< 1 Timotheo 4 >

1 Olyanu Mwoyo Mweru kaikila abhweli ati jinsiku jinu jilija abhanu abhandi bhalisiga elikilisha nokutegelesha emyoyo jo obhujigi na ameigisho ga amasambwa.
Now the Spirit saith expressly, that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
2 Ameigisho ago agasoka kubhabheyi na bhanu abhatema eyi neyi, obhwiganilisha bhwebhwe obhwochibhwa no omulilo.
through the hypocrisy of speakers of lies, who bear a brand on their own conscience,
3 Abhanu abho abhajibhila abhandi okutwala nokubhaganya bhasige okulya ebhilyo bhya imbaga indi, ka Nyamuanga abhiyangile bhilibhwega kwo okusima na abhekilisha na bhanu abhamenya echimali.
forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from food which God created to be received with thanksgiving, for those who believe and know the truth.
4 Kulwokubha bhuli chinu chinu Nyamuanga ayangile nichekisi. Chitaliwo chinu echilya kwo okusima numala nuchilema.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving;
5 Kulwokubha echosibhwa no nomusango gwa Nyamuanga na munjila ya lisabhwa.
for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 Labha ulibha watula emisango jinu imbele yo omuili, ulibha mukosi wekisi wa Yesu Kristo. Kulwokubha ukusibhwe kwe emisango je elikilisha na ameigisho gekisi ganu walubhile.
If thou lay these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good teaching, with which thou art well acquainted.
7 Nawe nuleme jingani jechalo jinu ejendwa na abhagasi abhakokolo. Sigana nago, Iigila awe omwene emisango jo okulamya Nyamuanga.
But avoid the profane and old wives' fables; and exercise thyself unto godliness.
8 Kulwokubha okwitilya kwo omubhili okusakila katyali, tali okulamya Nyamuanga nikwakisi muno ku magambo gona. Kwokubha okuleta omulago gwo obhuwanga mukatungu kanu na kalia akaja.
For bodily exercise is profitable for little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 Obhwaiki bhunu nibhwachimali na nikisi bhukekilisibhwa chimali mali.
True is the saying, and worthy of all acceptance.
10 Kulwokubha kulwa insonga inu echinyakilila nokukola emilimu kwa amanaga muno. Kulwokubha chili no obhuigi ku Nyamuanga owo obhulame, niwe omwelusi wa abhanu bhona, muno muno bhanu bhekilisishe.
For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we have placed our hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of believers.
11 Ugaike no okugeigisha amagambo ganu.
These things command and teach.
12 Omunu wona wona asiga okukugaya ati uli musigaji. Taki ubhe chijejekanyo cha bhona bhanu abhekilisha, kunyaika, intungwa, elyenda, obwekisi, no obhwichumi.
Let no one despise thy youth, but become an example to the believers, in word, in behavior, in love, in faith, in purity.
13 Ubhega nusoma, ubhega nugonya, no okwiigisha okukingila ao nilijila.
Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
14 Wasiga kugaya echiyanwa chinu chili munda yao, chinu wayabhilwe okusoka kubhulagi, kwo okutulilwako amabhoko na abhakaluka.
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Ugayane echibhalo amagambo ganu. Lubhilisha amagambo ago mubhulame bhwao koleleki okukula kwao kumenyekane kutyo mubhanu bhona.
Meditate on these things, give thyself wholly to them; that thy progress may be manifest to all.
16 Gwatilila intungwa yao na wangalile na ameigisho gao. Kulwokubha ukakola kutyo owichungula awe omwene na bhanu abhakutegelesha ona abhachunguka.
Give heed to thyself, and to thy teaching; continue in them; for in doing this thou wilt save both thyself and them that hear thee.
