ameso, amwi na Yohana, aikile, “nuchirore eswe.”
Peter looked right at him. John did, too. “Look at us!” Peter said.
5 Omurema nabharora, netogera okubhona echinu kutya okusoka kubhene.
The lame man gave them his full attention, expecting to get something from them.
6 Nawe Petro naika, “jiyera na jidhaabu anye ntanajo, nawe echo ninacho enisosha kwawe. Kwa lisina lya Yesu Kristo wa Nazareth, libhata.”
“I don't have any silver or gold,” Peter told him, “but I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!”
7 Petro namugega kwo kubhoko kwaye kwe bhuryo, namwimusha inguru: amaguru gaye ne bhikongochwa bhya mawa gaye mbijira amanaga.
Peter took him by the right hand and helped him up. Right away his feet and ankles became strong.
8 Nachuma inguru, omunu omurema nemereguru namba okulibhata; nengira mwi hekalu amwi na Petro na Yohana, nalibhata, nachuma, namukuya Nyamuanga.
He jumped to his feet, and then began to walk. He went with them into the Temple, walking and jumping and praising God.
9 Abhanu bhone bhamurorere nalibhata no kumukuya Nyamuanga.
Everyone there saw him walking around and praising God.
10 Nibhamenya ati liga ali munu uliya oyo aliga neyanja nasabhwa ebhiyanwa ku muryango omukonde gwa lihekalu; nibhejurwa ne chiruguro no kutang'ang'ara kunjuno yecho chasokereye ku mwene.
They recognized him as the beggar who used to sit by the Temple's Beautiful Gate, and they were surprised and amazed at what had happened to him.
11 Kutyo aliga abhagwatirie Petro na Yohana, abhanu bhona amwi nibhabhilimira mu chisunya echo ehibhirikirwa cha Sulemani, nibharugura muno.
He held on tightly to Peter and John while everyone ran to them by Solomon's Porch in complete astonishment at what had happened.
12 Petro ejile alirora linu, omwene nabhasubhya abhanu, “Emwe abhanu bha Israeli, okubhaki omurugura? Okubhaki omurosha ameso gemwe kweswe, korere ati chamkora unu alibhate kwa managa geswe abhene?”
When Peter saw this opportunity he told them, “People of Israel, why are you surprised at what's happened to this man? Why are you staring at us as if it was by our own power or faith that we made him walk?
13 Nyamuanga wa Ibrahimu, no wa Isaka, no wa Yakobo, Nyamuanga wa bhalata bheswe, amukusishe omukosi waye Yesu. Unu niwe oyo emwe mwananire no kumurema imbele yo bhusu bhwa Pilato, nawe omwene aliga aramuye okumutatira obhweru.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of our forefathers—has glorified his servant Jesus. He was the one you betrayed and rejected in the presence of Pilate, even after Pilate had decided to release him.
14 Mwamuremere Mmweru no mulegeresi, na badala yo mwene nimwenda omwiti atatirwe.
You rejected the one who is holy and good, and demanded a murderer be released to you.
15 Emwe mwamwitile Omukama wo bhujima, oyo Nyamuanga amwiruye okusoka mubhafuye eswe ni bhabhambasi bha linu.
You killed the author of life, the one God raised from the dead—and we are witnesses to this.
16 Mbe oli, kwo kwikirisha mwi sina lyaye, omunu unu oyo omumurora no kumenya, akorerwe kubha na managa. Elikirisha eryo elirabha ku Yesu limuyanire omwene obhuanga bhunu bhugumile, imbele yemwe emwe bhona.
By trusting in Jesus' name this man was healed by him. You see this man here; you know him. Through trusting in Jesus this man has received complete healing right in front of all of you.
17 Mbe oli, Bhaili, enimenya ati mwakorere kutyo kwo bhumumu, nikwo kutyo bhakorere abhabhemberesi bhemwe.
Now I know, brothers and sisters, that you did this in ignorance, like your rulers.
18 Nawe amagambo ago Nyamuanga abhabhwiliye bhwangu kwe minwa ja bharagi bhona, ati unu Kristo kajonyaka, oli agamalire.
But God fulfilled what he had prophesied through all the prophets: that his Messiah would suffer.
19 Mbe oli, mwigambe muinduke, korereki ati ebhiyeno bhyemwe bhisosibhweko chimwi, kunsonga gwije omwanya gwo kukondererwa okusokana no kubhao kwo Mukama;
Now repent, and change your ways, that your sins can be wiped away, so the Lord can send opportunities for you to heal and recover,
20 na ati ature okumuragirira Kristo oyo asorerwe kwemwe, Yesu.
and send Jesus, the Messiah appointed for you.
21 Omwene niwe oyo orwire lumuramire mpaka omwanya gwo kusubhya ebhinu bhyona, ebhyo Nyamuanga alomere kara kwe minwa ja bharagi bheru. (aiōn g165)
For he must stay in heaven until the time when everything is restored, as God announced through his holy prophets long ago. (aiōn g165)
22 Ka chimwi Musa aikile, 'Omukama Nyamuanga kemusha omuragi lwanye okusoka mu bhaili bhemwe. Mumutegereshe bhuli chinu echo kabhabhwira emwe.
Moses said, ‘The Lord God will send you a prophet from among your own people who is like me. You must listen to everything he tells you.
23 Eisokerera ati bhuli munu oyo atakutegeresha ku muragi oyo ketibhwa chimwi asoke ku bhanu.'
Anybody who doesn't listen to him will be totally removed from the people.’
24 Yee, na bharagi bhona okusokerera Samweli na bhaliya bharubhile ku mwene, bharomere no kusimura jinsiku jinu.
All the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel on, prophesied about these days.
25 Emwe muri bhana bha bharagi na bha liagano eryo Nyamuanga akorere amwi na bhakaruka, lwa kutyo aikire kwa Abrahamu, 'Mu mbegu yao jinganda jona eja kuchalo ejibharikiwa.'
You are the sons of the prophets, and of the agreement which God made with your fathers when he said to Abraham, ‘From your descendants all the families of the earth will be blessed.’
26 Baada ya Nyamuanga okumukusha omukosi waye, amutumile kwemwe kwamba, korereki abhabariki emwe kwo kuinduka okusoka ku bhiyeno bhyemwe.
God prepared his Servant and sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your evil ways.”
