ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 140

1 ೧ ಪ್ರಧಾನಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು, ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಕೆಡುಕರಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸು, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕಾಪಾಡು.

For the end, a Psalm of David. Rescue me, O Lord, from the evil man; deliver me from the unjust man.

2 ೨ ಅವರು ಕೇಡು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಜಗಳವೆಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Who have devised injustice in their hearts; all the day they prepared war.

3 ೩ ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ ಹದಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರ ತುಟಿಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಾವಿನ ವಿಷವಿದೆ. (ಸೆಲಾ)

They have sharpened their tongue as [the tongue] of a serpent; the poison of asps is under their lips. (Pause)

4 ೪ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸು. ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಡವಿಸಿಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Keep me, O Lord, from the hand of the sinner; rescue me from unjust men; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

5 ೫ ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠರು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗುಪ್ತಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಉರುಲನ್ನೂ, ಪಾಶಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಡ್ಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲೆಹಾಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ನನಗಾಗಿ ಬಲೆಬೀಸಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. (ಸೆಲಾ)

The proud have hid a snare for me, and have stretched out ropes [for] snares for my feet; they set a stumbling-block for me near the path. (Pause)

6 ೬ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು,

I said to the Lord, Thou art my God; hearken, O Lord, to the voice of my supplication.

7 ೭ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಆಶ್ರಯದುರ್ಗವೇ, ಯುದ್ಧ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ಶಿರಸ್ತ್ರಾಣ,

O Lord God, the strength of my salvation; thou hast screened my head in the day of battle.

8 ೮ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ದುಷ್ಟರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಂತೆ, ಅವರ ಆಶೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಬೇಡ, ಅವರ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಗಗೊಡಿಸಬೇಡ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. (ಸೆಲಾ)

Deliver me not, O Lord, to the sinner, according to my desire: they have devised [mischief] against me; forsake me not, lest they should be exalted. (Pause)

9 ೯ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವರ ತುಟಿಗಳ ಕೇಡು ಅವರ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಬರಲಿ,

[As for] the head of them that compass me, the mischief of their lips shall cover them.

10 ೧೦ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಂಡಗಳು ಸುರಿಯಲಿ, ಅವರು ಅಗ್ನಿಕುಂಡದೊಳಕ್ಕೂ, ಆಳವಾದ ತಗ್ಗಿನೊಳಕ್ಕೂ ದೊಬ್ಬಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿ ಏಳದಿರಲಿ.

Coals of fire shall fall upon them on the earth; and thou shalt cast them down in afflictions: they shall not bear up [under them].

11 ೧೧ ಚಾಡಿಗಾರನು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯನು, ಕೇಡು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವುದು.

A talkative man shall not prosper on the earth: evils shall hunt the unrighteous man to destruction.

12 ೧೨ ಯೆಹೋವನು ದೀನರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವನೆಂತಲೂ, ಬಡವರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವನೆಂತಲೂ ಬಲ್ಲೆನು.

I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the poor, and the right of the needy ones.

13 ೧೩ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವರು, ಯಥಾರ್ಥರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕುವರು.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks to thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
