ಅರಸುಗಳು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 20
1 ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ರೋಗದಿಂದ ಮರಣಾವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಆಮೋಚನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೋ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಬದುಕದೆ ಸಾಯುವೆ, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, "Thus says Jehovah, 'Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.'"
2 ಆಗ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಗೋಡೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ,
Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Jehovah, saying,
3 “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಸತ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ವ್ಯಥೆಪಟ್ಟು ಅತ್ತನು.
"Remember now, Jehovah, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight." Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಆವರಣದ ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮುಂಚೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು,
It happened, before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court, that the word of Jehovah came to him, saying,
5 ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ನಾಯಕನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆ.
"Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, 'Thus says Jehovah, the God of David your father, "I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Look, I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the house of Jehovah.
6 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ, ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ, ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಾಪಾಡುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು,” ಎಂದರು.
I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake."'"
7 ಆಗ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಉಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು. ಅವರು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಹುಣ್ಣಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಗುಣಹೊಂದಿದನು.
Isaiah said, "Take a cake of figs." They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
8 ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುವರೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಗುರುತೇನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "What shall be the sign that Jehovah will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of Jehovah the third day?"
9 ಯೆಶಾಯನು, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ತಾವು ಹೇಳಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವರೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಗುರುತು, ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
Isaiah said, "This shall be the sign to you from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?"
10 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು, “ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ, ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು,” ಎಂದನು.
Hezekiah answered, "It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps."
11 ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ, ದೇವರು ಆಹಾಜನ ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋದ ನೆರಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
Isaiah the prophet cried to Jehovah; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.
12 ಅದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲದಾನನ ಮಗನೂ, ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಮೆರೋದಕ್ ಬಲದಾನ್ ಎಂಬವನು, ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಉಡುಗೊರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
At that time Marduk-Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick, and had recovered.
13 ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಅವರ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ಬಂಗಾರ, ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಪರಿಮಳ ತೈಲ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳಿರುವ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಆಯುಧ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಭಂಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ತನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸದಿದ್ದ ವಸ್ತುವು ಒಂದೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Hezekiah was delighted at this, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah did not show them.
14 ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳಿದರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು, “ಅವರು ಬಹುದೂರ ದೇಶವಾದ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದವರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him, "What did these men say? From where did they come to you?" Hezekiah said, "They have come from a far country, even from Babylon."
15 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಪುನಃ ಅವನನ್ನು, “ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು, “ನನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಅವರು ನೋಡಿದರು, ನನ್ನ ಭಂಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸದೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
He said, "What have they seen in your house?" Hezekiah answered, "They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them."
16 ಆಗ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು:
Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of Jehovah.
17 ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವ ದಿವಸ ಬರುವುದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
'Look, the days come, that all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store to this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left,' says Jehovah.
18 ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನವರು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವಂಥ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವರು, ಅವರು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ರಾಜನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಚುಕಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವರು,” ಎಂದನು.
'Of your sons who shall issue from you, whom you shall father, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'"
19 ಆಗ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು, “ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅವನು, ಹೇಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನವು, ಭದ್ರತೆಯೂ ಇರುವುವು, ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The word of Jehovah which you have spoken is good." He said moreover, "Isn't it so, if peace and truth shall be in my days?"
20 ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಇತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವೂ ಅವನು ಕೆರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
21 ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
Hezekiah slept with his fathers; and Manasseh his son reigned in his place.
