ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 7

1 ೧ ಕಂದಾ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೋ, ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಧಿಯಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ.

MY son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.

2 ೨ ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣುಗುಡ್ಡೆಯಂತೆ ಪಾಲಿಸು, ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಳು.

Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

3 ೩ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಂಗುರವಾಗಿ ಧರಿಸಿಕೋ, ಹೃದಯದ ಹಲಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದುಕೋ.

Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

4 ೪ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಅಕ್ಕಾ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು, ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು, “ಪ್ರಿಯೇ” ಎಂದು ಕರೆ.

Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

5 ೫ ಅವು ಜಾರಳಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಸವಿಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವು.

That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.

6 ೬ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಕಿಟಕಿಯ ಜಾಲರಿಯಿಂದ ಇಣಿಕಿ ನೋಡಲು

For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,

7 ೭ ಅಲ್ಪಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಅನೇಕ ಯುವಕರು ಕಾಣಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು.

And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

8 ೮ ಅವನು ಸಂಜೆಯ ಮೊಬ್ಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಅಂಧಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ,

Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,

9 ೯ ಅವಳ ಮನೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ, ಅವಳ ಮನೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು.

In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:

10 ೧೦ ಇಗೋ ವೇಶ್ಯಾರೂಪವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕಪಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡಳು.

And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

11 ೧೧ ಇವಳು ಕೂಗಾಟದವಳು, ಹಟಮಾರಿ, ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲತಕ್ಕವಳೇ ಅಲ್ಲ;

(She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:

12 ೧೨ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವಳು, ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಚೌಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವಳು, ಅಂತು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮೂಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುವಳು.

Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

13 ೧೩ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಮುದ್ದಾಡಿ ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆಟ್ಟವಳಾಗಿ,

So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,

14 ೧೪ “ಎಲೈ, ಈ ದಿನ ನನ್ನ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಯಜ್ಞಶೇಷವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿದೆ,

I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

15 ೧೫ ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಬಂದೆನು, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಹುಡುಕಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆನು.

Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

16 ೧೬ ನನ್ನ ಮಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಪ್ಪತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ನೂಲಿನ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

17 ೧೭ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ರಕ್ತಬೋಳ, ಅಗುರು, ಲವಂಗ, ಚಕ್ಕೆ ಇವುಗಳ ಚೂರ್ಣಗಳಿಂದ ಸುವಾಸನೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 ೧೮ ಬಾ, ಬೆಳಗಿನ ತನಕ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ರಮಿಸುವ, ಕಾಮವಿಲಾಸಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುವ.

Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.

19 ೧೯ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ, ದೂರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:

20 ೨೦ ಹಣದ ಗಂಟನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಗೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಳು.

He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

21 ೨೧ ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸವಿಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಮನವೊಲಿಸಿ, ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.

With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

22 ೨೨ ಹೋರಿಯು ವಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೂ, ಬೇಡಿಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವಂತೆಯೂ,

He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

23 ೨೩ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯು ಬಲೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಾಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ, ಬಾಣವು ತನ್ನ ಕಾಳಿಜವನ್ನು ತಿವಿಯುವ ಮೇರೆಗೂ, ಅವನು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಅವಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.

24 ೨೪ ಈಗ, ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿರಿ.

Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

25 ೨೫ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವಳ ನಡತೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗದಿರಲಿ, ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗಿಯೂ ಅವಳ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಡ.

Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

26 ೨೬ ಅವಳಿಂದ ಗಾಯಪಟ್ಟು ಬಿದ್ದವರು ಬಹು ಜನರು, ಹತರಾದವರೋ ಲೆಕ್ಕವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

27 ೨೭ ಅವಳ ಮನೆಯು ಪಾತಾಳದ ದಾರಿ, ಅದು ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನ ಅಂತಃಪುರಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದುಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. (Sheol h7585)

Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
