ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 4

1 ೧ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ತಂದೆಯ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ.

Heare, O ye children, the instruction of a father, and giue eare to learne vnderstanding.

2 ೨ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸುಬೋಧೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.

For I doe giue you a good doctrine: therefore forsake yee not my lawe.

3 ೩ ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಅಧೀನನಾದ ಮಗನೂ, ತಾಯಿಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೋಮಲನಾದ ಏಕಪುತ್ರನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೆನು.

For I was my fathers sonne, tender and deare in the sight of my mother,

4 ೪ ಆಗ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಬೋಧಕನಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ, ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳು.

When he taught me, and sayde vnto me, Let thine heart holde fast my woordes: keepe my commandements, and thou shalt liue.

5 ೫ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆ, ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸು, ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ತೋರಿಸಬೇಡ.

Get wisedom: get vnderstading: forget not, neither decline from the woordes of my mouth.

6 ೬ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬಿಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದು, ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವುದು.

Forsake her not, and shee shall keepe thee: loue her and shee shall preserue thee.

7 ೭ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ಜ್ಞಾನಬೋಧೆಯ ಪ್ರಥಮಪಾಠ, ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಿಂದಲೂ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆ.

Wisedome is the beginning: get wisedome therefore: and aboue all thy possession get vnderstanding.

8 ೮ ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಳು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಭಾವಿಸಿದರೆ ಆಕೆಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತಿಗೆ ತರುವಳು, ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸುವಳು.

Exalt her, and she shall exalt thee: she shall bring thee to honour, if thou embrace her.

9 ೯ ಆಕೆಯು ನಿನ್ನ ತಲೆಗೆ ಅಂದದ ಪುಷ್ಪಮಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು, ಸುಂದರ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವಳು.”

She shall giue a comely ornamet vnto thine head, yea, she shall giue thee a crowne of glorie.

10 ೧೦ ಕಂದಾ, ಗಮನಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವವು.

Heare, my sonne, and receiue my wordes, and the yeeres of thy life shalbe many.

11 ೧೧ ನಾನು ಜ್ಞಾನಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿ, ಧರ್ಮಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವೆನು.

I haue taught thee in ye way of wisedom, and led thee in the pathes of righteousnesse.

12 ೧೨ ನೀನು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಓಡಿದರೆ ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Whe thou goest, thy gate shall not be strait, and when thou runnest, thou shalt not fall.

13 ೧೩ ಸದುಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೋ, ಸಡಿಲಬಿಡಬೇಡ, ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ, ಅದೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವವು.

Take holde of instruction, and leaue not: keepe her, for shee is thy life.

14 ೧೪ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಬೇಡ, ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಡ.

Enter not into the way of the wicked, and walke not in the way of euill men.

15 ೧೫ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಡ, ಅದರಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆ.

Auoide it, and goe not by it: turne from it, and passe by.

16 ೧೬ ಕೇಡುಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಬಾರದು; ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಎಡವಿಬೀಳಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರ ನಿದ್ರೆಗೆ ಭಂಗವಾಗುವುದು.

For they can not sleepe, except they haue done euill, and their sleepe departeth except they cause some to fall.

17 ೧೭ ದುಷ್ಟತನವೇ ಅವರ ಆಹಾರ; ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವೇ ಅವರ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಪಾನ.

For they eate the breade of wickednesse, and drinke the wine of violence.

18 ೧೮ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾ ಬರುವ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಬೆಳಕಿನಂತಿದೆ.

But the way of the righteous shineth as the light, that shineth more and more vnto the perfite day.

19 ೧೯ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವೋ ಕತ್ತಲಿನಂತಿದೆ; ತಾವು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಡವಿಬಿದ್ದೆವೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗದು.

The way of the wicked is as the darkenes: they knowe not wherein they shall fall.

20 ೨೦ ಕಂದಾ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸು, ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.

My sonne, hearken vnto my wordes, incline thine eare vnto my sayings.

21 ೨೧ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪದಿರಲಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದೊಳಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ.

Let them not depart from thine eyes, but keepe them in the middes of thine heart.

22 ೨೨ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವವರಿಗೆ ಅವು ಜೀವವು, ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವೇ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವು.

For they are life vnto those that find them, and health vnto all their flesh.

23 ೨೩ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಬಹು ಜಾಗರೂಕತೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ, ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಜೀವಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳು ಹೊರಡುವವು.

Keepe thine heart with all diligence: for thereout commeth life.

24 ೨೪ ಸೊಟ್ಟಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸಿಬಿಡು, ಕೆಟ್ಟ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ದೂರಮಾಡು.

Put away from thee a froward mouth, and put wicked lippes farre from thee.

25 ೨೫ ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸು, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿ.

Let thine eyes beholde the right, and let thine eyelids direct thy way before thee.

26 ೨೬ ನೀನು ನಡೆಯುವ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮಮಾಡು, ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೃಢವಾಗಿರುವವು.

Ponder the path of thy feete, and let all thy waies be ordred aright.

27 ೨೭ ಎಡಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಬಲಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ತಿರುಗಬೇಡ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲನ್ನು ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ದೂರಮಾಡು.

Turne not to the right hande, nor to the left, but remooue thy foote from euill.
