ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 8

1 ೧ ಪ್ರಧಾನಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು; ಗಿತ್ತೀಯ ರಾಗದಿಂದ ಹಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು; ದಾವೀದನದು. ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮವು ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಹಿಮೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು. ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀ.

For the Leader; upon the Gittith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how glorious is Thy name in all the earth! whose majesty is rehearsed above the heavens.

2 ೨ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತು ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ, ನೀನು ಬಾಲಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಲೆಕೂಸುಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಉಂಟಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast Thou founded strength, because of Thine adversaries; that Thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 ೩ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನೂ, ನೀನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ಚಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ನೋಡುವಾಗ,

When I behold Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast established;

4 ೪ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರದವನು, ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಏಕೆ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಬೇಕು? ಮಾನವನು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು? ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಡಬೇಕು?

What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou thinkest of him?

5 ೫ ಅವನನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗಿಂತ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ; ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಿರೀಟವಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಿ.

Yet Thou hast made him but little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 ೬ ನೀನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದಿ.

Thou hast made him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under His feet:

7 ೭ ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುರಿ, ದನಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳು,

Sheep and oxen, all of them, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 ೮ ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೀನುಗಳು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಜೀವಜಂತುಗಳು, ಇವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲವೇ.

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea; whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 ೯ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮವು ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಹಿಮೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು.

O LORD, our Lord, how glorious is Thy name in all the earth!
