< 1 Abhakorintho 3 >

1 Nanye, bhamula bhasu na bhayala bhasu, nitalomele nemwe kuti lwa bhanu bhechinyamwoyo, nawe lwa bhanu bhechinyamubhili. Na lwa bhana bhalela mu Kristo.
My brothers and sisters, I couldn't talk with you as spiritual believers, but as worldly people—like baby Christians.
2 Nabhanywesishe amata na jitali nyama, kulwokubha aliga mutemaliliye okulya jinyama. Na woli muchali kwimalilila.
I gave you milk—I couldn't give you solid food to eat, because you weren't ready for it.
3 Kulwokubha emwe muchali bhachinyamubhili. Kulwokubha lifubha no kwikuya okubhonekana agati yemwe. Angu, mutakwikala okulubhana no mubhili, na angu, mutakulibhata lwakutyo jibheile abhana bhanu?
Even now you're not ready for it, because you're still worldly. Since you're still jealous and argumentative, doesn't that show you're worldly, behaving just like ordinary people do?
4 Kulwokubha oumwi kaikati, “Enimulubha Paulo” Oundi kaikati “Enimulubha Apolo,” mutakwikala lwa bhana bhanu?
When one of you says, “I follow Paul,” while another says, “I follow Apollos,” doesn't that show you're being so very human?
5 Apolo niga? na Paulo niga? Abhakosi bha unu mwikilisishe, bhuli unu Latabhugenyi ayanile okukola.
Who is Apollos, anyway? And who is Paul? We're just servants through whom you believed. Each of us does the work God gave us to do.
6 Anye nayambile, Apolo natako amanji, nawe Nyamuanga nakusha.
I did the planting, Apollos did the watering—but it was God who made you grow!
7 Kulwejo, atalyati unu ayambile nolo unu ateeko amanji atana chona chona. Nawe ni Nyamuanga unu kakusha.
So the one who does the planting doesn't count for anything, any more than the one who does the watering. The only one who matters is God who is growing you!
8 Woli unu kayamba na unu katako amanji bhona ni sawa, na bhuli umwi kalamila omuyelo okulubhana ne milimu jae.
The one planting and the one watering have the same goal, and both will be rewarded according to what they've done.
9 Kulwokubha eswe chili bhakosi bha Nyamuanga, emwe ni migunda ja Nyamuanga, inyumba ya Nyamuanga.
We are workers together with God—and you are God's field, his building.
10 Okusokana ne chigongo cha Nyamuanga chinu nayanibhwe kuti mumbaki mukulu, nateewo omusingi, no oundi nombaka ingulu yagwo. Nawe omunu nabhwe mulengelesi kutyo kombakako ingulu yae.
Through the grace of God that he gave to me, I laid down the foundation like a skilled building supervisor. Now someone else is building on it. Whoever does the building needs to watch what they're doing.
11 Kulwokubha atalio undi unu katula okumbaka omusingi ogundi okukila gunu gumbakilwe, gunu guli Yesu Kristo.
For no one can lay any other foundation than what's already laid—that is Jesus Christ.
12 Woli, labha oumwi mwimwe kombaka ingulu yae kwa jijaabhu, Jiela, amabhui go bhugusi bhunene, amati, obhunyasi, nolo amabhabhi,
Those who build on that foundation may use gold, silver, precious stone, wood, hay, or straw—
13 omulimu gwae gulisululwa, kwo bhwelu bhwa mumwisi bhuliisulula. Kulwokubha ilisululwa no mulilo. Omulilo gulilegeja obhwekisi bhwo mulimu gwa bhuli munu kutyo akolele.
but whatever is used to build with will be exposed. For on the Day of Judgment fire will reveal it and test it. Everyone's work will be shown for what it is.
14 Labha chona chona chinu omunu chinu ombakile chikasigala, omwene alibhona omuyelo.
Those whose building survives will be rewarded.
15 Nawe labha omulimu gwo munu gukalungula kwo mulilo, atalibhona muyelo. Nawe omwene alichungulwa, lwakutyo kasoka mumulilo.
Those whose building is burned up will lose out. They will still be saved, but it will be like passing through fire!
16 Mutakumenya ati emwe muli eyekalu lya Nyamuanga na ati Omwoyo gwa Nyamuanga gwikaye munda yemwe?
Don't you know you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?
17 Labha omunu akalinyamula liyekalu lya Nyamuanga, Nyamuanga kamunyamula omunu uliya. Kulwokubha liyekalu lya Nyamuanga ni lyelu, na kutyo nemwe.
Anyone who destroys God's temple will be destroyed by God, for God's temple is holy, and you are the temple.
18 Omunu atajakwijiga omwene, labha wona wona mwimwe ketogelati ali no bhwengeso ku mwanya gunu, nabhe lwo “mumumu” niwo kabha mwengeso. (aiōn g165)
Don't deceive yourselves. If there's anyone of you who thinks they're worldly wise, they should become fools so they can become truly wise! (aiōn g165)
19 Kulwokubha obhwengeso bhwa kuchalo chinu ni bhumumu imbele ya Nyamuanga, Kulwokubha jandikilwe, “Kakoma abho bhwengeso kubhulige lige bhwebhwe”
This world's wisdom is plain foolishness to God. As Scripture says, “He uses the cleverness of the wise to catch them out,”
20 Na lindi “Latabhugenyi kamenya obhwiganilisha bhwa bhengeso ati ni bhutamu tamu.”
and “The Lord knows the arguments of the wise are pointless.”
21 Kulwejo omunu ataja kwikuisha abhana bhanu! Kulwokubha ebhinu bhyona ni bhyemwe.
So don't boast about people. For you have everything,
22 Labha ni Paulo, nolo Apolo, nolo Kefa, nolo echalo, nolo obhulame, nolo lufu, nolo bhinu bhinu bhilio, nolo bhinu bhilibhao. Byona ni bhyemwe.
whether it's Paul or Apollos or Peter—or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future. You have everything—
23 nemwe muli bha Kristo na Kristo niwa Nyamuanga.
and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
