< 2 Abhakorintho 3 >

1 Mbe, echamba okwikumaga abhene lindi? chitakwenda jinyalubha ejokumwenda okusoka kwimwe ya bhanu, mbe echenda?
Am I beginning again to "recommend" myself? Or do I need, as some do, letters of commendation either to you or from you?
2 Emwe abhene ni inyalubha eswe inu yandikilwe mu mwoyo jeswe, inuimenyelwe no kusomwa na bhanu bhona.
You are my letter, written on my heart, known and read by all men.
3 No mwelesha ati emwe ni nyalubha okusoka ku Kristo, inu isosibwe neswe. Inuyandikilwe atali kwo bwino nawe kwo Mwoyo gwa Nyamuanga unu ali muanga. Itandikilwe ingulu ya mabhao ga mabhui, nawe ingulu ya mabhao ge mitima ja bhana munu.
Since all can see that you are a letter of Christ transcribed by men, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts as tablets.
4 Niko kutyo echiikanya ku Nyamuanga okulabhila ku Kristo. Chitakwiikanya abhene chonachona okusoka kweswe.
Such confidence I have through Christ before God.
5 Okwiikanya kweswe okusoka ku Nyamuanga.
Not that I am sufficient in myself to reach any conclusion in my own wisdom; but my sufficiency is from God.
6 Ni Nyamuanga unu achikolele kubha bhakosi bha indagano inyaya. Inu ni ndagano itali nyalubha nawe ni ya Mwoyo. Kwo kubha inyalubha eita, nawe omwoyo oguleta obhuanga.
It is he who has also made me sufficient as a minister of a new covenant; not of a letter but of a spirit; for the letter kills, but the spirit makes alive.
7 Woli omulimu gwo kufwa gwaliga kusong'owe ingulu ya mabhui yejile kwa likusho ati abhanu bha Israeli bhatalolele kubwambilo obhusu bwa Musa. Inu ni kwo kubha likusho lyo bhusu bwae, likusho linu lyaliga elyo kuwao.
If, however, the administration of death, written with letters and engraved on stones, began in glory, so that the children of Israel could not gaze steadily on the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face - a glory even then fading -
8 Mbe, emilimu jo mwoyo itakubha na likusho?
how much more shall the ministry of the Spirit abide in glory?
9 Kwo kubha okulamula kwaliga na likusho, ni lwakalinga nisakila muno kwa likusho!
For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, far more is the ministry of righteousness radiant in glory.
10 Ni chimali ati, chiliya echochakolelwe likusho kwamba chitana likusho lindi lisima linu, kwo kubha likusho eliyongesha.
Indeed that which once was glorious has lost its glory, because of the glory which surpasses it.
11 Kwo kubha chiliya chinu chaliga nichilabha chaliga na likusho, chiliya chinu ni cho kusakila echibha na likusho!
For if that which was fading came in glory, far more will that which ever abides be glorious.
12 Kwo kubha chili no bwiikanyo eyo, chili no bwiikanyo muno.
Therefore, cherishing such a hope, I use great freedom of speech.
13 Obhusoka lya Musa atulileo ingulu yo bhusu base, koleleki abhanu bha Israeli bhatatula okulola kubwambilo na kubhutelo kwa likusho linu elibhula.
I do not do as Moses did, who used to cover his face with a veil to keep the children of Israel from beholding the passing of a fading glory.
14 Nawe amenge gebwe galiga gegawe. Nolwo olusiku lunu olusigala ingulu yo kusomwa indagano ya kala. Ichali kutulwa abwelu, kwo kubha Kristo umwila kasosibwao kula.
Nay, their minds were made dull; for to this very day, at the public reading of the Old Testament, the same veil rests thereon, because it is not revealed to them that in Christ the veil is taken away.
15 Nawe nolwo lelo, omwanya gwona gwona Musa kasomwao, kayanja ingulu ye mitima jebwe.
Yes, to this very day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies on their hearts;
16 Nawe omunu awo kageuka ku Lata bhugenyi, echisosibwao.
but when their heart turns to our Lord the veil is stripped away.
17 Woli Lata bhugenyi ni Mwoyo. anu kabha Mwoyo wa Lata bhugenyi, nuwo obhufule.
(The Lord means the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord abides there is freedom.)
18 Woli eswe bhona, amwi no bhusu bhutaswikiwe, obhulola likusho lya Lata bhugenyi echiingisibwa munda yo kulolya guli guli kwa likusho okusoka mu likusho okugenda andi, kutyo okusoka ku Lata bhugenyi, unu ni Mwoyo.
And we all, with unveiled faces, reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are ourselves continually being transformed into the same likeness, from glory to glory, as by the Lord, the Spirit.
