ಯೋಬನು 10

1 “ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನವೇ ನನಗೆ ಬೇಸರವಾಗಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ನುಡಿಯುವೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಕಹಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು.

My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

2 ನಾನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ: ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮಗಿರುವ ಆಪಾದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ.

I will say to God, Do not condemn me; show me why thou contendest with me.

3 ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೃತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜುವುದೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯೋ? ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವಿರೋ? ನೀವು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವಿರೋ?

Is it good to thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?

4 ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಂಸದ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳುಂಟೋ? ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನೋಡುವಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ನೋಡುತ್ತೀರೋ?

Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?

5 ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ದಿನಗಳ ಹಾಗಿವೆಯೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ವರ್ಷಗಳಂತಿವೆಯೋ?

Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man’s days,

6 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ; ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ನಿಮಗೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.

That thou enquirest after my iniquity, and searchest after my sin?

7 ನಾನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ?

Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thy hand.

8 “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದೆ, ನೀವೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದವರು; ಈಗ ನೀವೇ ನನಗೆ ವಿಮುಖರಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವಿರಾ?

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me in all my parts; yet thou dost destroy me.

9 ನೀವು ಕುಂಬಾರನ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಈಗ ನೀವೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವಿರೋ?

Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?

10 ನೀವು ಹಾಲಿನಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಮೊಸರಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೆಪ್ಪುಗಟ್ಟಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?

11 ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ಚರ್ಮವನ್ನೂ, ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನೂ ನನಗೆ ಹೊದಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನೀವು ಎಲುಬು ನರಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಣೆದಿರುವಿರಿ.

Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.

12 ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಜೀವ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ, ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪರಾಮರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy care hath preserved my spirit.

13 “ಆದರೂ ನೀವು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಇದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ:

And these things hast thou hid in thy heart: I know that this is with thee.

14 ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದು ನನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸದೇ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದೇ.

If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from my iniquity.

15 ನಾನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ! ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನ ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಲಾರೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ತುಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಾನು ಬಾಧೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಳುಗಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

If I be wicked, woe to me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou my affliction;

16 ನಾನು ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿದರೆ, ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ; ನನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವಿರಿ.

For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou showest thyself marvellous upon me.

17 ಹೊಸ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತರುತ್ತೀರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಅಲೆ ಅಲೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿವೆ.

Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thy indignation upon me; changes and war are against me.

18 “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಏಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ಯಾರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

Why then hast thou brought me forth from the womb? O that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!

19 ನಾನು ಬದುಕಿರದೇ, ಗರ್ಭದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೇ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಸೇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.

I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.

20 ನನ್ನ ಅಲ್ಪದಿನಗಳು ಮುಗಿದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ಆನಂದಿಸಲು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಿರಿ.

Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,

21 ನಾನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲಾಗದ ಮಬ್ಬಾಗಿರುವ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಲಿರುವೆನು.

Before I go to the place from which I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;

22 ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲೂ, ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವೂ ಮರಣದ ತುಂಬಿರುವುದು. ಕ್ರಮವಿಲ್ಲದ ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕೂ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯೇ.”

A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.
