ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 10

1 ೧ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನಿಂದ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಆನಂದ, ಅಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನಿಂದ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ದುಃಖ.

The parablis of Salomon. A wijs sone makith glad the fadir; but a fonned sone is the sorewe of his modir.

2 ೨ ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ, ಧರ್ಮವು ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವಂತದ್ದು.

Tresouris of wickidnesse schulen not profite; but riytfulnesse schal delyuere fro deth.

3 ೩ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಹಸಿವೆಗೊಳಿಸನು, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

The Lord schal not turmente the soule of a iust man with hungur; and he schal distrie the tresouns of vnpitouse men.

4 ೪ ಜೋಲುಗೈ ದಾರಿದ್ರ್ಯ, ಚುರುಕು ಕೈ ತರುವುದು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ.

A slow hond hath wrouyt nedynesse; but the hond of stronge men makith redi richessis. Forsothe he that enforsith to gete `ony thing bi leesyngis, fedith the wyndis; sotheli the same man sueth briddis fleynge.

5 ೫ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಸುವವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು, ಕೊಯ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೂಕಡಿಸುವವನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆಟ್ಟವನು.

He that gaderith togidere in heruest, is a wijs sone; but he that slepith in sommer, is a sone of confusioun.

6 ೬ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ತಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದ ನೆಲೆ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವೇ ಮುಚ್ಚಳ.

The blessing of God is ouer the heed of a iust man; but wickidnesse hilith the mouth of wickid men.

7 ೭ ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಕ್ಕಾಸ್ಪದ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಾಮವು ನಿರ್ನಾಮಕಾಸ್ಪದ.

The mynde of a iust man schal be with preisingis; and the name of wickid men schal wexe rotun.

8 ೮ ಜ್ಞಾನಹೃದಯನು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವನು, ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡುವನು.

A wijs man schal resseyue comaundementis with herte; a fool is betun with lippis.

9 ೯ ನಿರ್ದೋಷದ ನಡತೆಯವನು ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವನು, ವಕ್ರಮಾರ್ಗಿಯು ಬೈಲಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವನು.

He that goith simpli, goith tristili; but he that makith schrewid hise weies, schal be opyn.

10 ೧೦ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮಿಟಕಿಸುವವನು ಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣನು, ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಗದರಿಸುವವನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಕರನು.

He that bekeneth with the iye, schal yyue sorewe; a fool schal be betun with lippis.

11 ೧೧ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿ ಜೀವದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುತ್ತದೆ.

The veyne of lijf is the mouth of a iust man; but the mouth of wickid men hilith wickidnesse.

12 ೧೨ ದ್ವೇಷವು ಜಗಳಗಳನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.

Hatrede reisith chidingis; and charite hilith alle synnes.

13 ೧೩ ವಿವೇಕಿಯ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಬೆತ್ತ.

Wisdom is foundun in the lippis of a wise man; and a yerd in the bak of him that is nedi of herte.

14 ೧೪ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಪಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಭಾಷಣ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮೀಪ.

Wise men hiden kunnyng; but the mouth of a fool is nexte to confusioun.

15 ೧೫ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಿಗೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆ, ಬಡವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಬಡತನವೇ ನಾಶನ.

The catel of a riche man is the citee of his strengthe; the drede of pore men is the nedynesse of hem.

16 ೧೬ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ದುಡಿತ ಜೀವಾಸ್ಪದ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಆದಾಯ ಪಾಪಾಸ್ಪದ.

The werk of a iust man is to lijf; but the fruyt of a wickid man is to synne.

17 ೧೭ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವನು, ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳದವನು ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು.

The weie of lijf is to him that kepith chastising; but he that forsakith blamyngis, errith.

18 ೧೮ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡವನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರ, ಚಾಡಿಗಾರನು ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನ.

False lippis hiden hatrede; he that bringith forth dispisinge is vnwijs.

19 ೧೯ ಮಾತಾಳಿಗೆ ಪಾಪ ತಪ್ಪದು, ಮೌನಿಯು ವಿವೇಕಿ.

Synne schal not faile in myche spekyng; but he that mesurith hise lippis, is moost prudent.

20 ೨೦ ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಹೃದಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದು.

Chosun siluer is the tunge of a iust man; the herte of wickid men is for nouyt.

21 ೨೧ ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ಭಾಷಣ ಬಹುಜನ ಪೋಷಣ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಮೂರ್ಖರ ನಾಶನ.

The lippis of a iust man techen ful manye men; but thei that ben vnlerned, schulen die in nedinesse of herte.

22 ೨೨ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ಭಾಗ್ಯದಾಯಕವು, ಅದು ವ್ಯಸನವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸದು.

The blessing of the Lord makith riche men; and turment schal not be felowschipid to hem.

23 ೨೩ ಅವಿವೇಕಿಗೆ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿ ವಿನೋದ ವಿವೇಕಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿನೋದ.

A fool worchith wickidnesse as bi leiyyng; but `wisdom is prudence to a man.

24 ೨೪ ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಶಂಕಿಸಿದ್ದೇ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದು, ಶಿಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವು ಲಭಿಸುವುದು.

That that a wickid man dredith, schal come on hym; the desire of iust men schalbe youun to hem.

25 ೨೫ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಎಲ್ಲೋ! ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಕಟ್ಟಡ.

As a tempeste passynge, a wickid man schal not be; but a iust man schal be as an euerlastynge foundement.

26 ೨೬ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಳಿಯೂ, ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಗೆಯೂ ಹೇಗೋ, ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯು ಹಾಗೆ.

As vynegre noieth the teeth, and smoke noieth the iyen; so a slow man noieth hem that senten hym in the weie.

27 ೨೭ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವರ ದಿನಗಳಿಗೆ ವೃದ್ಧಿ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಅಲ್ಪ.

The drede of the Lord encreesith daies; and the yeeris of wickid men schulen be maad schort.

28 ೨೮ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಗೆ ಆನಂದವು ಫಲ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಿಷ್ಫಲ.

Abiding of iust men is gladnesse; but the hope of wickid men schal perische.

29 ೨೯ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ, ಕೆಡುಕನಿಗೆ ನಾಶನ.

The strengthe of a symple man is the weie of the Lord; and drede to hem that worchen yuel.

30 ೩೦ ಶಿಷ್ಟರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕದಲರು, ದುಷ್ಟರು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲರು.

A iust man schal not be moued with outen ende; but wickid men schulen not dwelle on the erthe.

31 ೩೧ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಮೊಳೆಯುವುದು, ನೀಚನ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.

The mouth of a iust man schal bringe forth wisdom; the tunge of schrewis schal perische.

32 ೩೨ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ತುಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿತವಚನ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಚವಚನ.

The lippis of a iust man biholden pleasaunt thingis; and the mouth of wickid men byholdith weiward thingis.
