< 1 Abhakorintho 14 >

1 Mulubhega okwenda no kwenda muno ebhiyanwa ebhya mu Mwoyo, nawe kukilao muno mubhone okusosha obhulagi.
Strive to possess love; and desire earnestly the spiritual gifts, but especially that of prophesying.
2 Kulwo kubha mwenene unu kaika mu nyaika atakwaika na bhanu nawe kaika Nyamuanga. Kulwo kubha atalio unu kamenya kunsonga kaika emisango jinu jiselekele mu Mwoyo.
For he that speaketh in an [[unknown]] tongue speaketh not to men, but to God; for no one heareth; but in the Spirit he speaketh mysteries;
3 Mbe nawe omwene unu kasosha obhulagi, kaika na bhanu no kubhombaka, no bhasimbagilisha, no kubhasilisha.
but he that prophesieth speaketh to men edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
4 Omwene unu kaika mu nyaika keyumbaka omwene, mbe nawe unu kasosha obhulagi kalyumbaka likanisa.
He that speaketh in an [[unknown]] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
5 Woli enenda ati emwe bhone mwaike mu nyaika. Mbe nawe kukilao ejo jone, enenda ati musoshega obhulagi. Unu kasosha obhulagi ni mukulu kukila unu kaika mu nyaika (mbe nawe abheo owokugajula), koleleki ati likanisa libhone okumbakwa.
I would that ye all spoke with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied; for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, unless he interpret, that the church may receive edification.
6 Mbe nawe woli, mumula wasu na bhayala bhasu, nikabhajako kwo kwaika kwa inyaika yo lulimi lundi, okubhakomesha chinuki emwe? Nitakutula, atali enaika nemwe mu njila yo kuswelulilwa amwi mu njila yo bhengeso, amwi mu bhulagi, amwi mu njila ya ameigisho.
But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by teaching?
7 Ikabha ebhinu bhinu bhitana bhuanga lwo lukuli amwi litungu bhikalema okusosha obhulaka bhunu bhutasikene, ebhumenyekana atiki ati chinu ni chinu-ki chinu echenywa?
And even things without life that give sound, whether pipe or harp, if they make no distinction in the sounds, how shall that be known which is piped or harped?
8 Kulwo kubha ikabha linyawegona likasosha obhulaka bhunu bhutakumenyekana, okulubhana naki omunu kamenya ati omwana gunu nigwo kwiikanya lilemo?
For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself for the battle?
9 Nkokutyo nemwe. Mukasosha kwo lulimi omusango gunu gutali abhwelu, ni kulubhana naki omunu kamenya chinu omwaika? Omutula okubha nimwaika, mbe nawe atalio unu katula okubhelelwa.
So also ye, unless ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall that be known which is spoken? For ye will be speaking into the air.
10 Kutaliwo kwitimata ati jilio inyaika nyafu mu ndimi nyafu-nyafu muchalo, na italio nolwo imwi inu itana nsonga.
There are, it may be, so many kinds of languages in the world, and not one is without meaning.
11 Mbe nawe alabha nitakumenya nsonga ya jinyaka, enibha mugenyi ku mwene ku unu kaika, na unu kaika kabha mugenyi kwanye.
If then I know not the meaning of the language, I shall be to him that speaketh a foreigner, and he that speaketh a foreigner to me.
12 Nikwo kutyo nemwe. Kulwo kubha mukenele muno okulola okubhulisibhwa okwa Mwoyo, mwende ati mwongeshe muno okulyumbaka likanisa.
So also ye, since ye are eager to possess spiritual gifts, be earnest to abound in them to the edification of the church.
13 kwibhyo, unu kaika kwa jinyaika na nasabhwe koleleki ayanwe okugajula.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an [[unknown]] tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 Kulwo kubha nikasabhwa mu nyaika, omwoyo gwani one ogusabhwa, mbe nawe obhwenge bhwani bhitana matwasho.
For if I pray in an [[unknown]] tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 Nikole-ki? Enisabhwa kwo Mwoyo gwani, mbe nawe one enisabhwa kwo bhwenge bhwani. Enimba kwo Mwoyo gwani, na enimba kwo bhwenge bhwani one.
How stands it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16 Kujindi jone, ukamukuya Nyamuanga kwo Mwoyo, omwene unu ali mugenyi ketabhwa atiki “Amina” Anu ousosha isime, na akabha atakujimenya jinu owaika?
Else, if thou bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the place of the unlearned say the Amen at thy giving of thanks, since he understandeth not what thou art saying?
17 Kulwo kubha ni chimali ati awe wasima kisi, mbe nawe oundi uliya atakumbakwa.
For thou indeed givest thanks well; but the other is not edified.
18 Enimusima Nyamuanga kulwo kubha enaika mu nyaika nyafu kukila nemwe bhone.
I thank God, I speak in an [[unknown]] tongue more than ye all;
19 Mbe nawe mwikanisa ni akili naike misango etanu kwo bhumenyi bhwani koleleki nibhone okubheigisha abhandi, kukila okwaika misango bhiumbi ekumi mu nyaika.
yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might also instruct others, than ten thousand words in an [[unknown]] tongue.
