ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು 16

1 ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಚೀಟು ಬಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಉಂಟಾದ ಸೊತ್ತಿನ ವಿವರ: ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಜಲದವರೆಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು.

The lot came out for the descendants of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.

2 ಬೇತೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ಲೂಜ್ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅರ್ಕಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗಳಾದ ಅಟಾರೋತನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ,

It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites at Ataroth;

3 ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಕ್ಕೆ ಯಫ್ಲೇಟ್ಯರ ಮೇರೆಗೂ ಕೆಳಗಡೆಯಾದ ಬೇತ್ ಹೋರೋನ್ ಮೇರೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಗೆಜೆರಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೆಡಿಟೆರಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.

and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Lower Beth Horon, even to Gezer; and ended at the sea.

4 ಹೀಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮರು ತಮಗೆ ಸೊತ್ತಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.

The descendants of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

5 ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಹೀಗಿತ್ತು: ಪೂರ್ವದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಅಟಾರೋತ್ ಅದ್ದಾರಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ, ಮೇಲಿನ ಬೇತ್ ಹೋರೋನಿನವರೆಗೂ ಇತ್ತು.

This was the border of the descendants of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Upper Beth Horon.

6 ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮೆಡಿಟೆರಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮಿಕ್ಮೆತಾತಿನಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನತ್ ಶೀಲೋವಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಯಾನೋಹಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರ್ವದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು.

The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north of Termah. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.

7 ಯಾನೋಹದಿಂದ ಅಟಾರೋತ್‌ಗೂ ನಾರಾ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಳಿದು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಗೆ ಮುಗಿಯುವುದು.

It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naaratah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

8 ತಪ್ಪೂಹದಿಂದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದ ಮೇರೆಯೂ ಕಾನಾ ನದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೆಡಿಟೆರೆನಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರದವರೆಗೆ ಮುಗಿಯುವುದು. ಇದು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗೋತ್ರ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ದೊರೆತ ಸೊತ್ತು.

From Tappuah the border went along westward to Wadi Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Ephraim according to their families;

9 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನಸ್ಸೆ ಗೋತ್ರದವರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಕೊಡಲಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

together with the cities which were set apart for the descendants of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the descendants of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

10 ಅವರು ಗೆಜೆರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸದೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ, ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರು ಈವರೆಗೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಸತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

They did not drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.