20 Bhamula bhasu na bhayala bhasu, mwasiga kubha bhana bhatoto mu kwiganilisha kwemwe. Amwi nejo, okulubhana no bhunyamuke, nimubhe lwa bhana abhalela. Mbe nawe mu kwiganilisha kwemwe mubhee bhanu bhakulu.
Brethren, do not become children in understanding; yet in malice be children, but in understanding be men.
21 Jandikilwe mu bhilagilo ati, “Mu bhanu bha nyaika indi na mu minwa eja bhagenyi nilwaika na bhanu bhanu. Nolwo kutyo bhatalinyungwa,” kaika Latabhugenyi.
In the Law it is written: “With men of other tongues and with other lips will I speak to this people,
and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.” Wherefore the tongues are for a sign, not to believers, but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers, but for believers.
23 Mbe, likabha likanisa lyona likofyanyishe amwi na bhona nibhaika mu nyaika indi, bhagenyi na bhanu bhatekilisishe one bhengiyemo, angu bhatakutula okwaika ati bhanu ni bhasasi?
If therefore the whole church be assembled in one place, and all be speaking with tongues, and there come in those who are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 Mbe nawe akabha bhona nimusosha obhulagi na unu atekilisishe amwi mugenyi engiyemo, kakongibhwa nejo kongwa. kalamulwa nejo ejaikwa.
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that is an unbeliever, or unlearned, he is convinced by all, he is searched through by all,
25 Jimbisike jo Mwoyo gwaye jakasuluywe. Mukubhonekana kwaye, akaguye bhwifumbike no kumulamya Nyamuanga. Na akekilisishe ati Nyamuanga ali agati yemwe.
the secrets of his heart become manifest; and so falling down on his face, he will worship God, and report that God is indeed within you.
26 Woli ni chinuki chinu echilubha, bhamula na bhayala bhasu? Ungwa mukabhuga- ngana amwi, bhuli umwi ali no lwimbo lwo kusilisha, anameigisho, ano kuswelulilwa, ali no lulimi lundi, amwi okugajula. Nimukole bhuli chinu koleleki ati mulyumbake likanisa.
How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a lesson of instruction, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath an interpretation; let all things be done for edification.
27 Alabha wone wine kaika mu lulimi lundi, bhabheo bhanu bhabhili amwi bhasatu, na bhuli umwi nibhabhalanwa. No munu ni bhusi-bhusi agajule chinu echaikwa.
If any one speak in an [[unknown]] tongue, let it be by two, or, at the most, by three, and in turn; and let one interpret.
28 Mbe nawe alabha atalio munu wo kugajula, mbe bhuli umwi webhwe enyanje ajibhile jibhi mwikanisa. Mbe bhuli umwi aike enyele-la na ku Nyamuanga.
But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Na bhalagi bhabhili amwi bhasatu bhaike, na abhandi bhategeleshe no kusombokelwa chinu chaikwa.
And of the prophets let two or three speak, and let the others judge;
30 Mbe nawe unu enyanjile no kuswelulilwa no musango mu bhufulubhendi, unu saga naika najibhile.
if anything be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first speaker be silent.
31 Kulwo kubha bhuli umwi wemwe katula okusosha obhulagi oumwi akamala oundi nalubha koleleki ati bhuli umwi atule okwiigila na bhone bhatule okusimbagilisibhwa.
For one by one ye can all prophesy, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted.
32 Kulwo kubha emyoyo ja bhalagi jili emwalo yo bhwangalisi bhwa abhalagi.
And spirits of prophets are subject to prophets;
33 Kulwo kubha Nyamuanga atali Nyamuanga wo bhunyamuke, mbe nawe wo mulembe. Lwakutyo jili mu mwikanisa gona aga bhekilisha,
for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
34 kubheile abhagasi bhenyanje mukanisa nibhajibhila jibhi. Kulwo kubha bhatakwikilisibhwa okwaika. Amwi nejo, kubheile bhabhe bhololo, lwa kutyo one ebhilagilo ebhyaika.
let your women keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted them to speak, but they are to be in subjection, as also saith the Law.
35 Alabha chilio chone chone chinu abhenda okwiigila, mbe nibhabhabhushe abhalume bhebhwe ika. Kulwo kubha ni nswalo omugasi okuloma mwikanisa.
And if they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is a shame for a woman to speak in the church.
36 Angu omusango gwa Nyamuanga gusokele kwemwe? Nangu gubhakingiye emwe-la?
What! Did the word of God come forth from you? Or did it come to you alone?
37 Nolwo omunu akelola ati ni mulagi amwi we chinyamwoyo, jimwiile ajimenye emisango jinu enibhandikila ati ni malagililo aga Latabhugenyi.
If any one thinketh himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him know surely that the directions I am writing to you are the Lord's;
38 Mbe nawe akalema okumenya jinu, mumusige abhao.
but if any one be ignorant, let him be ignorant!
39 Kwibhyo woli, bhamula na bhayala bhasu, mwende muno okusosha obhulagi, na mwasiga kumuganya munu wone wone unu kaika kwa jindimi ejindi.
Wherefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues;
40 Mbe nawe emisango jone jikoleke kwo bhwekisi na kwo bhwiti.
but let all things be done becomingly, and in order.
